Julie's pov:

I watch as Ashton groans from beside me.

"Ashton stop being so loud." I nudge him as he lays his head back on the bus seat.

"I hate taking the bus." He mumbles out and crosses his arms like a toddler.

This morning, apparently Alissa's car broke down and now she is using Ashton's car until hers is fixed.

As you can tell, Ashton wasn't too, fond, of the idea.

So here we are, on the bus, him taking up over half the seat while I am squished to the window.

Yes, I went from a potato to mashed potatoes in a matter of seconds.

Ashton squirms around in the seat and I couldn't help but smile.

"Why are you smiling so creepy?" Ashton says looking at me.

"It's not creepy."

"You look like you are planning my funeral."

"Well maybe I am." I say trying to look serious, but ended up failing miserably instead.

"You couldn't even put a finger on me... well unless.." he says wiggling his eyebrows but I smack him on the back of the head.

"Ouch! Why are women so abusive." Ashton says with a grunt.

We get a couple of stares from kids on the bus but I just ignore them.

"Do you think today will be normal." I ask him as he keeps rubbing the back of his head.

"It's high school, it's never normal princess."

Unlike most schools, I find this one to be the most drama filled.. well ever...

And I haven't even been here for that long.

"Is this school.. normally this... crazy." I say now thinking that pretty much everyday I have been here, I have been in more situations than someone might have in a lifetime.

"Well," Ashton says moving closer to me, "sometimes, you just came at a bad time." He says shrugging his shoulders and pulling out his phone.

I feel the bus stop as we are now at school.

"Damn't I forgot." Ashton says looking at something out of the window. I follow his gaze to three cars pulling up.

Out walked some of the schools football players and cheerleaders.

They must be back from getting suspended from the party.

I follow Ashton off the bus and down the halls where Zander, Jake, and Damien were standing.

"Where's Luke?" Ashton says running his hand through his hair.

"Said he had to 'mentally prepare himself' for dumping Samantha. That kid needs to man up before I make him." Zander says rolling his eyes.

Damien looked utterly confused for a second, then I realized that he actually wasn't there yesterday when it all happened.

Honestly... boys are strange.

I thought girl's fights were complicated, well not as much as boys.

Apparently fighting is the answer? When it all happened, I was pretty scared. I thought one of them would be severely injured and although Luke was a huge jerk, I don't think he deserved to get sent to the hospital or anything like that.

But I still don't understand why I was brought there in the first place.

Ashton wanting me to learn how to punch?

Knowing me, if I had to get in an actual fight, I would probably have a mental breakdown first before anything happens.

"I can't believe they're back already." Jake says eyeing all the people in the hallway who were suspended.

"I don't think three days was enough." Damien says following Luke's gaze.

I hear footsteps and I turn around to see Luke speed walking over in our direction.

"Luke what's-.." I start to say but next thing I know Luke is using me as a human shield.

Then, an angry Samantha comes stomping down the hallway.

"How dare you break up with me!!" She shouts as she tries to look around me at Luke.

Yeah Luke.. just hide behind the girl who knows no self defense.

Great idea.

I feel soft hands pull me away from the middle of them and out of the way. I look up to see a Ashton glaring at Samantha, who was at first glaring at Luke, to now me?

What did I do.... oh.

I look down at Ashton's hand wrapped around mine.

"Samantha, leave him alone." Ashton says rolling his eyes and letting go of my hands to cross his arms and lean against a locker.

I look around to see lots of eyes looking at her outburst.

Samantha seems to notice all of the eyes, and this almost makes her angrier.

"If I were you, I would leave now before you make this situation worse." Zander says walking towards her, she just huffs and thankfully walks away.

At this time, the bells rings and everyone parts there separates.

