"Haunted house?", I gulped as I saw the sign that read Haunted House in a spooky handwriting.

"After you made me go through such a horrifying experience in the ferris wheel, now it's my turn to choose.", He replied in a  relaxed tone.

"I...", The one thing which I couldn't bear at all in this world was anything related to horror. Goosebumps formed in my body just by the thought of it. Tell me a coward or whatever, But I absolutely can't tolerate anything horror. I remember watching a movie all alone in which the kids go to a haunted house and they get trapped in it. That was an absolutely terrible experience. From that day onwards, I have just taken a "No horror" agenda, especially "no haunted house".

"So, are we up for it?", Jimin asked me.

"I...", Be brave. I am not gonna chicken out.

He stared at me waiting for my answer.

"....Let's go.....", I said taking a long breath.

He grinned at me. I don't know if he had a clue about my fear or not. But I don't ever remember telling him about this. Besides he is gonna be by my side.

But no.

I couldn't be more wrong.

"We are having a special contest today.", The person in charge replied as we stood in front of him. He handed us our tickets and we looked at him expectantly.

What useless contest would you hold? Dancing with ghosts?

"If I'm not wrong, you two are a couple.", He said.

"Yes.", I nodded.

"How much do you believe in the power of love?", The person asked.

I checked the board once again that was standing outside which had the words Haunted House written.

We are in the right location.

We didn't stumble to any dating house or relationship house or whatever. What the heck is the relation? Unless this man's going to set us up with ghosts.

"Uhh...it can bring the dead back to life?", I just joked sarcastically but the man smiled widely at me.

"You are right!", He said.

He is serious?! About this bullshit?!

"What the hell do you mean by that? If you are going to try setting her up with any ghost of yours, I am going to make sure that you will be a  ghost, roaming in this ghost house forever.", Jimin said and pulled me towards him tightly. I tried to control my lips from breaking into a smile.

Colour drained from the man's face. He laughed awkwardly wiping the sweat off his forehead. "No, No, I don't mean that. It's like a treasure hunt game. Just that a couple needs to act separately. Anyone of you two can go at first and retrieve a red box inside. There will be two boxes. One he will retrieve, one you will retrieve. A reminder that when the other party is doing the task, you can't go inside. Otherwise you will get disqualified. If you two both become successful, you will get a prize which has a special meaning of bringing the dead back to life."

"W-What?", I stammered, my face suddenly becoming pale. Shit.

"That's it?", Jimin asked confidently. "You aren't scamming, are you?"

"No, I wouldn't  dare. You can ask the couples over there. They have all won the prize.", He said and showed 4 couples to us standing a bit farther.

"Okay then. Make your prize ready. I  will go first.", Jimin told. Before I could protest and run away, Jimin headed towards the entrance. He disappeared out of my vision soon.

Shit, that means I have to go alone. Oh fuck. Oh fuck.

After some 15 minutes, he came back with a red box, whistling happily.

"Congratulations! You did it!", The man told.

"It wasn't hard at all.", Jimin said.

"I am certain that you two will win the prize.", The man told.

"F-From where did you get it?", I stuttered nervously. Going to a haunted house alone? What sin did I ever do?

"It was on top of a moving ghost which was smeared in red.", He chuckled.

I sucked in a sharp breath. Do I really have to do this? Thanks for destroying whatever courage I had left.

"Your turn now, Miss.", The man said.

I nodded and shakily walked towards the entrance. I glanced at Jimin for the last time before I went in.

As soon as I was inside, it was eerily silent. At first, the lights were bright. I mustered up whatever courage I had left and walked more before the bulbs started flickering. I looked around for the box. I was absolutely at my wits end. I just wanted to get that damn thing and sprint towards the exit.

I was walking when suddenly something sprung up in front of me. I let out a loud shriek and fell back on my butt.

"PARK JIMIN!", I shouted loudly.

A grinning skeleton hovered in front of me. I don't know if skeleton grinned or not  but it looked like it was grinning, jesus.

My chest was heaving up and down and my heart was beating erratically.

