LET'S JUMP IN. (Play song now. Anywhere by Rita Ora)

"We're finally going on that trip you promised ages ago." Lara said, dressed in a black short sleeved crop top that accentuated her endowed chest, and a pair of dark blue fitting jeans with white sneakers as she turned to Jayden, who was in the driver's seat of his red and black Ferrari 488 GTB in a black shirt and a pair of light brown pants with white sneakers. He had been driving for the past thirty eight minutes as he neared his first destination with Lara.

"You know how my mother has been these past three weeks. Today's our lucky day." He said.

"Today also happens to be the last day of our thirty day rule." Lara glanced at him, a mischievous smile etching on her lips as he took his eyes off the road to glance back at her, an amused smile setting on his lips.

A whole month of restraint, abstinence and devoid of any sexual related activities. He hadn't thought it would be possible, to even get past two weeks without touching her, kissing her and letting the passion set it in.

But for some strange reason, he had gotten used to the emotional moments with her, the talks they had; getting to know each other on a deeper level, the jokes they had shared, confessions they had made and playful moments that had transpired between them.

He felt something deep for her. And as they spent more time together, his feelings for her had deepened on a level he hadn't known existed.

He felt something for her...

And he knew she felt the same thing for him, or even more intense.

He knew he was nearing that special feeling. And that it was just a matter of time.

Lara interrupted his thoughts, "So, Dana, Emma, Katy and Brie are the only ones who know about us, and this tri-"

"You look so beautiful." He cut in.

The suddenness of his compliment caught her off guard, heat now growing on her cheeks as they began to slightly burn with an attractive rosiness, as she stared at Jayden who had to retrieve his gaze to focus on the road.

"Uh, thanks." She giggled and shook her head. He loved doing that. Interrupting her speech with a compliment or a hand squeeze. This idiot thought he could send her heart racing in a milli second.

This idiot was right.

He then asked, "And Ella? You didn't mention her."

"She doesn't know. She's...." Lara paused, scratching her hair with her manicured index finger, "We can't really trust her."

What Ella knew was the same thing Mrs. Benson knew; Lara had gone to her mother's house the previous day, and would return in two days, and Jayden had just left to see a friend.

"And what does Emma have to say about that?" Jayden inquired as he sedately made a left turn.

"She's with us."

"Division."

"It's really hard, you know." Lara brushed her long hair back and directed her gaze to Jayden once more.

He had relaxed in his seat, eyes fixed on the road, broad shoulders calm, with his right hand on the lower curve of the metallic grey steering wheel and his left arched on the window sill.

His good looks were overwhelmingly magnetic, even as she stared at him from the side; his untamed dark tresses had literally been calling for her fingers, to be twisted and pulled, and his dull pink lips ever so ready to be melded with.

By tonight, their one month restraint would be over. What would stop them from getting it on to the max?

From Jayden's stories about his time in college, it seemed as though girls had only stuck around for the sex, and the money. Nothing more.

His good looks would attract them, and his sex would hold them down. The girls would talk about it in their circles, and within a blink of an eye, their friends would start throwing themselves at him. Emotional connections had never been on their lists.

The one and only girl he had been serious about, during his third year of college had cheated on him with her ex boyfriend she hadn't apparently emotionally gotten over.

She had apologized to Jayden and had tried to fix their relationship, but Jayden had withdrawn himself from her life. It had become too obvious that she had only been with him for the sex, and not the emotional connection he had offered, just like he had offered Lara.

The girl had had her heart and emotions in the hands of her ex. And in addition to that, something about cheats always seemed to put Jayden off. The fact that they would have the audacity and relentlessness to betray the uncommon trust of their partner or spouse ticked him off.

Lara had been so caught up with her thoughts that she hadn't noticed when Jayden had parked in the parking lot of a department store.

He unbuckled his seatbelt, "I'm just gonna get some stuff. You coming?" He turned to her.

Lara asked, "Will you take long?"

"I won't take longer than fifteen minutes."

"Okay, then I'll just wait for you here." Lara shrugged with a smile.

Jayden chuckled. "First day out and she doesn't want to be seen with her boyfriend."

Lara laughed. "No, it's not like that. I'll just wait for you."

Jayden grinned lopsidedly and said, "Alright."

He left Lara in the car right after locking the doors, and walked towards the entrance of the store.

