HEY EVERYONE. 6K? I started this in December, How did That happen? I'm pretty sure it's people who noticed comments in their newsfeed on smut paragraphs in this book and were like, "Broooo, Smut alert! Smut alert! We need to check out this smut!"

If so, thank you Brie, Mr. Benson, Lara and Jayden. Your loyalty knows no bounds.

ROFL😂 JK! Thank you all for being here up until now. I owe this to you. Can the rest of the world be as nice as you are? :'(

Jayden got to his feet immediately, "No way. No freaking way. You're out of your mind."

"Jayden," Kira held his hand, "Sit down, please."

"You've got to be kidding. There's no way you'd suggest that."

Kira tugged at his wrist, "Jayden, please. Sit down and listen to me."

Jayden reluctantly sat on the bed, and she came closer in her seat in front of him, holding his hands,

"You need to visit Florence in jail-"

"Kira, I can't. You know that."

"You can, and you will." She squeezed his hands.

He looked distressed, as if he had just been asked to jump off the Eiffel Tower.

"I reached out to you for help. Not to make things worse."

"I'm not making it worse," She let him know. "You need closure. It's for closure."

"Kira, please. I can't meet that woman. After everything she did to me."

Kira held his gaze whilst holding his hands. The sad look in his eyes made her feel sorry and sad as well, but she knew meeting Florence was the only way for him to move past the incident, completely.

She looked down at their laced fingers, "I know it's tough, but this is the one thing you've avoided for years. From therapist to therapist, anytime this came up, you bailed."

"Doctor Anna said I didn't have to." He defended, "She was my last therapist. After her, I felt completely fine."

"Do you feel fine now?" She lifted her head to meet his captivating deep blue eyes.

Silence. He just held her gaze.

He parted his lips to speak, but closed them right after because he had nothing to say.

"You don't," she answered for him, "Else I wouldn't be here. I promise you, after seeing Florence, everything will be fine. Those memories Lara triggered will not be a problem in your life anymore. You just need to get closure. It's our only option."

Jayden sighed. He hated the idea of having to meet with that woman again after several years.

"But what am I going to say to her? Hey, Florence, how you doing? How's life been since you don't have any kids to screw in jail?"

"That is why we'll be gone for two weeks, so I can prep you up. Give you all the guidelines. Trust me, you'll be fine." Kira informed and patted his shoulder, before getting up from her seat.

"I wanna sleep by ten so-" She checked the time on her analogue rose gold wristwatch, "We have half an hour to talk about Lara and why you crossed boundaries with her."

"Lemme go make sure one of the guest rooms is set up," he said, about to rise from the bed, but she stopped him,

"It's okay. I can sleep here." She shrugged.

"Are you sure?" He was looking up at her, "You're comfortable with that?"

"Of course."

Jayden smiled, and the sight was absolutely beautiful. She was happy to see him smile.

Jayden rose to his feet and walked to one side of his closet and pulled out extra blankets and two pillows.

He returned to the side of the bed and began spreading the sheets on the floor after pushing the sofa away, when Kira asked,

"What's that for?"

"The bed is yours, lady Kira." He dropped the two pillows on the sheets and made himself comfortable on it.

"But this bed is big enough to fit three whales," she protested with her hands on her hips.

"You're hilarious." He chuckled.

He had missed her.

When she had left, it had felt as if there was a hole in his heart. She was basically the only person who understood him thoroughly, and never judged. She made him feel... worthy.

"Thanks." She smiled and laid on her tummy close to the edge of the bed so that she was directly facing Jayden, who lay beside the bed on the floor.

He had an arm behind his head and the other on his tummy, whilst holding her gaze and his lips slowly curved into a grin.

"Twenty-nine minutes to tell me the Lara story," she reminded and stretched out her hand to poke his cheek.

He tried to playfully bite her finger, but she withdrew her hand just in time with a laugh. "Silly."

