The next day, I woke up at 7am to take a morning shower and washed my hair. It took me 25 minutes to bath and at least an hour to get my hair done.

Getting out of the shower, I looked at the mirror and sigh. This was the hardest part and I really hated it. First, I have to get rid of the knots in my hair, before blow-drying my wet hair, and after that, I side-braided it.

Then I went over to the other corner of my room to see what I had in my wardrobe.

I took out a white short sleeves tee, my grey jeans and a wine red cardigan and put them on, double checking if I'd put everything I needed in my crossbody bag before going downstairs to eat something before Cohen and Amelia were here.

Wallet? Checked.

Money? Enough.

Umbrella? Kept it.

Water bottle? Don't forget to fill the bottle before going out.

Keys? They're downstairs.

Packet tissues? Oh, almost forgot about it.

I pulled out my drawer and took two packs of packet tissues and a travel-sized wet wipe pack out then put them into my bag.

Shelley could never understand why I would bring so much unnecessary stuffs with me every time I went out, I'd bring the umbrella even though the weather forecast said it would be a sunny day. Well, it was never a bad thing to take some precautions.

I grabbed my phone and watch I left on my bed earlier and went downstairs when I found out my mother was already home after her night shifts at the hospital.

"Morning, mom."

She looked at me up and down noticing I was not in a cozy homewear. "Where're you going?"

"Disneyland. Cohen's bringing Amelia, and he needs help." I said as I poured some milk in a bowl of cereals.

"Two teenagers with a 4-year-old?" Mom raised her eyebrows, worries were all shown between her expressions and her voice, "are you guys sure you can keep her safe?"

Could we keep Amelia safe? That's what kept me up all night. I also wondered if it's a good decision taking Amelia to Disneyland on a Saturday, but I made myself a promise - I would never lay my eyes off Amelia, and I knew I could keep her safe.

"If you're not sure you can keep her safe, then don't go to Disneyland, go somewhere safer with less people," she continued when she didn't get an answer from me, "you must understand your responsibilities on taking care of other people's four-year-old daughter, Carys, nothing you do can atone for that if anything happened to Amelia."

My mother looked really tired after her shifts, I didn't want her to worry more about us, so I answered her in a very certain tone, "I will be extremely careful on watching Amelia, I won't take my eyes off her even for just one second."

She looked at me for a while with many considerations in her eyes, first I saw doubtful, then hesitation, after that trusting before nodding her head, "Okay, keep me updated."

"Sure," I kissed her on the cheek with a joyful grin on my face, "I'll call you every 30 minutes."

She chuckled. "Every one hour will do. Or texts. I won't be able to rest if you call me every 30 minutes."

I took a glance at the clock on the wall, I had only four minutes before it hit 9am, I quickly finished my cereals and washed my dishes then rushed to the door to find my shoes.

"Thank you, mom." I turned to look at my mother after I hopped into my black converse.

She looked confused at my words. "Why for?"

"For trusting me."

"I am your mother, silly, I know you can do it." My mom's gaze shifted to the window beside the front door that could see everything outside, "They're here. Have fun. Be careful."

"I will. Bye, Mom!"

-

"Good morning, Amy." I turned to look at Amelia, who was in her booster seat, with the broadest smile I had after I got into the passenger's seat in Cohen's black SUV and put my seatbelt on.

Amelia had a lollipop in her mouth when she said 'Good morning, Carys' and made it sounded 'Good moding, Cadys'.

I couldn't help but smiled at her overflowing cuteness.

Suddenly a low voice stated quietly from my left, "You should know greeting the one who is driving is much more important than greeting the one at the back. You hurt my feelings, you know? You made me look like a fuc-freaking driver, even drivers get proper greetings from their customers." He almost cursed in front of Amelia, he cursed a lot, but he never did when he's with his sister.

"You should know there's a moment I wanted to sit at the back with Amy, but I thought that would make you look a lot more like an Uber driver so I hopped in here instead, do you want me to go to the back, Mr. Chauffeur?" I pretended like I was going to unbuckle my seatbelt while I finished my sentence.

"No." He put his right hand on mine to keep me from unbuckling my seatbelt. I felt my cheeks getting warmer and butterflies in my stomach by that small gesture of his. His hand was much bigger than mine, and was so warm, I wondered what it felt like holding his hand.

I saw his lips were moving. Was he saying something? I was too immersed in my own thoughts and missed what he said, I didn't even feel he'd already drew his band back on the steering.

I shook my head and came back to the real world when I heard Amelia's voice saying with rage, "Cohen cannot call me Amy! Only Carys calls me Amy!"

I turned to look at Amelia, pouting her mouth, arms across her chest, face became redder than normal, breathing faster than normal. She was angry at Cohen.

How on earth did this two siblings start up a fight?

"Okay, Amy," I tried to calm Amelia down, "nobody's calling you Amy except me, okay? I will make your brother promise never to call you that again."

I heard Amelia's breath was steady again and her face was no longer red, her arms no longer crossed, but still pouting slightly. "Thank you, Carys."

"What spell did you cast on my little sister?" Cohen asked sounding exhausted.

I giggled. "You'll never know."

That's a thing between Amelia and me.

-

We were in Disneyland for almost six hours and we practically rode more than half of the rides here in the park.

"What you want to ride next, princess?" Cohen was holding Amelia in his arms and to allow her has a better view to search for her next ride.

Then she pointed in front of us. "That one!"

I never really paid attention on what's in front of us because my eyes were on Amelia all the time, but when I took a clearer glance, I almost fainted.

"Spi-Spinning tea cup? A-A-Are you sure?"

I was hoping she would shake her head and answer me 'NO' but I never got what I wanted.

The next thing I knew, we were already in the line waiting for our turn.

