CHAPTER SIXTY SIX: PEE TOGETHER!

+++

There was a faint knock on the door that made my sleep fade indicating that someone wanted to come. I inhaled deeply opening my eyes to see Noah fast asleep with his mouth slightly open. I blinked several times to get the sleep to fully go away.

I looked over my shoulder and read the time, 11.09AM it read. The door was knocked again and  I spun my body around fully without struggle since I wasn't in Noah's arms like always. I knew it was the twins since they would always wake up around 10 during the weekends.

What they would always do is that they would brush their teeth, moisturizer their face and go down to watch some TV. When they started to feel hungry they would then come up, their quest to wake me up. I spoke quietly so that I didn't wake up Noah,

"Are my monkeys awake?"

They knew that I had woken up because I wasn't a heavy sleeper nor was I light. I knew that Xavier pushed down the door handle since he was a little taller than Aria. Aria being the cute one popped her head in with the brightest and contagious smile ever.

It was so bright and contagious that it made me smile. She made her presence into the room, Xavier following shortly behind her. They both walked up to the bed, both of them pecking me on the lips,

"Morning mummy,"

"Morning mummy,"

They greeted me one after the other. Just when Aria had said her morning Noah moaned loudly that made us three gasp in shock a little. Aria covered her mouth, her eyes wide so big as she leaned forward and whispered harshly,

"Daddy must be fast asleep! Should we make daddy look pretty like last time?"

I had to think about what she meant by last time but even that was answered in a second as I knew exactly what she was talking about. It was when Noah had the brightest rainbow glistering on his face. Who needed a colouring book or plain paper when you have Noah as a canvas?

I was about to answer her question when Xavier beat me to it as he held Aria by the shoulders and commented,

"We can't do that! Daddy has to show  his face when everyone comes over for lunch later!"

Aria's face fell for a second, a pout on her lips. I moved so that I was propped up using the support of my elbow. I reached forward and tucked some of Aria's hair behind her ear. I then added on to what Xavier said,

"Maybe before everyone comes and we have lunch you can go out with daddy and get some face paints? You can do it with Wendy when she comes,"

She pondered on the thought and then squealed in delight,

"Good thinking mummy! Me and Wendy can make daddy and Uncle Josh's face super duper handsome,"

I chuckled at her, loving the fact that she could never be upset for more than a couple of minutes. From behind Noah stirred in his sleep as he now turned so that he was facing the other way. I looked back at the twins and brought my finger to my lips as a quiet signal.

The twins copied my action before Xavier moved around the bed. I watched him as he made his way round to Noah, I spun my head to watch him only to see him stare at Noah contently. He had a small smile on his face before lifting his gaze on me. He spoke like he was hiding something,

"Daddy looks like me when he's sleeping mummy,"

I gave him a look that sparked curiosity but let it drop knowing that it wasn't anything major. Instead I just flashed him a smile and spoke,

"Like I always say baby, you're literally a mini version of daddy,"

"And what... and what about me mummy?"

Aria questioned cutely. I faced her again to see her fiddle with her fingers,

"You my cheeky monkey are a mini me! We have the same hair..."

I reached forward and twirled some of her around my finger,

"... the same eyes..."

I said as I made my eyes go cross-eyed that resulted her to giggle,

"... and finally we're both royal! Mummy's the queen and you're the queen's precious princess!"

Aria's eyes twinkled in delight as she listened to what I said. She parted her lips to say something but she doesn't get a chance to because I'm caught off, letting out a sudden squeal. Out of the blue two strong arms were wrapped around my waist, making me collide into a firm chest.

My head ended up resting against the pillow, Noah making sure that he held onto me by intertwining his legs with mine. I was fully trapped. Noah had the upper-hand as he then lifted his head up and spoke to Aria,

"Not only that but you're the King's precious people. The king can't live without their precious people and mummy right here is the most precious one,"

I rested my head back to see him look down at me,

"Ain't you babe?"

I could tell from the look of his eye that he was getting playful since Xavier was behind him. I raised an eyebrow and spoke,

"Of course not. Us girls don't need kings and princes. We can do everything without your help. Isn't that right princess?"