Worry traced Lara's face as she began to wonder how Jayden would react to his father's infidelity. And also to the fact that she had known about it the whole time.

He would feel betrayed, and feel as though he couldn't trust her not to keep things from him when he deserved to know.

After a lot of pondering, Lara made up her mind. She would tell Jayden about his father's infidelity. They both had promised to be completely honest with each other, no matter what.

Tonight, she would be honest with him and tell him about what she had seen that fateful morning when she had been searching for Brie.

Jolting her from her thoughts were the rapid knocks on her window. She immediately turned, to find an all too familiar face that gestured her to roll down her glass.

Lara slowly rolled down her glass, surprise replacing her initial worried look as the man's hazel eyes came into a clearer view.

"I fucking knew it was you." He let out in his usually loud voice, his dark brown eyebrows lifting in shock.

"Drew." Lara's eyes widened, completely stunned to see her ex boyfriend's face after almost a year of ignoring and avoiding him.

"The fuck..." He said under his breath as he stared at the car she was sitting in, "You got a sugar daddy now?"

"How've you been?" Lara ignored his question.

"Get out of the damn car and let's talk."

"We have nothing to talk about."

"You bet we do." He reached in, unlocked her door and immediately opened it for her to get out.

Lara rubbed her temple, sighed then stepped out of the car, closing the door behind her. "What?" She folded her arms beneath her bosom.

He slowly took in her alluring appearance and commented, "You're all glowed up. Who are you with now? And why haven't I been able to reach you since-"

"Since I broke up with you? Exactly. We have no business with each other, that's why I cut you off."

"Now you're with some rich boy," He eyed the car once more. "How did you land him? Are you giving him pussy? Giving him pussy you denied me?"

"You will never change," Lara shook her head and turned to enter the car, when she laid eyes on Jayden who had been walking towards the car, holding three white rubber bags in one hand.

He hadn't even taken longer than ten minutes.

His dark blue eyes were piercing, even from the distance and Lara could read the questioning look on his face from the way his dark eyebrows had pushed together, his eyes had focused on them like a magnifier and his dull pink lips had tightened.

"Is that him?" Drew inquired, from the way Lara had frozen at the sight of the young, tall and handsome man who had apparently been approaching the car. His car.

Lara turned to Drew and instructed, "Leave. Before he gets here."

"Why?" Drew harshly bit back, "You don't want your man meeting the man who touched you first?"

But before Lara could even respond to his unnecessary bluntness, Jayden was already a few feet away from them and he scowled at the sight of the guy taking advantage of Lara's turn to rake his eyes over her butt.

Jayden was about to walk right up to the guy he was three inches taller than but Lara blocked his way with her palms on his chest as she slowly backed him away by two steps, with her eyes up on his but his piercing blue ones on the raunchy looking man.

"Who's he?" Jayden grimly asked, eyes still on the man.

"Let's go." Lara urged, trying to move Jayden but he stood as rigid as Kim Kardashian's buttocks, as she went on, "Let's go. He's no one important."

Jayden's gaze travelled to hers. "Do you know him?"

"I was the-" Drew began to say but Lara cut him off before he could say anything stupid,

"My ex, Drew."

"Drew?" Jayden asked, the memory of Lara's talks about her two exes suddenly occupying his mind.

Drew spoke, "I see Larry has spoken a lot about me."

Lara cringed at the name he used to call her, but returned to backing Jayden away, when Drew added,

"I hope you didn't fail to include the nights I did you real good, if you know what I mean." He licked his lips.

Rage and disgust drove Jayden to immediately seize the man by the front of his shirt as he warned, "You're gonna have to respect my girlfriend, or you're a dead man."

"Yo, chill dude. It don't gotta be like this. We could start over." He patted Jayden's shoulder with an enthusiastic grin, "Be homies."

Lara couldn't believe that he was still the same opportunistic gold digger she knew from before she had started working at the Benson's. His love for money surpassed any kind of love he ever had and it had been one of the many reasons she had ended their four month relationship.

Jayden let go of the man, ignoring his silly offer as he turned to his car and opened the door for Lara. Lara glanced at Drew once more before ducking into the car, while Jayden closed it right after.

He then walked across to the driver's seat, glancing back at Drew whose desperate facial expression had morphed into jealousy and envy as he watched Jayden fasten Lara's seat belt, before fastening his, and reversing the car from the parking lot space.

