1 week later

Since, my date with Chloe, Mom has been on my back about marrying her. She said. "I want to have some more Grand-babies in the future. If you don't pull your finger out of your butt you will lose her."

The thing about Chloe is that I know I won't lose her. The day I could lose her is the day that Aleysa dies and that's the one thing I don't want to think about. She's like a little sister to me.

Aleysa walks into the kitchen and she looks at me. "Morning, Jai." She climbs onto the stool. "What are we doing today?I've had enough staying in the house."

A smile spreads across my face. "I was hoping you would say that." I lean close to her and whisper. "Do you want to help me choose a ring for your sister?"

She nods. "Can we go shopping too? I want to buy some clothes when we leave for Paris tomorrow."

"Sure," I step away from Aleysa as Chloe and Nate walk into the kitchen.

Chloe looks between Aleysa and I. "What are you two upto?"

Aleysa looks at the table.

Smart girl.

I quickly change the subject and Chloe forgets about what's going on just like I planned.

Nate looks at Chloe. "I need to get some joggers for our holiday."

Chloe nods. "I have to go to the mall myself. You can come with me. You can go to your shops and we can meet at the food court at lunch."

"Great," he walks into the kitchen and he makes himself a bowl of cereal.

Chloe looks at Aleysa. "Do you want to come shopping with me?"

She shakes her head. "I'm spending the day with, Jai."

Chloe looks at me. "Look after my little sister. If you don't I will kill you."

I pull her into a hug. "I will protect her." I kiss her.

"Gross! I'm trying to have breakfast here and it looks like the two of you are about to rip each other clothes off."

Chloe steps back and her face turns red. "Shut up, Nate. Your just jealous." She sticks her tongue out at her brother.

He snorts. "I'm not jealous. I just don't parade my hook-ups around the house."

She takes a step toward her brother. "I hope your kidding, Nate Anthony Knight."

Someone's in trouble.

Aleysa climbs off the stool and she grabs my arm pulling me out of the kitchen. When we making it into the living Aleysa let's me go. "You don't want to be in there when she's pissed. Mom was the same it's not pretty when they're pissed."

This is the first time I've seen Chloe upset over something her brother said.

A couple minutes later, Chloe walks out of the house.

I am about to follow her when Aleysa grabs my hand. "That's not a good idea. Let her cool off before you talk to her. Dad used to follow her and he had is arse chewed out."

I'm glad that Aleysa's here to help me out when it comes to her sister.

Nate walks into the living room and he looks at Aleysa and I. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that stuff."

"That's alright," I put my hand on his shoulder. "Your sister is right though. You shouldn't say stuff like that about females. I know you were joking, but it didn't seem that way to your sister. You should apologise to her when she's cooled down."

"I will." He walks away.

I look at Aleysa. "I think it's best we get breakfast out."

"Yes," she picks up her handbag and puts it over her shoulder. She opens the front door and we walk out of the house.

I send chloe a message.

Aleysa climbs into the front seat and she puts her seatbelt on. She looks at me. "Let's go."

I start the car and pull out of the driveway. I look in the rear view mirror and I see Chloe waving at us from the porch.

Aleysa waves back at her. She turns back in her seat and turns the radio up. She sings along to a song on the radio and I join her. She laughs. "You can't sing." She shake her head. "You should stick to your day job."

I pull the car into the parking lot of the mall. I drive around until I find a spot. I park the car.

Aleysa and I step out of the car and we walk towards the entrance of the mall. "We should go to the jewellery stores first. You don't want Chloe to catch us here do you?"

I shake my head. "Good, lets go." We head in the direction of the shops. I stop at one store and look in the window, but I don't see a ring that I want to give, Chloe.

After six store Aleysa finds a ring that she knows her sister would love she points to it. "That's the one."

I point to the ring. "I will take that one." I tell the store person.

The girl rings it up and I pay for the ring.

I put the small box in my pocket and we walk around until we come to a shop that Aleysa wants to go.

We walk in and I see Chloe looking through the racks of clothes.

Aleysa isn't watching where she's going and she crashes into her sister.

Chloe looks at her. "What are you doing here?"

I walk over to them. "Aleysa wanted to get some clothes. So, I brought her here after breakfast."

Chloe smiles. "That's great. Now, I get to shop with my sister." She kisses my cheek. "Look for my brother. I'm sure you will find him better company than Aleysa and I."

I look at Aleysa. "Are you okay if I look for your brother?"

Aleysa shakes her head. "Have fun with, Nate." She hugs me. "Bye, Jai. Thank you for taking me out for breakfast."

Chloe looks at me. "You owe me breakfast Mr Marshall."

I smile. "I owe you that for the rest of my life." I kiss her cheek before walking out of the store.

Nate walks out of one of the shoe stores close to the girls.

"Nate," I yell.

He turns around, looking for the person that yelled his name.

I walk toward him.

"Hey," he looks around. "I thought you were with Aleysa?"

"I was. She's with Chloe now. The girls are going to take forever in the stores."

He laughs. "I know. I just hope Chloe can pull herself away from shopping for lunch." His face turns serious. "She forgets to eat when it comes to shopping. I remember this one day she spent the entire day at the mall with her friends and when she got home she collapsed. It scared everyone. Mom called an ambulance and they took her to the hospital. The doctor told Mom that she was severely dehydrated from the fluids she didn't have in her system."

I pull my phone out and look at the time. "I will send her a message at twelve to meet us at the food court."

"Thanks, Jai."
