Maya's Pov:

"So are we going to stay here like this all day?" I asked as me and Ian continued to lay on the couch 

"Well girls love to stay with their boyfriends like so for hours, at least from what I have seen in movies..." Ian replied explaining as he looked down at me and I couldn't help but tease him

"You are into chickflick, I would have never guessed." I uttered teasingly

"I am not, I just went on plenty of first dates." Ian answered rapidly and I tensed

"Oh..!" I said then stayed silent and tried to wiggle my way out of his grip

"I didn't mean to upset you...!" Ian said in a rush 

"I know...It is just we are way too different." I honestly said as he allowed me to escape his hands and as I sat he did the same

"It never felt right to settle down. Yet when I held you for the first time, I got what it means to find your other half. You fit perfectly against me. It is like we were made for each other and no one can deny the chemistry and electricity that is between us..." Ian said as he scooted closer to me 

"How many chick flicks did you watch again?" I teased him again even though my heart was beating loudly after hearing his words

"As much as I am going to kiss you now " Ian responded and in a swift move I was captured yet again by him 

"Go get a room" Ian's mum interrupted us in a teasing tone and I couldn't help but blush and hide my face in Ian's chest 

"Mother..." Ian grumbled clearly upset about his interrupted plans. 

"Ian, sit we need to talk." she seriously replied and caught both in surprise 

"Mum ? is everything okay?" Ian questioned as concern rose in him

"If you want I can leave?" I offered 

"No Maya stay. You are a part of this too." She replied as seriously as ever

"Mum?" Ian repeated again in a questioning tone as his hand sneaked its way around my waist

"Ian, I just want to make sure that you know what you are doing with Maya. The girl have been hurt enough and even though you are my son and I should take your side, this time I can't. If you are going to break her heart I will personally stop talking to you. Before Maya, I did really admire Rose. I treated her like a daughter. Even though what you had with her never settled rightly...And you know that it hurt me to know that she cried over you for years. I was ashamed of what you did to her and had to apologize instead of you..Yet now if you break Maya's heart know for sure that no one will be by your side." She finished her speech and shot Ian a warning glare but he didn't seem afraid not at all

"I don't need anyone to be by me other than Maya. And Mother I must apologize to you but my promises won't be directed at you. I cannot promise you not to break Maya's heart. I cannot promise you to treat her rightly. I cannot promise you anything..." Ian said as he shook his head in denial and that made me fear for the future of our relationship

"Ian" he mother said with a warning tone

"Why can't you promise her Ian?" I said in hurt defeated tone

"Because" Ian said as he looked directly at me " I need to promise you and not the world. Better than that I need you to trust me and to know for sure that I won't hurt you." Ian replied and his eyes twinkled with new sparks

"I trust you" I promised 

"fully?" he questioned as his smile grew 

"madly and fully" I promised again 

"And I love you madly and fully." He replied and started to lean down

"You must stop watching Chick flicks. You are as cheesy as they come." I teased as his lips nearly touched mine 

"Mother" Ian yelled as a kid as he straightened his back and drew away from the kiss making me huff in disagreement

"Yes?" She replied seemingly having fun by the scene playing in front of her 

"You need to fight for my rights too! she is bullying me because I watch Chick Flicks." Ian yelled and crossed his hand and his mum and I bursted in laughter 

"May, play nice with him. He is too sentimental." She warned me playfully and walked to the kitchen

"This is so unjust! You are ganging against me." Ian huffed and I continued to laugh but after some silent seconds I looked at him and found his eyes sat on me and the intensity of his gaze made me blush.

"What?" I shyly mumbled

"You are beautiful when you laugh." He announced 

"Yup my boyfriend  is a cheese ball" I replied, stuck my tongue at him and ran to help his mum in the kitchen leaving him to grumble and making promises about payback.

Tomorrow Morning 

"So what's going on? Why did you invite us to your mother's house?" Rose questioned Ian as she and Jacob ( who are still working on their problems but at least civilly talking to each other and living under the same roof ) came to have breakfast with Ian and I

"I want to tell you something but first let's eat." Ian promised 

"Are okay Ian ? Did you get your memory back?" Rose question in the middle of our meal and owned her self a grumble from her husband

"Yeah Ian are you okay?" Jacob repeated with all the sarcasm that he can master 

"You two need to relax." Ian announced then reached for my hand and I saw the eyes of Jacob and Rose doubling in size

"Ian? You remember?" Rose repeated again

"I do and I must tell you something. I don't want to ruin my chances again." Ian replied and smiled at me 

"You are together aren't you?" Jacob said as he seemed to gain his voice

"Yes, we are and I need you to know because Rose is the most important person to Maya." Ian announced and Rose in a second yelled a "yeyyyyyy" and came to hug me.

"Congrats May and sorry for what I did before. I swear I have no interest whatsoever in Ian. It just my hormones and I felt lonely when Jacob left me alone and ..." Rose tried to hold back her tears and I just shushed her, hugged her back and told her that it is okay now

"I swear those girls care about each other more than they care about us..." Jacob noted jokingly

"Now they will need a girls day to catch up and I won't be able to continue the plans for May and I's first date..." Ian grumbled but a smile never left his face

"You became her type. The perfect fit." Jacob announced and Ian brightly smiled at him

"I am trying because she is my perfect fit  " Ian agreed and winked at me making me blush