Why am I doing this?

Why did I come here?

Where's my home? I want to go home...

I didn't know how I got the courage to get inside this yellow tea cup, the only thing I knew was I regretted so much for coming here today.

The ride finished faster than I thought it would be. Thank GOD. Thank LORD. Thank GOODNESS. Thank EVEYRTHING.

I survived. I was still alive!

But why is my world still spinning?

"Are you okay?" Cohen was holding Amelia up again when his other hand took my arms to prevent me from tripping myself, because I walked like a drunk teenage girl after getting out from the tea cup ride.

I didn't feel like want to answer his question, because obviously I was not okay, I was very far from okay, I felt nauseous, I needed a toilet.

Cohen's hand was still gripping my arms, he looked at me with a worried face, "Carys, you look so pale."

Pale. That's what I predicted how I would look like when I first realized we're taking a tea cup ride.

The nausea hit me once again. I really need to go to the girls' bathroom right now.

Without saying any words, I ran off to the toilet I finally caught my sight on, and threw up.

I washed my face and mouth before going out.

My mind was totally blank after throwing up. The person who said she wouldn't lay her eyes off Amelia's, her soul had already gone to somewhere else.

Where does it go?

Home, I suppose.

Where's the siblings, by the way?

I had looked everywhere to find two faces I knew from the crowd full of tourists, luckily before I felt sick again, I heard Amelia called my name. "Carys!"

I turned to the direction I heard the sound and saw Amelia running towards me. She was eating ice-cream and her other hand was grasped by Cohen's.

"Are you alright?" Cohen said passing me one of the ice-creams he was holding in his hand.

I took the vanilla favor ice-cream from him and said, "Thanks. I'm fine, just, no more tea cup ride in the rest of my life."

He snickered after listening to my words, "you're so cute."

He deserved a rolled-eyes for laughing at me.

-

To ease my sickness from the previous ride, Cohen suggested some slow rides for us to take, and I felt much better after that.

We got out from our latest ride when Amelia spotted her new target.

"A candy store!" Amelia was tugging my cardigan with her right hand while her left hand was pointing at a candy shop in front of us, "Carys, can I buy some candy?"

"Sure you can, Amy, but you can't finish them in one day, pinky promise?" I was on my knees and held my pinky finger out in the air.

Soon Amelia entwined her little finger with mine, "Pinky promise."

I smiled and stood up from kneeling position, turning to look at Cohen while holding Amelia's hand, making sure she's with me, "Do you want to come?"

"Nah," he shook his head, "I will wait outside."

"Okay," I nodded before looking down at Amelia, "Let's go."

After hearing what I said, Amelia began running towards the candy shop but never let go of my hand, I was being dragged into the shop by that sweet little girl.

In front of the candy store, there's a stall selling flowers. The flower lady smiled at me before I came into the store. I wanted to return her a smile, but never got a chance because of Amelia.

"Wanna buy some flowers?" I saw the flower lady asked Cohen who was following us.

After that I lost sight of them, but I did hear something before I went to the deeper of the shop with Amelia.

"No. I'm fine. Thanks."

"Buy some flowers for your girlfriend."

That's all I could hear from that far, but my mind couldn't stop repeating the last few words I heard.

Buy some flowers for your girlfriend.

Girlfriend? Does she mean me?

I knew I shouldn't be so absentminded because I needed to look after Amelia. She was so thrilled with those colorful candies in front of her eyes right now.

"Can I buy all of them?" She asked with hopes.

As much as I didn't want to let her down, but there's no way I would let her buy all the candies, first, I didn't want to have diabetes at such young age, second, I didn't have enough money to afford all of them.

I cleared my throat, "I am sorry, but, no, you can't buy all of them, Amy, eating so much candies is very bad for your body."

She pouted but nodded her head, "Then, how many can I buy?"

-

After around seven to eight minutes, Amelia had finished picking her candies and we were now waiting for our turn in the queue to pay.

"I want to pee, Carys." Amelia said after I done making the payment.

I saw there's another way out from the candy store which leaded to a ladies' room, so I took out my phone and called Cohen while taking Amelia to the toilet.

"Cohen, Amy said she wants to go to toilet, and there's one behind the candy shop, can you wait for us there?"

"Okay." The other side of the phone said.

When we left the washroom, I saw Cohen was leaning against some fences. We walked up to him and I noticed there's something in his hands.

It was flowers.

"Oh my sweet Bloody Mary, what is this?" I was genuinely startled.

"Roses." He said with a 'are you blind?' face, "for you."

Hit me. Hit me a thousand times. I would never believe Cohen would ever buy me flowers, let alone roses.

"Roses? For me? What's the occasion? April Fools has passed. Is this a scheme?"

He narrowed his eyes, "Can't I buy you flowers without any purposes?"

"We're not that kind of, relation, that the girl will receive flowers from the boy, are we?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Okay, I was just helping out the flower lady by buying some roses from her. Satisfied? Now would you please hold it, some of the crowd are looking at us already."

Glancing around us, Cohen wasn't lying, some people were really staring at us.

I felt myself blushed under the attention of people, and asked quietly, "Why are they looking at us?"

He just shrugged, clearly didn't mind all the attention on him, "I don't know, maybe they thought I am proposing to you and you're going to reject me."

I quickly took the bouquet of flowers from Cohen, trying to smile but failed because I was still uncomfortable, "Well, thank you, I guess."

He burst into laughter after hearing me, I snapped him a glare, "Would you please stop laughing? Now people possibly thinking you're a maniac. And why are they smiling at us?"

He was still laughing, "Maybe they thought you received my proposal and were happy for us. Oh my gosh, this is so funny."

He took Amelia from me and held her up in his arm, and then walked away.
