Julie's pov:

Two hours.

One hundred and twenty minutes.

Seven thousand, and two hundred seconds I have been sitting on this couch doing nothing.

Being bored out of my mind is an understatement.

Alissa went to work, on a Saturday, my brother went to his friends house and Ashton is up in his room.

My parents aren't getting home until tonight, and to top it all off Gianna went to visit family so we can't hangout.

I would read one of my books but those are all in my room because no one decided to give me a warning.

Thanks mom and dad.

Also, my phone died a while back and I also didn't bring a phone charger. I would ask to borrow one but I'm pretty sure Ashton is upset with me right now.

He hasn't bothered to even walk downstairs.

Suddenly, I hear a knock at the door.

Well, a very LOUD knock on the door.

Wait should I answer it?

It's not my house maybe I shouldn't.

Plus Ashton is here.

But it keeps getting louder and he is not showing up to answer the door.

Wait, but what if it is a murderer?!

Do they come out at daylight?

Should I chance it?

Wait, why would they knock if they are planning to kill me?

Speaking of knocks, the person on the other side is definitely getting inpatient because the knocks are becoming louder and faster.

I slowly walk to the door and open it.

"Yo what's up Ash-...." the voice says but suddenly stops when they see me.

In front of me was not one, but the other four most popular guys in the school staring at me wide eyed.

I can feel my cheeks turn red.. I hope they didn't think...

I hear loud steps from behind me and next thing I know Ashton is coming down the stairs, his hair still all over the place. He looks at me, then the door.

I think he starts to realize what they are probably thinking and his eyes go wide. But of course, he doesn't even get to get a word in before they start going crazy.

"Congratulations!!! You are now a man brother!!!" The one screams.

It was so loud that I stumbled back a bit before regaining my balance.

"No, guys, it's not lik-...." Ashton can't even finish his sentence because the other guys are throwing things at him one after another.

"Nice Man"
"How was it"
"How did he get a girl in bed before us?"

They all started talking a once. Oh my god they actually think we slept together!

I look at Ashton begging him to at least say something.

"Guys shut the f*ck up." Ashton raises his voice and glares at them.

They all stop at once.

I guess that works too.

"We didn't sleep together" He says pointing at me.

"Then explain this." The one who had first opened the door smirks at Ashton.

They all then naturally walk in the house and spread out on the couches. Throwing their shoes somewhere around the room.

"She just stayed the night because her parents are working." He says shrugging.

The most awkward thing about this is I don't know if Ashton hates me from what I said earlier.

I mean, he is not sending me glares, I'm pretty sure that is a good thing.

"So you're saying that a girl slept over but nothing happened?" One of the guys asks.

Now that I think of it, that's the guy that Gianna said she liked. What was his name again?

"Yes Jake, we did not sleep together." Ashton says.

Oh yeah Jake! Like my brothers name. It isn't an uncommon name.

"So are you going to introduce us to your... friend." The one clears his throat.

Ashton rolls his eyes at him and then directs his attention to me.

"Zander is the one in the middle, then there is Jake with the shaggy hair, Luke is the one who disappeared in the kitchen, and the young one is Damien." He says pointing to all of them.

Zander and Jake nod their heads towards me while I can hear Luke yell 'hey' from the kitchen.

"I'm not young." Damien says in a matter of fact tone.

"Sure you aren't." Zander says and gives him a pat on his head. Damien just shakes his head and takes Zander's hand off of him.

Jake just laughs at them then points to me. "And you are?"

Crap, I guess this is my cue to say something.

"Julie.... Julie Wells." I stumble on my words.

"Oh the new girl!" Luke says and winks at me, but I just ignore the comment.

Definitely the player of the group.

"Oh rejected." Jake says and laughs.
"Shut up."
"Fight me!"
"Bring it on!"

The two boys start wrestling while Damien and Zander cheer them on.

I look over to see Ashton, just watching the fight. He catches me looking at him and smirks.

He is about to say something when I beat him to it.

"I... uh.. got to go." I say and turn around towards the stairs.

Sure, he has a bathroom upstairs, maybe I could just stay in there for the next couple hours of my life.

But before I can even make it to the second stair, I feel someone grab my wrist.

"And where do you think you're going princess?" Ashton's says, still with the same smirk on his face.

"Uh..upstairs?" Instead of saying this like a normal person, which I am not, it came out more like a question.

"Why don't you stay down here?" Ashton says.

Wait am I hearing correctly? Ashton is inviting me to stay with him?

"I mean.. I guess." I say and walk back into the living room.

"Jake wins!! Nice try Luke." Zander laughs as Jake is able to push Luke to the ground.

Ashton just shakes his head and sits down on the chair.

"So anything about the match?" Damien asks Ashton.

"It has been changed to this Friday." He says.

Match?

"You are going to kick his ass!!" Luke yells with cookie crumbs coming out of his mouth.

Although it was a disturbing sight to see, all I could think about was that Ashton had cookies in his kitchen and I was not aware.

I realize I am still standing so I cautiously make my way to the couch farthest from the boys and sit down.

Why?

Because I am socially awkward.

That's why.

"So how are you liking the new school?" I look over to see Damien who is sitting on the floor a couple feet away from me.

"I guess it's okay." I say truthfully. I mean, if it wasn't for all the annoying kids in the school it would probably be better.

"Yeah a lot of them are just really... strange.. what day did you come again?" He asks.

"Um.. I'm pretty sure it was the day after the big food fight I think." This caught the attention of all the guys and they look at me.

"Oh yeah, you missed that didn't you?" Ashton says grinning at me from the other side of the room.

"Yeah.. if you don't mind me asking, what happened?" I ask. All the boys grin at each other and slowly turn their heads towards me.

I suddenly regret asking that.

You know, for safety purposes.

Jake was the first to speak up, "Lets just say us and the football players don't get along that well." He says.

All the boys then start making up comments.

"Yeah total assholes"
"Idiots if you ask me."
"Fakers"
"Losers"
"Players if you ask me..get it?" That last one was Jakes comment. All the boys looks at him and say at the same time. "Shut up."

"Why do you guys hate them so much?" I don't know why but those words just slipped out before I could stop them.

"Curious aren't we princess?" Ashton smirks. But that is quickly turned upside down.

"Ohh princess?? Someone's got a crush!" Zander sings out. All the other boys laugh while Ashton's face looks super annoyed.

"Shut up asshole."

I try to hide my laugh while all the other boys start to make fun of him.

"Awe don't get mad Ashy poo we didn't mean to hurt your feelings." When Luke says this, all the boys, well except Ashton, burst into laughter.

"Please don't bring HER up." He says with full disgust in his voice.

As curious as I was, murderous Ashton is not safe to be around Ashton.

Safety first kids.

Damien looks at me, probably figuring out that I am completely lost in this conversation.

"Tessa"
"Huh?"
"Tessa is the 'her' we are taking about." He says clearing things up to me.

"You mean the cheerleader?"

"Yeah, but word of advice, stay away from her. She is known for manipulating people to do what she wants." Zander says.

"And she lives off of making other people's lives miserable." Luke rolls his eyes.

"You should know," Jake says, "You dated her."

"How many times do I have to say this, it was a mistake!!" Luke says a little loudly.

All the boys just shake their heads again.

"Well at least Julie isn't like any of those girls." Zander states and looks at me.

"Yeah, or else we would have to burn you." Jake says and looks at me with a serious face.

My eyes go wide at his comment.

"He's kidding." Ashton says looking at me.

"Maybe."
