When you returned home exhausted, you saw your brother was still awake. He got up from the couch as soon as he noticed you walking in, and you saw he was hiding something behind his back.

"What are you smiling for? What are you hiding?" you asked and narrowed your eyes suspiciously.

"Well... You see, I got paid yesterday, and I already paid this month's hospital fee for our mother... So, here you are. You deserve this"

You gave you a bag. You could see it was from a clothes store. You opened it and saw a beautiful blouse and a pair of jeans. You almost cried. You couldn't remember the last time you received a present.

Your mother was in comma. She was in the hospital sleeping for a lot time. But it was just too expensive. When she was admitted in the hospital and you had to pay fees, you sold almost all of your belongings, mostly your clothing, you find money. Then, you found the job at the maid caffee and Namjoon wherever he could, because you had to pay every month lots of money, both for the house and the hospital.

Your father, who dumped your family and left, left behind a debt. The house you were leaving was bought with bank money, so the bank was asking them back. You had to repay little by little, except if you could find another place to stay.

You didn't have time and money to buy clothes again from the beginning, so you were wearing Namjoon's. You didn't care that everyone was making fun of you, because people like Taehyung had no idea what you were going through.

You hugged your brother and he hugged you back.

"I'm sorry, sis" he whispered and you looked into his eyes.

"About what?"

"I wanted you to have a normal teenage life, hanging out with friends for coffee, spending your time shopping, demanding things you wanted... I'm sorry that for the time being it's so hard for you. I'm sorry I'm failing as a brother"

He'd changed lots of jobs all this time, because he always seemed to have problems. He would always be fired for one reason or another. He was always afraid he wouldn't find another one the next time, and he didn't know for how long he would be lucky.

You didn't know how long your mother would be in the hospital. You didnt know whether she'd wake up. You lived in uncertainty.

"It won't always be hard" you told him and smiled confidently.
