"Yes Carter Wells I will run away with you,"

Her respond replays in my mind as she grabs our suitcases still shaking in excitement. I walk up before her and put my lips to her ear. She shivers at my hot breath hitting her ear.

"Hey I can grab the bags and take them down to the car you go change into some comfortable clothes for the plane," I say before spinning her around and kissing her beautiful pink lips.

She's shocked at first but kisses back.

"O-okay-y," she manages to say but she stutters.

I love the affect I have over her after all these years.

I grab the bags and head out of the apartment door.

We going to need a house so we can make more children in this world.

I put our bags into the trunk of the taxi that's taking us to the airport. I hope she likes everything I've planned for us in the next 72 hours of this adventure. I head back upstairs to meet my beautiful girlfriend/ mother of our child.

How is it possible that she can look good anything she wears. She opens the door because I forgot the keys inside silly me I know. She wearing grey sweatpants and a cropped sweatshirt.

6 hours 45 minutes later:

"Carter where are we can I take this stupid blind fold off," she asks impatiently and annoyed with me.

I laugh "No sweetheart that would ruin the surprise,"

"Ugh but I miss your cute face," she says pouting her lips out.

Wow she's good.

Carter no don't ruin this.

"No that won't work on me this time," I respond sighing.

She sighs loudly and dramatically.

"Dramatic as always," I says smirking.

"I know you're smirking even if I can't see," she says still annoyed.

I bend down and kiss her lips. She freezes because she doesn't know if it's me and then kisses back after feeling my lips.

Man I can't stop kissing her.

I walk us to a beautiful view it's called the Cooley Peninsula.

"Carter I feel sand are we in the Bahamas," she asks giggling as she wriggles her feet in the sand.

She loves the sand ever since we went to South Mission Beach when we were teenagers.

Flashback:

"Carter where are we going," she asks me for 400th time today in this car.

"Em for the last time its a surprise," I ask her laughing.

"I hate surprises," she says annoyed.

"I know Em I'm sorry," I say feeling guilty.

"Oh Carter it's okay,"

"I love teasing sweetheart,"

She blushes at my words I love this happens she so cute.

RING RING

I answer my annoying phone.

"Hello," I ask.

"Hey baby," Rebecca the girl I'm hooking up with this week.

"Oh hey Rebecca," I say nervously scratching the back of my neck side eyeing Emma's reaction.

"Can you come over I miss your body baby," she says in a seductive voice.

I wonder what Emma's seductive voice sounds like.

"Um no I can't I'm with Emma right now sorry,"

"Oh okay well tomorrow then," she says slightly annoyed.

"Yeah okay,"

I hung up the phone looking at Em.

Her beautiful smile was now a frown.

Shit now she's upset.

An hour later.

"Carter where are we," she asks with my hand over her eyes.

"Shh just wait," I say before picking her up and holding her in my arms.

"Carter what th---," she gasps.

I finally set her down in the sand.

"Oh my god are we at a beach," she asks before she opens her eyes.

"Carter oh my goodness this is great wait I don't have my bathing suit," she say quickly frowning.
"Yes you do," I answer holding up a bag.

Flashback Over:

"Carter come on I want to know," she says out of excitement.

"Okay okay," I say before taking off the blind fold.

"Oh my wow it's beautiful," she says gasping from shock.

"Where are we," she asks spinning around to look at me.

"Ireland,"

"Wow," she says kissing me.

"Thank you,"

Her now frown goes back to a bright smile.

"Oh well I was um wondering if you wanted to hang out right now but it looks like you already have plans so um bye I guess," she says nervously playing with her fingers.

She smiles.

"Sorry Hannah I can't right now," I finally say to her.

Flashback Over:

"Carter are we ready," she asks me.

"Yes,"

"I love you, you know that right," I ask her.

"Yes I do know that and I love you too," she responds.

"Do you know why," I ask playing with fingers as our hands are intertwined.

"Why," she asks giggling.

Her laugh drives me crazy in a good way.

"Because you're my number one girl,"

She laughs at the memory.

"Really now,"

"Yeah,"

She kisses me and then keeps walking.

The rest of the day we hang out by walking all around and eating weird and different foods. Her smile still brightens up my day.

"This is amazing," Emma moans tasting soda bread pudding as we walk down the road.

She put the spoon she used into my mouth she's right it is amazing.

"I love you Emma and one day we are going to get married," I explain to her.

I get down on one knee looking at her as she gasps. Finally looking down at my shoes and I tie my shoes.

"Oh my god," she says dryly laughing.

"What," I say getting up smirking.

"Very funny,"

"Oh my goodness you thought I was--," I try to say to her.