I faced her seeing her nod in agreement. She then climbed up the bed and spoke,

"Daddy leave mummy alone,"

He shook his head in protest,

"I can't do that princess,"

She hmphed, crossed her arms over her chest and said,

"Then you leave me no choice daddy,"

Noah and I looked at each other for a second thinking of what she meant by her words but three seconds later we're both groaning as she flung her body. She clearly tried to use her body to separate us. It didn't help because Xavier joined in,

"Daddy!"

Somehow Aria squeezed in-between us, she used all he energy to pry us apart as weird noises left her lips from the attempt. Noah watched the little one as he then nodded which was clear for Xavier as he then joined in on the scene.

After a few more pushes from Aria he finally let go off me, allowing a small distance to grow. Aria then moved to so that she was laying on the bed with her back pressed against my front. She held onto my hand and guided it so that I was hugging her.

I couldn't help but smile seeing her needy side that I hadn't seen as much. Xavier got comfortable too, falling into Noah's embrace. I loved the scene in front of me, seeing both boys in sight.

It was something that I wanted for a very long time when the twins were born and now that I was with Noah again I was more than grateful to have these moments with him as days, weeks and months pass.

The room fell into a peaceful silence when suddenly someone's stomach growled. Since I was already looking at Noah my eyes widened. I looked down at Aria who giggled innocently with a hand over her lips,

"Whoopies,"

Noah and I looked at each other before we ended up laughing. We composed ourselves as he spoke,

"You must be super hungry princess!"

"I am daddy,"

She responded,

"Well then, let's go and make breakfast before your stomach becomes angry at us for not feeding you food!"

I said with a little shock laced in my words. I unwrapped my arm around her small frame and moved the duvet, leaving the warmth of the bed. I walked a few steps before speaking out of the blue,

"First we need a quick trip to the toilet cause I can't hold this pee in any longer,"

"Me too mummy!"

Aria said right after. I looked over my shoulder to see the boys talk about something. Aria jumped off the bed and rushed to my side,

"Are you not going toilet baby?"

She took the lead and continued walking to bathroom that we had in the room. She held onto the handle and commented,

"I'm going with you mummy. A queen never goes toilet by herself,"

I tilted my head to the side in question, unsure of where she got the sudden confidence in her words. Not only that but she had become much better too. Her speech was beyond what I expected. Was she really my cheeky monkey who was once shy and reserved?

Not wanting to dwell on the matter for now since I was feeling hungry myself I flashed her a smile that hid the small pain that came with motherhood,

"Baby you remind me all the time why I can't do something alone even if its going to the toilet but its okay cause we love the tight bond we have,"

She shrugged her shoulders, her innocent mind not at that level to understand me. I sighed deeply and spun my upper-half once last time to see the boys now taking pictures on my phone. I faced Aria again and finally spoke feeling my bladder about to burst,

"Let's go baby, lets pee together!"

Noah's family had finally come round for lunch, my family joining not long after. They all had brought in different gifts that were part of for attending  lunch and some for the twins that they happily took.

Since the house was full of people and the kitchen could not accept everyone in one go we decided to have lunch in the living room since it was more spacious as well as it felt a little more like a bonding moment.

Everyone had their plate of food that consisted of lasagne, mash, gravy and steamed veg. I looked around the room seeing the ladies talk amongst each other whereas the men all watched the basketball game that was on.

I was sat on the floor in front of the tea-table helping the twins finish off their food when Rosalie asked,

"So Lily have you done anything or thought about what you want for the wedding?"

I took Aria's fork and placed more food on, handing back the utensil to her. I shook my head at her question,

"I haven't had the chance to really since I had the event to focus on,"

I looked up seeing her nod,

"Have you thought of anything you would like darling?"

Mum asked. I pondered on the thought and shrugged,

"All I know is that I don't want a big one. I'd rather have a small and intimate one that includes close family and friends,"

"Have you decided when you want to get married?"

