The sunlight peek through the curtains brighten up the whole room. On the king size bed she was snuggling under the duvet. she was sound asleep peacefully. maybe dreaming of something beautiful, dreams were her only escape but good life was out of her reach.

Her sleep was disturbed by the loud knock on the bedroom door. It was so loud that it echo loudly into the room like thunder making her jolt awake. her heart beat faster against her chest when she open her eyes. the knock didn't stop.

"Wake up already." the voice said annoyed. she clenched on the duvet tightly

"I....I a..wake" she said. little bit loudly,

"Mrs. Kim is waiting downstairs, don't be lazy and come fast." she gulp.

"O.. Okay" she said. she hear footsteps going far away from her room making her sigh in relief.

It was just a maid who just talk rudely to her. she doesn't know what she had done to her that she treat her like this.

It's been two years since she was married to the only hire of Kim family. and in these two years she never met her husband, yes he was there on their wedding day. she saw him but at the same night he left for Germany and haven't come back yet.

His mother visit her after every two or three days only to make sure her daughter-in-law is doing good, but she never tell her about the behavior of workers here.

she was eighteen when she was married to him. she was twenty now but she doesn't have self confidence. she feel scared of every single thing around her

she stood up from the bed after removing the duvet, she slowly make her way inside walk in closet her side of the closet only have few clothes, while on the other side there was her husband's clothes along with some fancy dresses she wonder who those belongs to.

After getting ready she walk downstairs, she realize a deep breath looking at Mrs kim sitting at the dinning table.

"G...good Mor..ning Mom" Mrs. Kim smile.

"Good morning sweetheart, did you sleep well?" she asked.

"I a.. actually sle..pt late l..ast night." Mrs. kim frown taking the sip of her tea.

"Why?"

"B.. because of T..Thunders...torm" Mrs. Kim nod.

"Don't worry, you won't be dealing with it alone after today" she look at Mrs. Kim who smile.

"Your dear husband is coming back tonight" she feel like her heart drop into the pit of her stomach, he was coming back tonight. she feel anxious and nervous.

"T.. Tonight?" how will he be like will he treat her like other treat her, will he get annoyed? will he hit her like....no no he won't hit her right? she gulp thinking about all the possible things that can happen.

"Sweetheart why are you not eating?" she look at her mother-in-law and look at the food in her plate.

"I...I am not h..hungry mom" she said.

"Here drink this, you will faint if you don't eat anything." Mrs, Kim said giving her the glass of juice and they continue with their breakfast.

EVENING:

she stood near the window of her room looking outside, she look at the birds flying freely in the sky, she want to be like that too. she want freedom, want to go anywhere she want without the fear of anyone.

she want escape from this painful life, she want to be little happy.

she flinch when she hear the rung of her phone, licking her dry lips she pick it up, her blood ran cold when she look at the caller id, she hesitate but pick up the call.

"H..hello?"

"what took you so long to pick up my call? were you trying to ignore me?" A loud voice make her startled.

"N..no f..father." she said he hummed.

"I heard that Mr. Kim is coming back tonight"

"Y..yes"

"I want to at your best behavior, I don't want any complain, do whatever he wants you to do. he is your husband after all. don't disobey him any cost if you don't want me to discipline once again." hearing his words her hands shake in fear. her lips tremble and tears burn in her eyes.

"I...I w.. won't disappoint you f... father" she said.

"Can you stop stuttering for fuck sake, he will throw you out if you keep it like that" she couldn't help it. this is how she was. even if she try she can't help but stutter like this.

"I...I am s...sorry" Mr. Kwan curse under his breath.

"Leave it, you are useless." he hung up the call. tears roll down from her eyes which she quickly wipe it her pale hands.

Only if she could run away.

MIDNIGHT:

Her eyes become heavy and her head drop making her awake once again. she want to stay away.

she shouldn't sleep, he was coming today abd how will he react if he found her sleep, she doesn't even know how will he react after meeting him what will she say.

No Don't sleep.

wait for him, what if he get mad.

she scold herself but her eyes betrayed her, her head rest on the pillow and she cover herself, finally giving up she fall asleep.

Few minutes later the sound of shoes echo into the silent place. dragging his suitcase he make his way towards his room. He open the door and turn on the light.

he step halt when he saw someone sleeping on his bed. he walk towards the bed. he tilted his head and look at the girl sleeping peacefully.

It's her?

His cold gaze stare at her curious, she was looking so small under that duvet, he took of his coat not leaving his eyes off of her.

she looks beautiful to him, her honey brown hairs spread all over the pillow, a small pout on her lips, her pale cheek.

what are you even think? All woman are same. did you forget about the money her father took from you. such a golddigger.

He scoff, he went towards the couch and sat on it. he lean on it feeling tired. his yes again fall on her sleeping figure.

but she looks so damn innocent.

he shake his head, he pull out the packet of cigarettes from his back pocket. taking a cigarette in between his lips he stare at her figure.

he clearly doesn't know how long he stare at her.

but she was too beautiful for his eyes.
