Luke Bilyk as Colton Daniels

One-

With my lacrosse bag and backpack in tow I make my way to my car, a Dodge Challenger, my baby. It was a hell of a lot of money, but she was worth it. I spent the first two years of high school saving for her.

"Hey baby," someone purrs in my ear. I turn around, not surprised to find my smoking hot girlfriend, Crystal. She's all a guy can hope for- great body, fierce personality, hilarious. She's also secretly a little nerdy, which makes her a whole lot hotter.

"Hey babe," I say and open the passenger door for her.

"Are your parents home today?" She asks, propping her feet up on my dashboard. She only does that to annoy me, but I don't mind. It's only when other people do it I mind. Crystal's just something else.

"I'm not sure. I think Christian's home with Chelsea though." Christian, my brother, is that annoying age of thirteen and Chelsea, my sister, is three.

"We can study for our calculus test," Crystal suggests. I agree because I currently have an 77 in that class, which is a high C. I need to bring it up to a B if I want to be at a 3.5 GPA.

My house is medium size, brick, with four bedrooms, enough for us all to have our own room, and a basement, which is the game room. My mom is an interior designer, which shows in our house, and my dad is a gym teacher at a local elementary school.

Something I love about my relationship with Crystal is that it's not based on sex. It may seem that way to everyone else, but we do have meaningful conversations, and I like her for more reasons than just having a hot body. For instance, she has a great laugh. When she laughs, you just want to laugh right along with her. She is driven. She knows what she wants to do with her life, and she will do whatever it takes to get there.

Everyone expects me to be some big player because I play sports. The secret is, I'm not. When I was 16, I lost my virginity, and I cried. I've only been with two different girls sexually, and that is including Crystal.

"Can we take a break from math," I complain after two hours of studying. Why is math so complicating? I'm glad I have Crystal or else I'd be screwed. She's so smart.

Crystal laughs and shuts the calculus book. My main goal is to hear that laugh again. "Sure. Want to get something to eat?"

I jump up from my bed and lead the way to my kitchen. I can never say no to food. My mom is making sandwiches as Christian does his homework at the table.

"Mind making two more?" I ask Mom, sitting at the table. Crystal sits beside me. I grab her hand from under the table.

"Not at all honey. What do you want on it Crystal?" Mom asks her sweetly. Crystal tells her what she wants and Mom starts getting out the ingredients. Another great thing about Crystal is that my mom and my dad love her. She is really good with adults, probably because of her perfect manners. Christian and Chelsea have also taken a liking to her. I'm hoping we can all go on vacation together soon.

Christian flips his dark brown hair before greeting Crystal. We all have Mom's brown eyes and Dad's brown hair. Anyone can tell that we're all siblings, we look so much alike.

Mom hands us our sandwiches with a smile. After Crystal and I are done eating, we go down to the basement to play some ping pong. It's almost impossible to beat her. She always wins.

"Come on, that so counts!" I yell.

Crystal laughs. "No it doesn't Colton, you can't hit it twice."

"So what! It's ten to two, you can spare me a point, can't you?" I ask, making a puppy dog face, which makes her laugh again. I really do love her laugh.

"Nope. Now come on, I want to beat your ass again," she says cockily, and she does just that.

"How do you do that?" Every single time. I have only beat her once, and that was when she broke her arm and had to play with her left hand. She doesn't even have one at her house, so it's not like she practices, unlike me. I make Christian play me at least once a week so I can gain skill to beat her.

She grins and shrugs. "It's a secret."

After one more game, which I lose, I suggest we go out. "It's been a while since I have taken you out on a date," I say, cleaning up our ping pong mess.

"Or you just want to avoid studying calculus," she says cheekily as she walks up the stairs.

"I can't just take my girlfriend out for a nice evening?" I ask, even though she is correct. I love staying inside, just the two of us, but I know if we do we're going to end up studying again, and my brain is just washed out.

She smiles knowingly and slips her shoes on. Before she walks out the door I grab her hips and pull her to me for a kiss.

"Now you can go," I say, pushing her away from me. She scoffs before making her way to my car. Smiling, I climb into the drivers seat.

The next couple of hours are spent hanging out at the pizza place, where we meet our friends. My friends love Crystal, another relationship perk. Her friends are cool, too, just like her, and a lot of them have integrated into my social circle. Crystal's curfew is at ten, so at 9:30 we leave and I drive her home.

"I'll see you tomorrow baby," she says, leaning over to kiss me. I deepen the kiss and we spend the rest of the time making out. Her father usually interrupts us by flicking the porch lights on and off, which tells us it's time for her to go inside.

"See ya later Crystal," I say and she climbs out. I wait for her to be safely inside before backing out of her driveway.

Back at home, Chelsea's in bed and Christian is playing some video game in his room. Mom's watching The Bachelor in the living room, so I know not to bother her. I make my way to my room and FaceTime Crystal, despite us just saying goodbye ten minutes ago.

That's how my days goes. Pretty ordinary. Today has been no exception. I live an ordinary life, with my ordinary family, and my extraordinary girlfriend.

That all changes when the doorbell rings at two in the morning. I'm still FaceTiming Crystal, and she voices my thoughts, "who's that?"

"I don't know," I say. A few seconds later there's another multiple rings of the doorbell and knocks on the door. "Should I go answer it?"

"Yeah, but he careful," Crystal says. I get up from my comfy bed and make my way to the front door, grabbing Christian's baseball bat for extra protection.

"Who is that?" Mom asks from the hallway. Dad is standing beside her, looking confused with his own choice of weapon: his old golf club.

"Should I answer it?" I ask them. They both nod, and that's when Christian comes out of his room.

I gulp and slowly open the door. "There's no one here," I comment, looking around.

"What?" Mom asks, confused. I am too, until I look down.
