Julie's pov:
I sit in my room on my chair trying to drown myself in Netflix.

I am just so worried about Ashton that even Disney movies aren't helping.

And that's saying a lot because Disney movies solve all the worlds problems.

After that big fight between Ashton and his dad, he looked so angry.

I should have said at least something but I was so afraid that I would say the wrong thing that I just stood to the side.

Should I have stopped Ashton?

I don't know.

I look at my clock to see it is 10pm.

It is a school night, but I feel like if I tried to go to bed I would just end up tossing and turning.

My parents and brother came home almost three hours ago and I can already hear them snoring in their bedrooms.

See, I am the exact opposite of my family.

Both my parents and brother are morning people.

Too much if you ask me.

They actually wake up on weekends and eat breakfast because they don't stay up late at night.

Then there is me, Friday and Saturday nights are either reading a book, watching movies, or binge watching shows until one or two in the morning and than waking up at 11am for breakfast.

I look down at my phone to see the credits on. Another Disney movie down, another time where I accomplished nothing, but I still scroll through my phone to find a new one.

That was until I start to hear knocking on my window.

I stand up, but then freeze.

It's 10 at night, for all I know it could be my assassin.

I walk a little closer and peak through my curtain the tiniest bit to lock eyes with an Ashton.

"Hurry it's cold." I hear him mumble. I quickly unlock my window and open it to let him in.

I watch him as he takes the chair in my room that I was just sitting at watching Netflix on my phone.

I close my window and sit down across from him on my bed.

It wasn't until I really took a look at him to realize how bad of a shape he really was in.

He had bags under his eyes and his hair was sticking out all over the place.

Not only that but he looked like he got ran over by a car..

Multiple times.

"Are you okay?"

He looks at me for a second before nodding his head.

I watch as he hesitantly stands up from his place on the chair.

I was curious what he was doing until I felt the bed dip right beside me.

"I'm sorry." He says.

I turn my head to look at him.

I then get a flash back to last Monday.

It seemed so long ago.

Right after the dinner at my house, and Ashton sneaking into my room.

Him apologizing for no reason.

"So, does this happen.. often?" I ask.

He looks down at his hands. "Most times." He says shrugging his shoulders.

I want to ask him where he was or why he was in my room but I decide against it.

I don't want him to feel like I'm kicking him out or anything because I'm not.

"Ashton, can I ask you something?"

He looks up at me again.

Woah we are close.

He nods his head.

"Are you still mad at me?" I ask.

Almost instantly he responds, "No, of course not. I was just being stupid." He says looking at me sincerely.

I look into his eyes. Both of us in a daze.

I don't know if it was because we were both just tired or if it was just our emotional state.

"Ashton... you know I'm here for you right?"

I watch as his lips tug a little upwards. "I'm pretty sure you said I'm stuck with you. I don't think I have a choice."

I shake my head at him with a light smile on my face. "So that means that next time you speed away in your car I will have to chase you down."

At this, he lets out a soft laugh and I almost melt at that moment.

His laugh was almost angelic.

I know, funny right?

A laugh sounding angelic especially coming from the bad boy.

"What will you hunt me down with? A scooter?" He laughs quietly, fearful of my parents loud snoring next door.

"Hey, I got my drivers license now!!"

"Oh so now I have to worry about being chased down with one of those soccer mom cars?" He says in horror but I only gasp and hit him in the arm.

"Excuse me, my moms car is amazing if I do say so myself." I say cheekily as he rolls his eyes.

"Yeah okay princess."

I smile as I realize that he is no longer looking depressed from the fight.

"Do you trust me?" He says suddenly become serious.

I give him a suspicious look as he stands up.

"Yes?" I say still sitting down.

Does this involve having to stand up?

He rolls his eyes again as he takes both of my arms and pulls me up.

"Nooooo." I whine as he lets go of my arms making me have to use my own strength to stand up on my own.

Rude much.

"Follow me." He says.

He starts to walk towards my window but I don't follow behind.

When he opens my window, he realizes I'm not behind him and he looks back at me.

"Are you coming?"

"You mean outside?"

"Yes, as in somewhere other than your girly bedroom."

I ignore his comment as I walk to my bedroom window and look down.

Yeah.. no.

"That's a pretty.. far drop, which by the way how did you get up here?" I ask but he ignores my comment as he looks somewhere to the right of my window.

I glance over to see a tree about a foot away.

"On second thought-.." I attempt to turn around but Ashton catches my wrist before I had the chance to walk away.

"Come on, live a little." He says raising his eyebrows at me.

"But my parents-.."

"Are snoring so loud I can't even hear myself think." He says smirking.

I look at the tree then back at him.

"But what if I fall?"

"Then I will catch you."

"How are you sure?"

"Because I'm your Prince Charming." I sigh as I look back into my room then at him.

"Only one hour." I say squinting my eyes at him.

He grins and suddenly jumps onto the tree giving me a slight heart attack.

I look down at the ground.

Can someone prepare my death bed please?

Remember, wear bright colors to my funeral.

Maybe add a cotton candy machine.

Oh and ice cream, preferably the birthday cake kind.

"It's going to be sunrise if I have to wait any longer." I hear Ashton say bringing me out of my thoughts.

I glare at him as he smirks back at me from his spot on the tree.

I take a deep breath.

It's only a foot away.

Why am I so scared?

That's like one step.

I look down at the ground again.

Make that, one scary step.

I look back at the branch and count down.

Three..

Two..

One..

I take a step and next thing I know, I am off my window and on the branch.

"See you got it." Ashton says.

I crawl down a branch while he goes on the one I was recently on and he shuts my window.

He than swiftly climbs down past me and onto the ground.

"Show off." I mumble under my breath but he seemed to have heard me.

"Only for you." He sings out.

