Six years later

The loud sound of something crashing snapped me out of my reverie. I mentally facepalmed. Not again.

"Jimin! Stop it!", I yelled from my room.

The sound stopped and for a while, I was at peace once again. Then, again, I heard a sound of glass crashing. I took  a deep breath.

"Stop it, Jimin!", I shouted as I got out of the room and walked towards the kitchen.

I gasped when I saw the state of the kitchen. A mess, a literal mess.

"I swear to God---", Flour was scattered all around the kitchen. The kitchen utensils were on the floor and water was spilled all around the room. "What the heck happened here?"

"Mommy...", A little boy peeked at me from the kitchen counter. His big eyes were fixed on me, the same ones that resembled Jimin's.

I sighed and said, "Come here, Yohan."

"Mommy, I told daddy not to cook.", Yohan, my six year old baby boy told me stubbornly.

He came out from his hiding. His clothes were all covered in flour.

"Mommy...", Another voice came and Jimin himself appeared in front of my sight, a mischievous grin was widespread on his face. He was covered in flour from head to toe.

"What the hell were you doing?", I said in exasperation. Jimin just grinned sheepishly.

"You shouldn't be out of your room.", Jimin said as he came towards me.

"Don't try to change the topic.", I told.

"It's Yohan who didn't allow me to cook.", Jimin said pouting.

"Me?", My little boy gaped at Jimin.

"No Mommy.  Daddy wanted to eat ice-cream and I just told him what you had said. Not to touch the ice-cream tub because it's bad for teeth. When I tried to take it from daddy, he didn't give it to me and everything fell down. Also the flour and water. "

"Yohan, this boy---" Jimin rubbed his forehead.

"Mommy, I'm telling the truth. Pinky promise.", He said.

I just chuckled at him. "I know, my baby boy."

"And you Mr Park, how are you even worse than a six year old kid?", I stared at him sternly, my both hands were on my hips.

"You love him more than me.", Jimin pouted. "And this boy just has to be the biggest mom's pet."

"It's being loyal to mommy.", Yohan stuck out his tongue, holding the hem of my dress.

"Hmph, my daughter will be loyal to me when she comes.", Jimin said smiling softly as his eyes were drawn to my pregnant belly of seven months.

"Mommy, no ice-cream right? To daddy?", Yohan said.

"Yes, yes. Now, Yohan, let's go to the room. You have to study.", I said as I pecked my boy on his forehead.

"No kisses for me?", Jimin said.

I inched closer to him and ruffled his hair. The white specks of flour fell as I ran my hands through his silky waves. "Because of the mess you have done, no kisses for you."

He groaned in frustration. "I will clean up everything. Now can I get one?"

I just rolled my eyes. "You are such a big baby, Jimin."

I leaned to give a simple kiss on his forehead but he took me by surprise when my lips landed on his own. I melted into his arms as he kissed my lips softly.

The feeling still hasn't changed even after six years. Even after six years, he  makes my stomach flutter with butterflies. Somehow, I have fallen for him more than I had already had.

"Eww! You are doing it again!", Yohan's voice made us pull back as I just laughed. He had closed his eyes with his small palms.

"Now, Mrs Park. You aren't coming out of your room again.", Jimin commanded.

"I'm tired of staring at the wall all day.", I told.

"You aren't over-exerting yourself. That's a command.", Jimin said. Leave it to him to be the most protective husband and father.

"Okay, I'm going.", I said.

"Not like that.", He winked at me and before I could process it, he had already carried me in his arms.

"Jimin, put me down!", I shouted.

"Let me do the walking for you, wife."

I buried my face in the crook of his neck, inhaling the lovely scent that made me feel at ease.

Yohan followed us quietly with his soft baby steps.

Time really flies.

It feels like yesterday when I walked down the aisle to marry him.

He laid me down on the bed again and I took the book which I had been reading earlier.

The red paper roses were decorated in a vase. Jimin didn't go back on his words. He makes a red paper rose for me everyday. He even taught Yohan how to make it. He told my little boy that if he would have a pollen allergic girlfriend, he will need to learn how to make these. He has started teaching his charming ways to our son. I shook my head smiling.

Things have changed a lot in the past six years. Soya got married to the architect guy, Lee Min Ho in the same year.  She resigned from the secretary position.

I took the job again for the first year but I gave up when I found that I was pregnant with Yohan. I still remember those days. Everything was so new, so strange but I was so happy because he was by my side.

Yoongi and Erin married three years ago. I really thought that their date had gone disastrous because Yoongi's ex showed up on the date and Erin said that  she hated Yoongi. But it surprised me when they got engaged after a year. Jimin was telling that finally, his philosophical boy got a woman who could take away his sleep. They are blessed with a beautiful daughter named Deliah.

Yohan is going to have a baby sister soon. Jimin does most of his work from home, always accompanying me.  His mother was the happiest when we got married and Yohan is her favourite baby boy. She spoils him too much.

I was exhausted because of the whole day's activities. After having dinner, I drifted off to sleep once again. Jimin would put Yohan to sleep and would accompany me.