"My middle name." He grinned and began, "So, they threw me a welcome party the day I came home after graduating. My mother told me I had a new personal maid and that her name was Lara."

"Mhm?" Kira paid attention. "How did the news make you feel?"

"Um, unhappy? I really thought my mother was done with this whole personal maid shit. I told her I was going to move out so the maid wasn't necessary, but she begged me not to. At least, not yet. Something about a mother-son bonding after being apart for so long."

"She's trying to make up for lost time," Kira let him know her opinion, "She knows she has very little time with you. You're a man now."

Jayden discreetly took note of the fact that Kira saw him as a man now, and not the hormonal teenager he was around her. It felt good, for some reason.

He continued, "So the party was over, I had a long conversation with my parents, made sure my college friends were okay in their rooms because they were spending the night, and then I went back to my room. I started to unpack, but I decided to lie down for some minutes, then I fell asleep."

Kira gently rubbed the back of her fingers on his cheek, "Must have been worn out. Poor thing."

"Yeah, I really was. Hadn't slept for hours. I couldn't even sleep on the plane." He returned to the story,

"So, yeah. I remember waking up- I don't remember the time, but it was pretty late I guess- and I was thirsty. I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water, and then I saw her. She was looking out the window. I didn't know it was her, but I knew she had to be a maid. Visitors have jars of water in their rooms. My parents too."

"And you?" Kira asked, her fingers still caressing his cheek.

"I guess, but there wasn't any. So I approached her. Her hair was so dark and beautiful, couldn't have been Brie's, or the twins', or Katy's. Could have been Dana's if she had had her dark curly hair straightened. But I doubted."

Kira kept her eyes on him.

"I got closer. I wanted to see her face, but from behind, she appeared frozen. Like she was lost in thought. I didn't know whether to tap her or say something, but at that second, she began to turn around, and she shuddered, nearly tripping on her feet. I quickly grabbed her arms so she wouldn't. And my God, was she beautiful."

"She's very beautiful." Kira admitted, and Jayden continued,

"I hadn't seen her before. Her eyes were mesmerizing, her scent drew me in, and her arms were so soft I forgot I was still holding them. I remember saying, 'You must be Lara'."

Kira analyzed his words, "You felt the attraction instantly."

"It was huge."

"What went through your mind?"

Jayden shifted his gaze to Kira. "I'm gonna be honest with you." He held her hand, which was on his cheek.

"You always are." She watched as he laced his fingers with hers.

The last time he wanted to do that when she was around, she didn't let him.

"I wanted to take her to bed."

"And you did?"

"No, I didn't."

"I thought you said you two have gotten 'close'?" She used her free hand to air-quote.

"Well, we have gotten close. We've done some things. A lot. And a few nights ago, we almost banged."

"What stopped it?" Kira inquired, and what he said next surprised her.

"She didn't want to."

Kira sat up and gaped at him, which alarmed him.

She spoke, "You stopped because she didn't want to?"

He rubbed his forehead, "Well, I asked, and she said no."

"And you listened." She nodded.

"First, she said yes, then I asked again, and she said no, not yet. Asked her which it was, and she said no, not yet."

"Why didn't you go along with it when she said yes the first time? Why did you ask again?" She genuinely wanted to know.

Jayden hesitated. "I just wanted to be sure she really wanted it."

She was proud of him.

Kira resumed her spot on the bed and smiled, "Tell me more."

The next morning, Lara had finished filling up a tray with Jayden's breakfast; Pancakes with maple syrup, croissants, and cranberry juice.

She knocked on his room door and waited.

She was nervous and humiliated. She prayed she could face him after the whole truth was out. And she prayed he would forgive her, but she would understand if he didn't.

In a matter of seconds, the door flew open and standing before Lara in jersey shorts and an oversized white T-shirt was Kira.

(Thanks for all the love and the support! Lara and Jayden are about to meet for the first time after the whole misunderstanding.
Will that girl apologize to Jayden?
And will Jayden be closed off or receptive if she does?