"Yeah I did,"

I kiss her cheek "I'm sorry Em,"

"One day," I whisper into her ear as she shivers.

12 hours and 35 minutes later:

We are now in California.

Man I'm nervous.

"CCCaaarrrrtttteeerrr where are we," Emma whines because again I blind folded her.

"Somewhere darling," I answer her smirking.

"You better wipe that smirk off your face I swear to goodness," she demands.

Walking fast to the next aisle. I close my eye's and crash my lips into hers. Her lips tasted sweet and very familiar. I deepen the kiss more breathing heavily. Than I finally pulled away from her. Opening my eye's slowly meeting her shocked eye's. I know her.

"Emma," I say panting from the kiss we shared.

"Oh dude nice one come on Carter let's go it's my turn now," Connor says grabbing my arm pulling me away from her.

"I have to go Carter," she muttered under her breath. Wiping a tear from her cheek before turning and walking out of the store.

"Em wait," I quickly but I was to late she was gone again.

"Carter let's go it's just a girl," Jack says laughing.

I just saw Emma after 5 years but the only thing that's on my mind. Why did her lips taste familiar to me?

Flashback Over:

I smile at the memory.

As I drive to the exact Walgreen's that we kissed at about a year ago.

Finally I parked the car.

"Are we here now," Emma asks trying unbuckle her seat belt.

"Yes and let me help you with that," I ask her unbuckling her seat belt for her.

Getting out of the car I lead her into the store holding her hand.

"Stay here out and take your blind fold off on three okay," I tell her placing her in the exact spot.

I get into my place and then I started to count down.

I grab her hand running out of the Walgreen's.

"Emma I didn't know you loved me back then but I wish I did so could have married you then,"

"I want to be a perfect family with Charlotte and you,"

I kept running to place where I'm proposing.

"I married the wrong person I picked the wrong person,"

"I hate myself for that but now I want to fix it,"

"And I want everyone to know it,"

We finally make it to the playground.

Flashback:

I was going down the slide when I got to the bottom I bumped into someone.

"Oh I'm sowry," I said helping her up.

"It's okawy," she responds.

"What's your name," I asked her.

"I'm Emma what's yours," she asked me.

"Well Em I'm Carter," I tell her.

"Em?? I like that no one calls me that," she laughed at the name.

Flashback Over:

The same playground where it all started.

Lights were everywhere.

As the stars from the night sky glisten the dark.

Candles lit around a heart made out of rose petals.

I take her little hand into mine leading her the heart.

I kneed down into front of her.

"Wait I have to get permission first,"

"Wait what," Emma says confused.

I place her a little out of the heart before continuing.

"Charlotte please come here,"

Emma looks at me still confused.

"Yes dadda I'm here,"

I kneed in front of her.

"Charlotte do you give me permission to take your mothers hands into marriage," I ask her.

"Yes you may," she giggling.

"Thank you," I say kissing her on her cheek

"Oh and here," I say holding a little box.

She opens it and gasp smiling widely.

"Do you like it,"

She takes the little ring out of the box and puts it on her finger.

"No dadda,"

"What," I ask confused.

"I love it," she yells hugging me.

"Thank you dadda," she whispers into my ear.

"You're welcome,"

She runs away to watch.

"Emma,"

"My heart is yours and it always will be,"

She starts crying.

"I'm so sorry I put you through so much,"

"But I finally want to make things right with everything,"

"Emma Rose Sawyer will you be my wife finally," I ask nervously shaking.

"Emma," I snap back into reality.

"But I finally want to make things right with everything,"

"Emma Rose Sawyer will you be my wife finally," I ask nervously shaking.

Oh my god is this really happening.

"Emma," he asks shaking.

"Yes," I whisper finally.

"What was that," he asks again smirking.

"YES CARTER WELLS I WILL MARRY YOU," I finally yell at the top of my lungs.

Finally he slides the ring onto my finger.

He picks me up and spins me around kissing me.

I giggle.

"Thank you thank you thank you," he chants.

"I love you," I say.

"I love you too,"

He sets me down.

"Honey aren't you going to tell me your big news," my mom asks coming out of the dark.

"Mom I'm getting married finally,"

"I'm so happy for you," she says kissing my cheek.

"Thank you,"

Charlotte comes running up to me I pick her up into my arms spinning her around.

"Group hug," Charlotte yells laughing.

Carter gets into the hug with us.

This is the perfect family I always wanted.

I guess I do get the fairy tale ending I wanted after all.

And to think this all started because I was in love with him.

One drunken mistake.

One wrong marriage.

One love.

And we get this in the end.

To his secret child.