A loud knock on the door made me awake. I sought for the warmth by my bedside but found it cold. I switched on the lamp lying on the table. It was around 11: 55 pm. I got up from the bed and stretched my limbs. Where is Jimin? Did he perhaps drift off to sleep while tucking Yohan in?

The door slowly creaked open and Yohan peeked inside the room.

"Mommy?"

"Yohan, why aren't you asleep yet? This is not a proper bedtime. Where is your dad?", I said to him.

"Please stay put, mommy. I'm going.", Yohan said and left leaving me surprised.

After a while, the door was again opened and this time, a person entered inside the room holding a tray.

"Jimin...", I called out surprised as Yohan sang a "Happy Birthday" song happily and followed him.

A lovely cake stood in the middle of the tray. The candles had been lit up, their light illuminating the dim room. "Happy Birthday to wifey" was written on the cake in a cute messy font.

I literally melted at the sight of it. Yohan followed his dad carrying a balloon and a lovely red paper rose. The clock struck 12 indicating that it was my birthday today. I had completely forgotten about it.

"Happy Birthday, wifey.", Jimin said softly, his eyes crinkled as a gorgeous smile graced his beautiful lips.

"Happy birthday, mommy!", Yohan said enthusiastically clapping his hands.

Tears welled up in my eyes. Damn, the pregnancy hormones made me want to sob so hard.

"Mommy, are you crying?", Yohan asked. I shook my head half crying, half smiling.

"So, that's why you two made the mess in the kitchen today.", I said.

They scratched the back of their necks , smiling sheepishly.

"Make a wish.", Jimin said as he held the tray in front of me.

I closed my eyes and proceeded to make one.

I wish that we can stay like this happily for a long...long time. That's all I need and I wish for.

I opened my eyes and blew the candles.

"Mommy, what did you wish for?", Yohan asked.

"We shouldn't tell our wishes to others.", I shook my head. Yohan pouted but nodded.

I cut the cake and fed it to Jimin and Yohan. Jimin in return devilishly smeared the cake on my face. The cake was delicious.

"Mommy, I've a gift for you!", Yohan said and took out a birthday card. "I made it myself.", He said proudly.

I accepted the birthday card which had a message messily scribbled on with the help of a colour pen.

Happy Birthday to mommy. Please take care of yourself and don't worry about me and daddy a lot. Daddy says that it's bad for my baby sister. I can't wait to play with her. I promise I will be a good boy and not eat  ice-cream and chocolates a lot.

----Yohan

"Thank you so much, my baby. ", I said as I ruffled his hair and pecked him on his cheeks.

"Daddy helped me to write it. You are welcome, Mommy.", The boy smiled.

"To the lovely mother of my children.", Jimin grinned and handed a black box to me.

"If it's any jewellery, I am going to return it back, Jimin. I am already tired of you hoarding jewelleries in the closet.", I said as I unwrapped the box.

I took off the lid and gasped when I saw a box full of red paper roses. A white note was in the middle and some words were written in an elegant handwriting.

"I will love you till the last rose dies..."

---Jimin

A smile played on my lips as I remembered that quote. "But weren't there real roses at first and only a fake rose at last?", I asked.

"Ours is a special case. Even our first rose won't die. Hence, there will never be any chance for the last rose.", He smiled softly, his eyes gleaming with love that I am used to seeing all these years.

"Cheesy.", I said.

"But still yours.", He replied.

He stared into my eyes as I got lost in them.

"Yohan...", I turned to look for my son but he was already sleeping by the side of the bed. He had  already dozed off.

I turned my attention to Jimin who made Yohan comfortable on the bed. Then, he leaned closer towards me.

"I love you.", He whispered as he kissed my lips gently.

"I love you too."

My heartbeat raced as butterflies fluttered in my stomach. He pressed soft kisses on my neck and lips. His tongue traced the seam of my lips, coaxing me to open them. My lips parted and he took the advantage of that entering inside my mouth and exploring it as fireworks erupted around us.

Being drunk on Park Jimin's lips still gives the same feeling.

The feeling that makes you want to fall deeper than you already have.

"Yohan....is...here...", I said in between the kisses and he finally pulled away.

"Wouldn't he want to know how his parents made him?", Jimin smirked.

"Jimin!", I hit his arm and he chuckled warmly.

He laid down by my side putting me in between him and Yohan. His hands gently caressed my big belly. He planted a soft kiss on it and started drawing circles around it which soothed my nerves.

He buried his head in the crook of my neck as his arms wrapped around my body. The sound of his heart beating against me worked as a lullaby as always and I drifted off to my dreamland.....the last thought in my mind being him and also the first thought when I would wake up in the morning.

I don't believe in fairy tales. We would have problems in life for sure. Sometimes,  we  would have fights, misunderstandings and arguments.

But at the end of the day, he is still my home, the one whom I return to. The one who will always be by my side. The one who I will love forever. Because there's noone like him...simply noone like him.

If happily ever after is true, then I wish that our story can also end with one......our very own happily ever after....

---I saw that you were perfect. So, I loved you. And I saw that you weren't perfect and I loved you even more---