Jayden was just about to proceed to his left which would take them out of the parking lot, when the man yelled,

"You think you're all that with the pretty boy look and expensive car. She's with you for the money, you idiot. And besides, I was tapping that ass before you did. She was my bitch!"

The minute the man landed, Jayden immediately halted the car, unbuckled his seat belt and deserted the car despite Lara's warnings, "Don't. Don't, Jayden. You're not that kind of person! He just wants attention. Jayden, don't!"

Jayden swiftly approached Drew and within a blink of an eye, knocked him out senseless with a severe punch.

Drew managed to get to his feet albeit the struggle, and tried to grab Jayden by the shirt, but Jayden immediately grasped his neck and held him down to the closest car, catching the attention of two security officers who hurriedly made their way to the scene with one pulling Jayden off of Drew, and the other making sure that Drew did not return the blow.

The distance made it almost impossible for Lara to hear what they had been saying, but she noticed how Jayden tore his muscled arms from the grip of the security officer, fallen strands of his dark hair covering one eye from the sudden jerk. He pushed back the locks with his fingers and directed his sharp gaze to the security officer who had still been holding Drew, as he spoke.

Jayden remained still as he listened to the officer speak. Then he lifted his palms in agreement while backing away, before returning to his car with a scowl on.

He got in, the car slightly plummeting, as Lara fixed her eyes on him. She opened her mouth to say something as he began to drive away, but kept it in as she thought, 'First day out and boyfriend meets ex boyfriend. First day out and boyfriend almost gets into a fight. First day out and girlfriend gets called a gold digger. How bad could this first day get?'

After several minutes of driving in silence, their car came to a halt at the sign of the stop light and Jayden dropped his hand from the wheel.

Lara glanced out, anxiety beginning to claw at her nape while tears threatened to assail her big brown eyes as she wondered why Jayden had been silent for so long. The silence was killing her. Had he been considering what Drew had said about her? Was he mad?

This was also not the time for him to remember what she had told him about her ex, Drew. The things they had done.

This was not the time.

Their very first day out, ruined in a flash. Why was he silent?

Lara's heart nearly skipped a beat when she began to feel Jayden's long, smooth fingers joining with hers which had been flat on her seat. His palm enveloped the back of her hand, while his fingers united with her feminine ones, the simple gesture transmitting indescribable warmth that crawled beneath the layers of her soft skin, reinvigorating every docile cell as it reinstated assurance and contentment.

"Lara." His deep, silky voice never failing to initiate the upturn of the insides of her stomach as it caressed every single letter of her name.

She feverishly blinked back the tears in her eyes, the time it took to do so making it seem like she wasn't going to turn.

He murmured, "Drew has no idea what he lost." Then he lightly squeezed her hand.

Even though Lara still hadn't turned, he could tell a smile had begun to appear on her face from the way her left cheek was raising, and it made him smile too.

The green light appeared and the two cars before Jayden's had begun to move.
Jayden drove on, separating his hand from Lara's only to press a button. He returned it to hers right after, and picked up on that routine, as they drove to begin the day he had planned for her.

Mr. Benson anxiously waited for his call to be picked up. The minute the person had answered his call, he spoke, "Stop disconnecting the line and listen to me. Listen carefully." He lowered his voice, "I have ended it with her. I swear to you."

He paused for a while, before speaking again, "I was showering. I had no idea. I didn't send for her."

After another pause, he said, "Yes. Yes. For three weeks now. I swear it."

After a long pause, he voiced out, "Noted." Then he discreetly evacuated the laundry room, and as he walked down the broad hallway, he spotted Brie walking towards his direction, obviously headed for his and Mrs. Benson's room as she was holding a tray filled with breakfast for his wife.

"Good morning, Mr. Benson." Brie casually greeted when she passed by him.

Her smiles and jolly demeanor ever since the day he had permanently ended it with her were highly unusual.

Brie gently knocked on Mrs. Benson's door, and after stating her purpose and receiving permission to enter, she calmly approached Mrs. Benson who was still in bed and had her eyes stuck on her phone as she scrolled through some messages with her thumb.

Brie carefully placed the tray on the bedside table.

"That'll be all." Mrs. Benson shooed her away.

Brie nodded, "Yes, Madam." But the minute Mrs. Benson had specifically picked up the orange juice and made a sip, a victorious smirk had slowly found its way to Brie's lips.