I chuckled and shrugged,

"I guess that's something I gotta talk about with Noah but all I know is that it's gonna be soon since he keeps calling me Mrs King,"

I looked his way to see him look at me with a goofy smile plastered on his face. He loses the smile on his face and questions,

"You've had lunch right babe?"

"I'll eat later. I'm not feeling hungry right now,"

"Sweetheart its nearly four. You need something in your system,"

Zoe said all mother-like. I flashed her a tired smile and responded,

"I'll eat soon,"

She nodded as she had a look of concern on her face. She then spoke trying to use her words correctly,

"Have you been eating properly sweetheart?"

I rubbed the back of my neck in nervousness. I knew that from her words I had everyone's attention on me. I had no other option but to speak the truth,

"Not for the past couple of days no but I feel like its cause of the event. It was the only thing on mind when I was at work. It was like every paperwork I had was related to it. Every meeting I had was around it, it was honestly never-ending,"

"It's over now so make sure you eat. You've got two kids on your plate as well. It's not easy and as harsh as my words are it won't be,"

Rosalie spoke,

"I know,"

I said with a heavy heart. Truth was I knew exactly what she meant. Balancing work, the twins and myself is hard. I have this unknown guilt on my shoulders for not being able to balance it properly,

"And you Noah, you should be helping her. You should be asking her whenever you can if she needs help with anything, whether its about work, the twins or herself. Being a mother does have its downfalls and can affect ones mental health that even she may not know"

I looked from the corner of my eye seeing him get serious too,

"I know gran. I'll do everything I can to ease the burden. Don't worry,"

"If you don't just know that I'll come by personally and beat you myself till your black and blue,"

"Mummy I'm finished!"

Aria spoke happily. I flashed her a smile,

"Well done baby, drink your juice and you can play with Xavy and Wendy,"

Aria picked up her cup of juice and finished it in one go, placing the cup down once she was done. She got to her feet, pecked my cheek and ran out of the living room most probably going to Xavier's room since that's where he was with Wendy. I breathed out deeply and spoke,

"I'll be right back, let me wash these,"

The ladies nodded as they began to finish off their food. I got to my feet and left the room, walking into the kitchen quietly. I walked over to the sink and began washing the plates, my mind blank with nothing.

Just when I had finished washing and drying my hands I felt someone place a hand on my shoulder. I gasped, looking over my shoulder to see Rosalie stood behind me. I laughed nervously,

"Oh my gosh! Rosalie! You scared me!"

She flashed me a welcoming smile and spoke softly,

"Sorry about that, I didn't mean too,"

I waved it off,

"Is there something you wanted? Seconds? A drink cause I can get o-"

I stopped since Rosalie reached down and held onto my hand. She exhaled deeply and spoke,

"No, I'm not here for any of that. I'm here for you,"

At her words my heart thumped not knowing what to expect. I blinked a few times and asked nervously,

"What's wrong? Did I do something wrong? Was the food not nice?"

"Gosh Lily, stop overthinking!"

She said with a chuckle leaving her lips. Instead of saying anything she let go of my hand and spoke,

"Don't take it the wrong way but I've been keeping an eye on you since I saw Friday morning, you remember what we talked about?"

I nodded like a child being told instructions. Her shoulders relaxed and she then asked,

"And?"

I rubbed the back of my neck,

"I didn't get a chance. I've been busy around the house and with the twins,"

She sighed dramatically,

"You can't overwork yourself Lily, you're gonna get up hurting yourself or getting ill. I doubt Noah wants that nor do the twins. It'll break their hearts if something was to happen,"

I nodded not having the energy to come up with an excuse. She rubbed my arm soothingly,

"I tell you what, I don't want you to be pressured or feel like your being forced but do have a go whenever you're ready. You've got it right?"

I nodded knowing what she was talking about. She smiled once more,

"Okay I won't annoy you anymore, I better leave before your fiancé has the thought of me interrogating you,"

I chuckled it off watching her as she left.  Once she had left the kitchen I stood in place and just thought for a minute or two. I then came to a conclusion and decided to do what she had offered.

