Julie's pov:

"Julie"

"JULIE"

"JULIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Imagine getting waken up to that in the morning.

"What?" I say to Jake lazily putting the covers over my head.

He then rips them off and shouts in my ear, "It's Friday!!"

He runs out of the room probably to wake up my parents.

I think my ear is ringing but I can't tell because I think it's also deaf at the same time.

My dad then comes in my room and pulls the curtains away so it is brighter.

"It's too early" I whine turning around.

No use, it's too bright for my liking.

...

So this must be what it's like to be a vampire.

But if being a vampire means total darkness, count me in.

You know how much sleep I would be able to get?!

A lot I tell you!

"Wake up Julie, it's Friday." He says.

Hold on, searching brain for motivation... nope.

He sighs. "There's food."

"Where!!!" I yell jumping out of bed and running down the stairs.

"Works every time" He mutters under his breath trailing behind me.

When I enter the kitchen, my brother is already munching away on his scrambled eggs, I get mine and eat beside him.

After that, I do my morning routine and head to the bus stop.

Once again, the kid looks at me, then looks away.

Seriously, what's his deal?

I am a very kind person.

Hehe.

Heh......

After minutes of waiting for the bus to arrive, it finally pulls up.

I take my seat and about to put in my earplugs when I hear..

"Wait!!!" I look out the window to see a very stressed Ashton full out sprinting to the bus.

He jumps, literally jumps, onto the bus, winks at the bus driver, then heads to the back of the bus.

He is again admired by every student on the bus.

He sits down and everyone turns their heads to him, you know, after they admired his presence.

I feel like he is some test subject in those horror movies and the evil scientists are studying him while he is in this big glass thing with tubes coming out of him.

What?

Too specific?

He just pulls out his phone ignoring all the stares.

He is probably used to it anyways.

The bus driver just shakes her head and closes the door before driving off to the next stop.

~~~~~~
"So then my brother breaks up with her after he finds her in bed with another guy!!" Gianna exclaims telling me the gossip between her older brother and now I'm guessing his ex girlfriend.
We were in the middle of science class taking notes but the teacher has some 'important' phone call to make so now everyone is just talking to each other.
"Julie!! Hello!!!! Are you even listing to me?" She asks snapping her fingers in front of my face.
"Yeah, yeah!!" I say shaking my head and looking at her.
"What's up with you? You've been spacing out the whole class." She questions.
"Oh, I'm just tired, it's been a long first week." I say, copying down what the teacher writes on the board.
Gianna just shakes her head and writes down the rest of the assignment before the bell rings.
We walk together to lunch and sit at the table we always sit at by the window.
I look around and realize there are more staff here than usual, I wonder why.
"Hey, how come there are like twenty staff members in here?" I ask Gianna as she pulls out a small, flowered lunch bag.
"Oh right, you came on Wednesday, you missed it." She says casually taking out her sandwich.
"Missed what?!" I ask a little louder than I probably should have.
"On Tuesday, there was this crazy food fight! I don't know how it started though, all I know is one second I was eating my lunch, and the next there was food splattered all over the cafeteria." She says.
"That's crazy!!" If only I came a day earlier.
"Are there always fights at this school?" I mean, I have been here for what, two and a half days? That's more exciting than a years worth at my old school.
"Sometimes, this week was crazier than other weeks though." She says.
She then signals me to turn around and I do so.
"Look over there" she nods her head at the table with the cheerleaders and the football players.
"Those are your average football players, they haven't won a game in years." She says.
She then changes her look from the football players to the cheerleaders.
Which by the way, I feel like we are reenacting mean girls or something.
"The cheerleaders, more stuck up than usual, somehow got the coach to order them shorter skirts, I know, gross, but seriously they attracted another 25% of the male population to come to the football games." She says and shivers in disgust.
"Over there, we have the popular wannabes, everyone pretty much hates them. Musical theatre people over there, always, I mean always singing. We have artists, the emo's, the creepy people over there, geeks, smarter people, thankfully us, kid who pretty much skipped all the grades, athletes, just your basic high school." She says and shrugs.
She is about to turn around when I stop her, "What about them?" I ask and point to the group of boys Ashton was sitting with.
What?
I am generally curious.
...
Plus he has seen me roll across my bedroom floor, I need to know who I am dealing with here.
"That is the group for the bad boys, pretty much any girl in their right mind would fall for them." She says and stares at them dreamily.
Well, more directly at one of them.
After about thirty seconds I snap my fingers in front of her face like she did to me.
"Are you done making googly eyes at them yet?"
"Nope." She says and keeps staring.
Huh, no filter.
Luckily they are so caught up in conversation that they don't even notice.
I follow her eyes to the boy with brown hair.
"Who are you staring at?" I ask, finally getting her full attention.
"No one!!" She says and turns around quickly to eat her lunch.
I turn around also and grin at her.
"Tell me!!"
"No!"
"Please?"
"No!!!"
"Pretty please?!!"
"Okay!! Shhhh fine!"
She then lowers her voice, "Jake."
It was so quiet that I almost didn't catch it, "Jake?" I question just to make sure I heard it right.
She then covers my mouth with her hand, "Not so loud!" She hisses.
"Ohh, you really, really like him." I say and remove her hand over my mouth.
I would find it even cuter...
If he didn't share the same name as my little brother.
That thought... is just gross to think about.
"How long?"
"What?"
"How long have you liked him?"
She looks away blushing, "Two years."
"WH-" she again covers mouth, which this time, I didn't blame her.
"what" I whisper under her hand, she sighs.
"It was my freshman year, it was my first day and I was totally lost, it was 5 minutes after class started and I was freaking out, then out of nowhere we bumped right into each other knocking my books all over the place. He helped pick up my books and we talked for a little while. He told me where all my classes were and walked me to my first class." She says and looks down blushing.
I'm about to say something but she continues, "he was a sophomore that year, meaning he is one year older than us, but I'm sure he doesn't even remember me." She says looking down.
"I'm sorry I asked" I say giving her a hug.
"It's okay, there is nothing I can do about it anyways. He's probably not even into girls like me so why even bother." She says and stands up to leave the cafeteria. I quickly catch up to her and follow her to her locker.
"Don't say that, you know what, if he doesn't like the way you are he doesn't even deserve you. You're smart, funny, pretty, any guy should be blessed to be in your presence." I say to her.
She smiles and hugs me, "Thanks Julie, that really means a lot."
Hope you guys liked this chapter, this lets us know a little more about Gianna and her 'secret' crush.