I slowly and carefully make my way down the branches.

When I am two branches off the ground, I feel my foot slip from its place on the branch.

I feel my heart stop as I close my eyes ready for the impact, but it never came.

I slowly my open eyes to see my Prince Charming.

Oh wait, never mind, it's just Ashton.

"Falling for me already?" He says.

"That was cheesy." I say laughing as he glares down at me.

"You know I could drop you if I wanted to."

"You wouldn't." I squint my eyes at him.

He gives me a challenging look.

He sets me down on the ground and I smile.

"I knew you wouldn't." I say smiling.

"Don't make me regret my decision." He says and starts walking towards the sidewalk.

I follow behind him as we silently walk down our street.

"Where are we going?" I ask him.

"Somewhere." He says.

"Where is somewhere?"

"Somewhere." He says again.

After about 10 seconds, I look back up at him.

"My feet hurt." I complain.

"I can still see our houses." He says looking back then down at me.

"And I can still feel my feet hurting." I say pointing down at my feet.

They weren't actually hurting, it's just funny to see him get annoyed.

His face would scrunch up when he would get more and more annoyed and although it was funny to watch, it was actually kinda cute.

So believe me when I say I did not expect him to be squatting down infront of me.

"What are you doing?" I laugh at him.

"You said your feet hurt, hop on my back."

"I was just kidding."

"Nope, too late." He says looking back at me.

Well, if he insists.

Without second thought, I hop on his back.

He fully stands with me on his back and continues walking.

I lay my head on his shoulder.

"You smell good." I mumble not really thinking.

"Thanks?"

I feel sleep try to take over me but I fight myself to stay awake.

I would say about ten minutes pass and I feel him come to a stop.

I lift my head from his shoulder to see us at a park.

"How come I have never seen this place while driving by?" I ask him.

He just shrugs his shoulders, well kinda since I'm on his back.

I feel him walk over and set me down on one of the swings.

He takes the one right next to mine.

"So, why did you bring me here?" I ask.

I look over to see his eyes trained on me.

"I don't know. Just wanted to come here I guess."

But I could tell that there was more to the story.

I squint my eyes at him.

"What?" He asks.

"Are you sure that's the only reason?"

"Yes."

"Are you sure."

"Yes."

"Are you really sure?"

"Yes."

"Are you really really sure?"

"Yes."

"Are you really really r-.." But he interrupted me before I could continue.

"If I tell you will you stop talking?" He says.

I try to hide my smile as I nod my head at him.

"This park has always been my.. get away place. I don't know, just a lot of people don't really come here and it's just nice for once to have an escape place." He says looking up.

I follow his gaze and gasp at how many stars laid above us.

I smile as I watch as some twinkle brighter than others.

My grandmother used to tell me that the ones that shined brighter were our ancestors.

And that they looked down upon us as stars to remind us that they are still there.

...

No wait.

I think it might have been the lion king instead.

...

Yep, definitely the lion king.

I look back at Ashton to see him already looking at me.

"Julie?"

"Yes?"

"Do you trust me?" I hear him say.

I slowly nod my head as I watch him as he stands up from his swing.

He walks over and kneels infront of me.

"What about now." I feel him whisper as our faces are only a few inches apart.

I freeze at how close we are but I still nod my head.

I watch as he moves closer, as do I.

I start to get nervous.

"You're way more prettier than the stars." I hear Ashton mumble as our lips are only an inch or two apart.

I blush as his eyes flicker to my lips than back at me.

I look down at the ground but with his free hand, Ashton slowly lifts my chin back up.

And I feel his lips connect to mine.

My first kiss.

His first kiss.

Our first kiss.

Together.

As I kiss back, I move my lips with his in sync almost as if we had been practicing for years.

Forget the fireworks, it was something more.

I feel him deepen the kiss as he lays his hand on my cheek.

After a couple of seconds, we both pull back and stare at each other.

"I have been waiting forever to do that." He says smiling at me.

"Me too." I smile breathlessly at him.

His eyes light up as his smile grows wider.

With his hand still on my cheek, he lays his forehead on mine.

This is definitely better than any Disney movie I have ever seen.

I feel a buzz and I watch as Ashton quietly mumbles something under his breath.

He looks at his phone then back at me.

"We should probably head back." He says.

He grabs my hand as I stand up from the swing.

"Do you want carried back?" He asks.

Still in a daze, I blush and nod my head.

Moment and all, I'm not passing up a chance of not having to put in the energy to walk.

I hop on his back once again as I now lay wide awake on his shoulder.

We kissed.

We kissed.

We kissed.

Keeps repeating over and over in my head.

I look over at the side of Ashton's face to see a wide smile and a tint of red on his cheeks.

I was scared that my first kiss would be rushed.

That I would regret it in the future.

That it would only be meaningless.

But this kiss... was perfect.

Ashton... was perfect.

When we got back to the tree, he sets me down and we both climb the tree to my window.

From there, I open my window and climb back in.

I turn around when I don't feel him climbing in behind me.

"I am going to stay the night at Zander's house. I'll see you at school tomorrow?" He asks.

I squat infront of my window as I nod my head at him.

Still thinking about the kiss.

"Be safe." I say.

"Always." He grins at me.

I watch as he starts to climb down the branches but he stops all of a sudden.

He looks back up at me and I give him a questionable look.

He climbs up the branches right up to me.

"What's wrong-..."

But not a second later I feel his lips against my cheek and I am being pulled into a hug.

"Thank you." I hear him whisper against my ear.

I hug him back just as tight trying not to move him as much so he doesn't lose his balance off the branch keeping him from falling.

He lets go and I watch again as he climbs down the tree and into the night.

I turn my light off and climb into my bed.

What does this kiss make us?

Ahhhhhh hope you loved this chapter!!

I am going bananas!!