I got up trembling. The box, the box. I need the box.

I walked further ignoring the skeleton. Just when I had made it further, I let out another loud scream when something pulled my leg.

"JIMIN! I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!", I yelled on top of my lungs.

The creepy music which was  playing wasn't helping the situation at all. My eyes roamed around my surrounding and I let out a shaky breath when I saw the box hanging a few inches far from me. It's right there. I made it.

I walked towards it. Just when I was about to grab it, suddenly, I felt something cold trickle down my forehead. I gulped and touched my forehead. In the dim vision, I saw red blood.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!", I shrieked and started rubbing my forehead vigorously. Tears sprung out from the corner of my eyes. I was about to faint from  fear when something warm enveloped me.

Fuck really?! A ghost is hugging me! Give me a damn break!

I quickly turned around to scream. My eyes were definitely as wide as saucers. My words got lost mid-way and the noise came out muffled because of the soft lips that suddenly crashed into mine.

I inhaled the musky scent and closed my eyes, feeling calm and safe in his arms. I gripped onto him tightly, my fears vanishing away. His warm hands wrapped around my body. He was here.

His one hand caressed my cheeks gently while the other started drawing circles on my back soothing my nerves. He pressed a gentle kiss on my temples.

When I finally opened my eyes, I felt embarrassed.

I slowly  whispered, "We are disqualified..."

He simply smiled at me making my heart skip a bit. "Screw those rules. If I want to come to you, then I sure as hell will. Nothing can stop me. "

"I am afraid of haunted...", I trailed off, feeling dejected.

"I know. By your screams, I bet even the people who are inside the ferris wheel know.", He giggled.

"Shut up. You are making me feel more terrible. But I was so close to getting the box. See, it's there.", I told. "No gift for us. My fault."

"I am sure you wouldn't want that gift.", He told laughing.

"Why?", I asked curiously.

"Everyone gets a skeleton which has some laughing device installed in it as the prize.", He said.

"He meant that by waking the dead to life! That shit!", I shouted in exasperation. I wouldn't have suffered so much if I had known.

Jimin's laugh rang in my ears. He was having fun watching me pissed.

"Close your eyes. We are going out.", He whispered.

"How will I walk if I close my eyes?", I told shaking my head.

"Who said that you are gonna walk?", He said and before I could say another word, he carried me in his arms in bridal style.

"What are you doing?!", I told in shock.

I wrapped my arms around him tightly fearing that I would fall.

"Jimin! Let me down!"

"No, I will carry you.", He said.

"Let me down!"

But he didn't budge and I gave up protesting. I buried my head in his chest and closed my eyes feeling safe in his arms.

The haunted house experience wasn't so great. We didn't end up getting the gift thankfully but when we walked out of the house, I did hear a lot of girlfriends telling their boyfriends to be caring and protective and carry them in their arms like Jimin. I ended up letting out a muffled laugh in his chest.

Oh, how I love him. But unfortunately, there's only one Jimin in this world. So, sorry girls.

"You didn't even go for lunch today.", Erin nudged my elbow.

I looked up from my computer. The days had been passing so busily. The collaboration product of the Park Industries and our company had already been launched. It had been a success, it's main credit going to the Park Industries brand in the marketing industry.

It had also opened up huge prospects to our company. New investors had been pouring in and the work load had gotten worse. It had been around two months since that amusement park date.

Jimin and I would spend most of the time  together. I could see him often at the company since he had to frequent his visit here with the release of the product. Work or not, we were happy and that mattered the most.

"Just finishing some e-mails. I wasn't hungry anyways.", I replied to Erin who sat down in her own seat.

After our relationship was revealed, it spread around the whole company like a wild fire. For days, people were talking about it and I was very pissed with Jimin because of that. But after a while, the matter finally cooled down.  Still, I would get some not-so-good stares from the female population and the men, let's say that every man thinks twice before interacting with me. Because of the great Park Jimin.

When we are in a room for a meeting, literally everyone stares at us in anticipation and I just want to yeet myself out of the window. This is a freaking company, not some high school drama.

