As promised, Chapter 4 is here!!

It was 6:38pm when the door bell rang. I went to open the door expecting it was Cohen and wondering why he showed up much earlier than I thought, but it's not him.

It's their father, Robert Kane.

"Hello, Mr. Kane, Amelia is inside." I greeted him politely, that's what my mother always taught me, to be polite.

"Daddy!" Amelia was still in the living room when she saw her father.

Mr. Kane came into the living room and sat down on the sofa to talk to Amelia who was sitting on the floor, "Hello, my princess, how are you doing?"

I walked to the kitchen island and joined Shelley there.

"Look, daddy, I draw a unicorn!" Amelia showed her father the piece she was drawing.

Shelley lowered down her voice and said to me with an unbelievable tone, "But she told me she was drawing another dinosaur, how come it's became a unicorn now?"

"Wow, that's a pretty... cute unicorn..." Mr. Kane commented with his eyebrows furrowed, I guess he couldn't tell that Amelia was actually drawing a unicorn either. "Honey, we need to go home now, it's about your dinner time."

Amelia picked up her drawing book and her colored pencils from the floor with Giselle-the-giraffe in her arm, and turned to wave at us. "Goodbye, Carys. Goodbye, Shelley."

"Goodbye, Amelia." We waved back at her.

"Carys, tomorrow, I want to draw a dolphin." Amelia said as Mr. Kane held her up.

"Okay, let's draw a dolphin tomorrow."

"Let's go, honey." Mr. Kane headed to the door with Amelia in his arms.

I felt like there was something wrong, what was it?

Oh, right! The car!

I took the car key I left on the coffee table and asked, "But, Mr. Kane, how about the car?"

"Cohen will be here later. Thank you, Carys." He said before walking out the house.

"Okay. You're welcomed, Mr. Kane."

"Maybe unicorn was one of the dinosaurs' species!" Shelley said after the front door was closed, and she made me jumped a little bit because I wasn't expecting her high volume.

I tried to process what Shelley said, unicorns and dinosaurs... What was she talking about?

"Are you hungry?" The best way to distract Shelley from her current god-knows-what thoughts in her mind was to bring up topics about food.

And that worked, "I'm starving. Let's order pizza." Shelley took the menu she left on the kitchen island, I guessed she already had an idea in her mind about what to eat for dinner.

Then I heard the kitchen door opened and a male voice saying "I heard pizza."

If it's not a voice I was particularly familiar with, I would literally take the knife out from the drawer and threw it at the door's direction.

Turning around and saw two boys walking in, looked beside me and saw a flushing Shelley who suddenly became extremely quiet.

"Hi, ladies." Mason greeted us and closed the door behind him.

"How did you guys come in?" I couldn't believe they just walked in through my kitchen door without knocking.

"You know, you should lock your kitchen door, it's dangerous." Cohen said and took the menu from Shelley.

Did I forget to lock the kitchen door? Maybe I did...

"Papa John's pizza... I want..." Cohen looked at the menu trying to say which flavor he wanted.

But he was interrupted by Shelley before he could finish what he was going to say, "No, we're ordering Hawaiian."

"Then one Hawaiian and one pepperoni." Mason said.

"Extra-large." Cohen raised an eyebrow while he added that, his face saying 'wanna take the challenge?'

I couldn't stand when somebody challenged me, because when they challenged me they were definitely underestimating my ability, and I didn't like anyone assuming that I couldn't do something when it's something I could do.

"You're on! Two extra-large pizzas."

Half an hour later, two girls and two boys, that nobody would ever imagine us having any interactions at all, were now gathered together at my living room, munching two extra-large pizzas while watching World Cup on my TV.

The match that night was between two European countries, and the four of us happened to be cheering for the same team, so when the other team was scoring, we cursed together.

"Shit. No!" Mason cursed a lot during the game, he wasn't going to miss his opportunity to curse now.

"How did that happen?" Shelley said in disbelief.

I recalled what happened just now, trying to ease my anger, "No.7 missed him, that's how."

"He has never scored any fucking goals while he played for his league." Cohen pointed out a fact that I didn't quite know whether it's true or not.

Looking at the three of them, the four of us, my mind wandered away from the game.

We had done things like this for a couple of times now, watching sports games together, the four of us, yet were still strangers at school.

Sometimes I was quite surprise myself, two popular playboys that everyone knew about them at school and wanted to befriend them very badly, with two average girls that our names were constantly being called wrongly and they probably will never know what our real names were, were now doing things that would probably make people's jaws dropped all the way down to the floor when they saw us together.

So, what were we? Strangers? Friends?

Strangers? Yeah, we were definitely strangers in everyone's eyes.

Friends? Calling myself as Cohen's friend? That sounded weird. Furthermore, us, Shelley and Carys, being friends with Cohen and Mason, was that even possible?

If you must know how our names being called otherwise at school, my name without an 's' at the end and just simply 'Cary' was how most of the people called me, and Shelley's one was worse, they called her 'Sally'.

I always wondered how Shelley would react if Mason forgot her real name was 'Shelley' and called her 'Sally' just like everybody else did. Would she be sad? Upset? Or angry? Would she still crushing on him if that's what he did? Too bad my questions could never get an answer, because he remembered her name.

Good news was that the country we all cheered on, won the match that night.

By the way, the two extra-large pizzas were all eaten by us, nothing was left, not even a bit of the crust.