I left the kitchen and headed for the living room. I scanned around the room seeing that everyone was either half or nearly finished with either lunch. Rosalie was sat with the ladies talking like nothing suspicious happened. I bit my lip nervously before speaking,

"I'm gonna check on the kids,"

Noah looked my way and gave me a look. He got up from his seat and made ways. Just as he passed the tea-table I caught Rosalie watch him walk up to me,

"I'm done eating, do you want me to check up on them?"

He asked when he came to a stop in front of me. I tucked some hair behind my ear and shook my head,

"It's okay babe I've got it. I need to go up anyways. I want to share some of the baby pics of the twins,"

He nodded with a pout on his lips like he was unsure of the situation. He doesn't press on the matter for long as he then leaned forward and pecked my cheek. He then intertwined his hand with mine as we both left the room.

Once we had left the room he then came to a stop at the base of the stairs. I hummed when he didn't walk. He faced me,

"Did I tell you how beautiful you look today?"

I couldn't hold back the smile that instantly made its way on my face. I poked the inside of my mouth and only said,

"About a thousand times already babe,"

He chuckled it off, dropping his head down. When he lifted his head back up he spoke,

"I guess we part here for about five minutes,"

I took a step forward and tip-toed, pecking his lips. He eyed my lips and spoke in a deep low voice,

"Don't take long babe,"

3RD P.O.V

Half and hour had passed since Lily went to check up on the twins. During that time everyone who were downstairs had now finished eating, Noah taking the dishes to the kitchen. The kids upstairs were having a blast as they laughed about a time that Xavier had recalled.

Lily on the other hand was in turmoil. Her once happy mood changed in an instant. She stormed out her room and went down the stairs screaming,

"NOAH KING GET YOUR ARSE HERE RIGHT NOW WHERE I CAN SEE YOU!"

Everyone who was present in the living room became quiet, their eyes widening at the tone of her voice. No-one had heard her this loud. Since the house was quiet and there was no response she screamed again, this time making sure it was loud so that it caught everyone's attention.

Even the kids.

"NOAH! I WON'T REPEAT MYSELF!"

She finally made it to the bottom of the stairs. Her parent, Noah's parents, Joshua, Mia, Leo, Rosalie and Marcus all rushed out with a startled look plastered on their faces. She skimmed them all to see if Noah was with them, he wasn't. She called out his name for the final time,

"NOAH! THIS IS MY LAST TIME CALLING YOU!"

"Baby what's wrong?"

Her mum spoke with worry. She ignored her and waited for Noah to come out from wherever he was. He didn't. She then parted her lips to scream again but he then came out of the kitchen with a glass of wine. She rolled her eyes and scoffed at the sight of him,

"Are you serious right now?!"

She questioned with anger. Noah being unaware by what she meant continued to sip on his wine. She lashed out, not being able to control her emotions at this point,

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!"

"What did I do babe?"

He asked. Lily hated the fact he was calm. She placed a hand on her waist and scoffed, looking to the side to catch a glimpse of everyone. They were clearly in the middle of their random fight. Lily knew that now that she had everyone's attention, they weren't leaving anytime soon.

Multiple thoughts raided Lily's mind, leaving her frustrated to the core. She didn't know what to say nor did she have the chance to grab onto one and focus on it. She felt all over the place and her bubble was closing in, leaving her a little breathless. In the end she was able to say,

"Get out of my house!"

She said whilst pointing at the door. Noah raised his eyebrow and commented,

"Babe, this is my house,"

Since she didn't get what she wanted she gritted my teeth and said,

"Fine. You can take this back,"

She spoke in a cracked voice whilst she hastily combed a hand through her hair. Once she was done she then proceeded to take her engagement ring off. Almost instantly Noah's carefree look was now wiped off.

He extended his arm out, trying to put the wine down but he didn't think it through. He let go of the glass and instead of it resting on the cabinet it fell on the floor, the red content spilling all over the creme carpet. Upon the incident Lily's eyes widened at the now stained carpet,

"MY CARPET!"

"Lily,"

He chuckled nervously with his eyes on the ring that she held loosely,

"Why... why are you taking off your ring?
