I stood by the doorway. I couldn't help but overhear the argument between Sebastian and his mother. Since that day I realised that we were both fighters, things have changed. He has changed. He talks to me more and more, it's strange.

"Touch one hair on her head and you won't have a place to stay," he threatened. Were they talking about me?

His mother let out a scoff. I could just imagine her crossing her arms over her chest and narrowing her eyes at him. "I pushed you out of me. I did not go through all that pain just so you could prioritise some girl over me."

"Mother-," he began to say.

"What about your brother? What about Luca?," she asked him, instantly silencing him.

He stayed silent for a moment as he thought. He cleared his throat. "I apologise. The plan is still going ahead. You just caught me in a moment of weakness."

"It better not happen again."

"Don't worry it won't."

She let out a huff as I heard her heels clacking against the marble floor. I quickly moved away from the doorway, hiding in plain sight as she walked past me and left.

I slowly walked towards the doorway before making my presence known. "Liliana," he said, my name rolling of his tongue perfectly. "What are you doing here?" He cleared his throat and rolled his shoulders back.

"Can you get me some stuff?," I asked as I entered the room and slung myself back onto the comfy couch.

"For?"

"School. It's starting next week."

"Fuck," he cursed hitting the desk, making me look at him in annoyance. "I forgot you're still a kid." I narrowed my eyes at him as he shrugged his shoulders carelessly.

"And you're still an asshole," I said feigning shock. That's a pretty good comeback, am I right?

"We're going to Italy next week," he said, ignoring my last comment.

"Why?," I asked. I have no reason to go and I'm sure he doesn't really wanna take me. I don't really wanna go if his mom's gonna be there.

"Because I said so," he stated before ushering me out of the room.

I plan to find out exactly why he decided to take me to Italy out of nowhere because he wouldn't just take me there for a vacation.

"Vinnie!," I yelled as I wrapped my arms around Vincenzo. "I can't believe you're coming too!" At least this trip won't be as boring.

"Vinnie?," he questioned with a chuckle as he let go of me.

"Yeah like Winnie the Pooh but yours is Vinnie," I said in a duh tone. His mouth began moving but I tuned it out as my eyes zeroed in on Domenico and Sebastian having a private discussion that seems rather heated. Vincenzo noticed and slung an arm over my shoulders, guiding me away from where we were. "What's going on over there?," I asked as I tried to look back.

"No idea," he mumbled as he forced me to face forwards. "Anyway, have you watched this new show? It's called-."

I put my hand up to silence him. He abruptly stopped talking like I just sliced his tongue off. "Why are you trying to change the subject?"

"I'm not," he shrugged. "Oh look, get on the plane." He practically pushed me into the plane and threw me into a seat.

He was acting strange.

I stayed silent until Sebastian walked in. As he walked past my seat, not even glancing at me, I gripped his arm. He stopped and looked back at me. "Can we talk?"

He nodded his head as he continued walking. I followed him until we entered a bedroom. He sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for me to speak.

Why is he looking so hot? The way his dress shirt sleeves are rolled up to the way his hair is styled. He's just perfect.

I cleared my throat. "I was just wondering if I could have my phone back?"

"No," he simply said. "I feel like we've had this conversation before and we both know how that one ended."

"Please." I wasn't going to tell him that I don't feel safe flying out of the country with them. He let out a groan as he stood up and stalked towards me. Not once did I break eye contact.

"Maybe once we come back, principessa," he mumbled as he brushed back the hair that was covering my neck. His fingers lingered on my neck for a second longer before a knock sounded on the door. He dropped his hand and took a step back just as the door was thrown open.

"Sebastian, I was wondering where you had got to," his mom voiced as she completely ignored me. This trip is gonna be fun.

"Come on, mother," he said as he tore his eyes away from me. He guided her out of the room.

I couldn't help but question his intentions. Is this really just a nice vacation or is it a front for something else? Is he really gonna give me my phone back or is he just saying it to keep me quiet?

I have no problem with missing school because just like every other teenager that attends, I feel like it's complete and utter torture. Plus, I'd rather stare at Sebastian all day.

Wait. What the fuck did I just think? I cannot be thinking about him like that. Sure he's hot but I shouldn't be wanting to stare at him like some piece of meat after all he's a mafia leader with no heart. He's also Blade and he plans to kill me.

I still have no idea how I'm not freaking out about that.

I paced back and forth before I threw myself back onto the bed. I might as well get some sleep since I'll be stuck in this plane for more than 10 hours.

Just kill me now.
