"Miss Kim, isn't this news so exciting?", Soya asked me.

I was hearing her rambling while massaging my temples. It's her first time participating in the Annual Staff week, so she was very excited.

I had completely forgotten about the Staff week. Mr. Park informed me today and I had to inform everyone as well. The date was just after 2 days. Basically, it's a week that is conducted by the Park Industries for its staff by taking everyone to outings and all and conducting games and competitions.

But the thing is no one likes it.

Because Mr. Park assigns all the staff to prepare their performance review, their mistakes, and the things they have learned for the whole year. And not only that, they have to write about how they have contributed to the company by doing their work. They also have to write a review on the facilities provided by the company and how more improvement can be made.

At least one staff should prepare about 10 pages of review. And Mr. Park goes through all of them. So the whole thing becomes 10 times more intimidating.

"Soya, did you finish preparing the notice?", I asked her.

"Yes, all set.", She told.

"Give me that paper now. I have to go and inform everyone. Do you want to join me?", I asked.

"Sure, Miss Kim.", She said and handed me the paper. She followed behind me to the different departments of the company.

I first came across the Management Department. Sliding the glass door, I entered the area along with Soya where everyone was working and chatting.

The head of the Management Department, Mr. Choi Beomseok approached me. The middle-aged man's laughter filled my ears. He was a very friendly man.

"Hello Miss Kim, what brings you here today?", He asked.

"Hello, Mr. Choi. I am here with news from Mr. Park.", I told.

"I see. And is she Miss Lee?", Mr. Choi asked.

Soya politely greeted him. After exchanging greetings, Mr. Choi drew the attention of everyone towards me.

"Miss Kim is here to make an announcement everyone.", He said.

The area went silent and I started speaking. "Hello everyone, Today I am here to inform you about the Annual Staff Week that is organized by the company every year. The week activities are going to be conducted after two days. I hope we can have lots of fun and learn a lot this year as well. Mr. Park invites everyone to the Annual Staff week. Hopefully, you all will participate. Thank you!"

I finished my speech and after that, everyone groaned in frustration. I was expecting the same reaction. Mr. Choi laughed. "Looks like everyone is really excited."

I chuckled and after telling goodbyes, I headed towards the other areas of the company. After informing everyone, I pasted the notice on the company bulletin board.

Then, I headed to my workplace with Soya. We began working. I taught many things to her the whole day and she patiently learned everything. She will definitely do a good job.

Later, I took a break and were having some coffee along with Soya. She looked at me smiling and said, "Miss Kim, I can see that everyone in the company loves you a lot. They were all so nice to you."

"I have worked here for six years. It's not that long but this place is like home to me. Everyone is like family. Maybe it is because we share the same motive, to work hard every day for our loved ones.", I told.

"Why do you want to quit then? As far as I can see, Mr. Park is really fond of you and you two seem to have no problems.", She said.

"To be honest, I don't know why I am leaving as well. But I guess, it's about time as well. Because I don't want to be Miss Kim forever. I want to be Y/N. I want to be my own person. After I get home after a long day, I wish that I would first reflect on myself rather than correcting the mistakes of others. I don't want to create any backup plans anymore. I just want to live in the moment and be happy. I want to think for myself because I haven't done that in a long time. I think it's about time, I discover my true self.", I told.

"What do you want to do? Where do you want to go?", She asked.

"I want to go somewhere. To a place where it is cold yet still hot, to warm my heart. I want to spend my time in a place that has the smell of the sea as well as the coziness of the mountains. I want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, even if it's just for a little time."

"You look like you need a long vacation.", She told.

"Yeah, I don't remember taking it the last time.", I laughed.

She paused for a while and then asked, "Miss Kim, do you like anyone?"

"Yeah, I like a lot of people, my friends, family.", I said, though I knew the double meaning behind that question.

"Please don't act dumb. You know what I am talking about. Have you ever had any romantic feelings for anyone?", She said.

"No.", I told.

"Are you sure? Like never?", She said.

"No.", I shook my head.

"That's weird. I used to get a crazy amount of butterflies in my belly when I had a crush once. You must have experienced it. You might not have noticed it. "

I thought for a while. Have I really felt those types of things?

"Uhmm...How does it feel to like someone?", I asked.

She stared at me in disbelief. "Did I hear right?"

"Yes. I don't know how it feels to like someone.", I said.

"Haven't you watched any movies?", She asked.

"The last time I watched one was six years ago and I don't remember it at all. It was something about saving the world from disaster and all."

"Miss Kim, I am not an expert myself. So, I think it's good to take the help of Google.", She said.

"Alright. I will see that later.", She said.

"I will go and inform Mr. Park about his schedule.", She got up from her seat.

"Don't forget to take his-----"

"Coffee. I know. I swear to god the way you take care of every detail related to him--", She said.

I giggled and she left.

After a whole day's work, I lay down on my bed. Changing into my comfy PJs, I pondered about the whole situation.

How to know if you Like someone?

I searched it. The first thing which came was:

●You can't stop staring at them.

Shitty. I definitely don't like anyone then. How can you like someone and can't stop staring at them? Don't you have to get shy and all?..... Right?

And then a memory flashes in my mind.

The day when he came to my apartment drunk. I couldn't push him back. I couldn't help myself from taking in the beauty of that gorgeous man in front of me. He was truly mesmerizing.

●You care about that person.

Flashback:

"Then, why do you care for him so much? You weren't even paying attention to the food. Your eyes were focused on his each and every movement, assuring if he was feeling comfortable or not, liking the food or not, feeling better or not. Y/N, what is this? Explain it to me."

My sister demanding an explanation from me about why I care so much for him. He is my boss. So it's not unusual, right?

●You get jealous when you see someone close to them.

Why would I feel jealous of seeing someone with Mr. Park? I have never felt that. Or have I?

Flashback:

"Miss Kim, Miss Lee left some 20 minutes ago to Mr. Park's mansion. He had called her."

If Mr. Park had any problems, he would always call me...I know that it's good for me and him. But after all this time, am I still not ready to be replaced yet?

What bullshit is this? I don't like Mr. Park in that way. I certainly don't.

I shook my head vigorously. No, I don't. I don't like him.

●You can't stop thinking about them.

●you want them to be happy.

●You feel like you are high.

I scrolled to the bottom of the page reading and leaving out some. Then, there was the last point.

●You are willing to wait for them.....

But what if I can't anymore? Hasn't it been a long time? It has been this long.....or have I been unconsciously waiting all along?

And what if those feelings are nothing for that other person? For that someone you like?