Nara was annoyed because of my relationship with Jimin a lot but things have gotten better. She now knows better not to mess with me and my man.

"How to politely reject a man?", Erin asked for the nth time today.

I shrugged my shoulders, giving her a teasing smile. "You got Min Yoongi interested in you. It's gonna be hard."

"He has been pestering me to go on a date with him for a week. He isn't giving up!", She said in exasperation.

"Why are you rejecting him anyways? He is a cool guy. You can just hang out.", I said.

She scrunched her nose. "I don't understand his motive. Hell, I don't understand that man."

"Love is hard to understand.", I replied.

"There's no love here jeez!", She said throwing her hands in air.

"Then, why don't you wanna go out with him?"

"Because-Because he kinda intimidates me...", She blurted out.

"He intimidates you?", I laughed.

"Yes.", She rolled her eyes.

"Just give it a shot. Who knows if you two can work  out?"

"Not gonna happen.", She said and started doing her own work.

I typed away the last part of my resignation letter.

Yup, resignation letter. For two times.

But this time, there's not gonna be an annoying boss who is hell bent on not making me leave.

I smiled to myself. Who knew that things would turn out like this?

I had just taken this job on a whim wanting some distraction in my life off him. Now, that we were great, I couldn't see myself continuing the job here. I hadn't told this to Jimin yet. I wanted to surprise him.

After 10 days, I was going to leave the company. I mailed the letter to the head. Now, I just had to wait.

"You really want to leave?", Erin asked looking sad.

I nodded. I had already told this to Erin and she was sad to let me go but I had consoled her saying that we would have much time to hang out despite leaving work.

"Have you thought about what you are going to do next?", She asked me.

"Go to find my inspiration once again.", I chuckled.

"You can't be serious.", She responded in disbelief.

"Well, I haven't thought about it. Let's see.", I said.

Jimin had been constantly appearing in the company just to have  his favourite black coffee made by me. One day, I got too tired and asked him why he would drive daily just to have a simple black coffee.  He replied that the coffee is bitter when he drinks it in his own company and he just wants to see the person who makes it sweet everyday. I remember blushing profusely.

Imagine not falling in love with such a smooth man like him.

I had also gotten a chance to hang out with Soya sometimes. She is going out with that  architect guy from the company nowadays, the one who was paired with us in the game.

My sister as usual is too engrossed in her own work and wattpad books. That girl is single as hell but she doesn't wanna find any boyfriend because she has her standards way too high up in the clouds. If she would find a boyfriend, I wouldn't have to see her crying over a fictional character for hours. But well, whatever.

The day passed by. It was finally time to leave. Erin had already left after bidding me goodbye. I also packed my stuffs to leave.

When I got out of the company doors, the guard standing by the door pointed towards a black car to me. I instantly recognized it.

I rushed towards the car and tapped on the window lightly. The window slid down and I saw Jimin with a captivating smile on his lips.

"You are again here.", I told.

"Because it's been 4 days, 16 hours, 45 minutes and 10 seconds since I have last seen you.", He said pointing towards his watch.

"Counting seconds now, aren't we?", I said trying not to smile.

"Come on, get in.", He told and I got inside the car.

As soon as I was inside the car, he pulled me in his arms and whispered in my ears. "I missed you."

He buried his face in the crook of my neck as I ran my fingers through his soft waves.

"You are going to make me suffer from diabetes one day.", I replied.

"I am just a man full of sweet words.", He winked at me and I rolled my eyes at him.

"I am resigning.", I said after a moment.

"What?", He lifted his face up looking surprised.

"Yes, I am resigning. What should I do after this? Any suggestions for me, Mr Park?", I said brushing my nose against his, smiling at him mischievously.

"I have a thing in mind.", He replied after a while, smile growing on his face. "But you will have to wait. I will send the contract to you."

"What is it?", I asked in curiosity.

"You will have to wait, love.", He whispered smiling brightly before starting to drive.

----"I don't believe in magic. ", The boy said.  The old man replied, "You will when you see her."----