I hope this problem is done.. for good.

~~~~~~~~~~~
I forgot how annoying school was when the class was actually full.
I sigh out as I try to use all the five minutes the teacher gave us to finish the work.
But while I was writing, I couldn't help but get distracted by a loud voice, which I soon recognized as Tessa.
Incase you don't remember, red headed queen bee, head cheerleader.... yeah that's pretty much it.
Oh and dreams of being with Ashton forever.
Definitely not the first.
*cough* Samantha *cough*
"I even told her that!!" I look over through my long hair to see Tessa roll her eyes, surrounded by the popular wannabes.
"Yeah, I can't believe we trusted Samantha, all she wanted to do was get in your mans pants."
I internally cringed at 'your man.' But kept listening in on the conversation.
What? It's not like they are being quiet or anything.
"She better watch her back."  Tessa says examining her nails, "because no one, I mean NO ONE makes a fool out of me."
I hear the bell ring and I rush to get to my next class.
Well, that wasn't semi scary at all.
Does most of the school know that Samantha was only faking to like Luke to get to Ashton?
But all my questions seem to be answered because I see Samantha walk down the hallway, with what once was heels and tight shirts and shorts to a big baggy sweatshirt, sweatpants, and not a piece of makeup in sight.
This is definitely not the girl I encountered with this morning... is it?
I couldn't get myself to look away, I was dumbstruck.
I watch as people give her disgusted looks in the hallway.
Noticing everyones stares, she just looks down at the ground and tries to take a larger strides.
When she passed me, I saw her glance up the slightest bit to see my face.. and I saw one thing I never would have thought I would see on her face...
Regret.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was now lunch time and the whole scenario just couldn't leave my head.

Was that really regret?

I mean, all she did ever since I met her was treat me like the gum stuck to the bottom of her shoe.

But when I saw her in the hallway...

I kinda felt bad.

I mean yeah, one part of me wanted to scream out, 'she deserved it!! Luke is so innocent, what she did was cruel!!"

But by the looks of it, is it worth for her senior year to be let into shame?

...

Maybe I'm just overthinking.

She shouldn't be someone I have to stress about anymore.

Luke is back to his normal self, their friend group is back together again, all the boys are happy...

There is nothing to worry about anymore...

Right?

"Hey" I hear someone say as a hand waves in front of my face.

Startled, I look over to see Damien smiling over at me.

"Hey Damien." I say grinning at him. He walks beside me down the hallway as we make our way to the lunchroom.

Honestly, he reminds of the innocent brother I never had.

We don't talk about the little devil who decided to steal my cupcake last night.

He will be continued to be ignored until I get another cupcake.

"So, have you seen Samantha around the hallways." Damien says, his eyes widening a bit before going to there regular size.

"Yeah.. honestly what happened?" I ask moving the hair off my shoulder as I push up my backpack.

"Apparently some freshman knew what happened and called her out after she left us in the hallway this morning." Damien says shrugging his shoulders.

A freshman? How in the world does a freshman know this knowledge?

I mean, they are called stupid freshman for a reason.

Hey, don't blame me, on my first day of freshman year, I printed out a full sized map of the school and planned out which hallway I would take to each and every class.

Looking back... I regret nothing.

"That's crazy." I say as we enter the lunchroom. It definitely was way more crowded like when I was here last week.

Almost every table was taken, and the football players and cheerleaders went straight back to 'there' table.

I follow Damien as he heads to the table usually all the boys sit at.

"I hate this." Was the first thing I hear coming from Jake.

"Hate what?" I say sitting down between Damien and Ashton.

"People." Jake says slamming his head on the table.

Ashton just rolls his eyes and pulls out his phone.

Zander and Luke were in the lunch line, whereas Jake and Ashton already got there's.

I pull out my lunch as Damien pulls out his and we just sit in an awkward silence.

Well, let me put it to you this way, Jake was scarfing down his food, Damien was doing some homework that he said isn't due for a week but he is almost finished, and Ashton.. well he just looks distracted about something.

I don't know what's on his mind, but it seems pretty important because every now and then, his eyes would squint or his jaw would lock.

I decided just not to.. interfere and keep eating my lunch.

Unlike some people..

"What you thinking about Ashy Poo?" A loud voice says as two trays slam on the table.

Zander laughs while Ashton looks up and glares at him.

This only makes Zander put his hands up in surrender, "jeez don't get your panties in a twist." He says giving a smirk to him.

"So Luke, glad to have you back." Jake says patting him on his back.

But Jake had some suspicious look to him.

"Oh lord here we go again." I hear Ashton mumble out and take a bite of his chicken.

Well.. what the school 'claims' as chicken.

"What do you want Jake." Luke says rolling his eyes, but held a little curiosity.

"By any chance.. did you.. you know.. get it with Samantha?" Jake says wiggling his eyebrows.

The next five seconds flashed quick beyond my eyes.

It was mostly all the boys yelling out curse words and somehow Jake ending up face first on the floor.

"No I didn't.. for your hornish information." Luke says stabbing a fork in his 'chicken' and shoving it in his mouth.

"Jeez, why is everyone acting like they are on their periods," Zander starts to say, but then he quickly turns to me, "no offense."

"None taken." I say waving my hand in dismiss.

I look at Ashton but he was already looking at me, still deep in thought.

I mouthed to him 'are you okay?' but he just swiftly nodded his head in response and looked away.

Ashton hasn't made one cocky remark all lunch...

Things are most certainly not okay.

Zander seemed to notice too because he just shrugged his shoulders at me when I gave a him a curious look.

Suddenly, an uproar in the cafeteria starts up and all of us look at the doors to the cafeteria.

There was Tessa surrounded by her little 'goons' facing toward a very alone Samantha.

Jake started to stand up to go watch but Ashton harshly pulled him back down in his seat and glared at him pretty much telling him 'No.'

It looks like we missed most of the 'fight' but we started to hear Tessa speak.

"I would watch your back Samantha." She says with a hint of evil in her eyes.

"Because I know your secret, and I wouldn't give a damn if I shouted it out right now."

I watch as Samantha's eyes grow wide as she pleads.

"Please Tessa!! I'm sorry!! I'm-.." tears start to form in her eyes and I feel a pit grow in my stomach.

Tessa looks like she was about to say something else but the crowd starts to instantly pull apart when some of the teachers arrive for lunch.

Remember at the beginning of the day when I said boys fights were complicated?

Well I was wrong, girls fights will probably forever be more complicated.

I look at Ashton but he just shakes his head and continues his lunch.

The rest of the boys also looked just as uninterested, but Damien looked as curious as I was.

What was Tessa talking about?

And what is Samantha's big secret?

Hey guys!! Did you think that after Luke dropped Samantha that this would be the end of her?

Well, apparently not!!

What do you think her secret is?

Will Tessa spill the beans and tell everyone?

You will just have to keep reading and figure out!!
