-Alaina-

He pulls my head into his chest, stroking my wet hair, his heart racing as his chest moves up and down fast.

"Alaina, you need to tell me what the hell happened to you, darling."

Pulling my head away, he cups both sides of my face.

"Let me clean that, its pretty bad." he places the softest kiss on my forehead before leading me into his bathroom, me limping my way behind him.

I step weird on my ankle, my breath catching in my throat, biting back a loud groan.

"Hey, whats wrong, baby?" he rushes to my side.

"My ankle." I slur out, and before I can explain, he sweeps me off my feet and carries me bridal style before placing me on the counter in his bathroom, his veiny arms on either side of me.

"Why do you have to be so hot?" I whine as he turns his back to me in search of what I'm assuming is a first aid kit.

"I should be asking you." he chuckles, looking me up and down from the corner of his eye.

He leans in close to my face, his breath fanning my face.

"Fucking hell, Alaina, how much did you drink?" his eyes dart over my face.

"Pfffft not that much." I wave my hands around, dismissing his comment.

He smiles a little, pecking my lips before picking the first aid kit up.

"Okay, this is going to hurt, love, but only for a few seconds."

I have no idea whats going on but before I know it, something is pressed to my cut and the stinging pain charges through my entire body and my hand shoots out to grab Dom's arm.

"I said it would hurt, I'm sorry, baby, I don't want it to get infected." he gently places his soft lips on mine once more.

Reluctantly, I let go of his arms, allowing him to continue.

"Just look at me instead, yeah? It might help you not think about it."

I look dead into his eyes, getting lost in the swirls of browns and golds.

His eyes are so different in moments like these, more soft than I knew eyes could be.

"Okay, done. See, it wasn't so bad." he throws the tissues and cotton pads in the bin beside us.

I close my mouth, not realising it was open, Dom smirking knowingly at me.

"Your cute." he stands between my legs, placing both of his cold hands on my waist. "Just remind me to never let you drink if this is what you get yourself into." he laughs looking down at my injuries.

The corner of my lips turn up as he looks into my eyes.

"So, are you going to tell me what happened, or do I have to figure it out for myself?"

I throw my head back, groaning.

"Its not that important." I try and dismiss him.

"Clearly it is, Alaina, your hurt, that's the most important thing to me. It could have been a lot worse, so why don't you tell me how this happened?"

"Sophie's party." I mumble and his face changes to anger almost instantly.

"I told you she was no good for you."

"It's not her fault, I drank too much and she wanted to leave so she left with some guy. I broke my phone. Lucky me." I laugh, trying to lighten the situation, but his face remains serious.

"Damn tough crowd. Anyway, I decided to walk here, twisted my ankle and fell." I point to the swelling on my foot.

"Can I look? I'll be careful, I promise." He holds his pinky up to me and I smile at the cute gesture, locking our fingers.

His finger grazes it and I flinch back.

"At a guess, I'd say it's sprained, but if you want to go to the hospital to check, I can drive you."

"No, that's okay-"

I look at his face, his eyebrows furrowed as his eyes are set on a specific spot on my arm.

"What you looking-"

"Alaina, what the fuck is that?" he clutches my arm and my chest constricts.

"Who hurt you?"

"No one hurt-"

"Don't bullshit me, Alaina." he says, sternly. "Now, who laid their hands on you?"

"Just some guy." I mumble, ashamed.

His fingers hook under my chin, tilting my head up to him, his eyes darting between both of mine.

"What do you mean?" he asks in the softest tone.

"I was sat at the bar." I continue, hesitantly. "and he was grabbing me and stuff, and I asked him to stop." my eyes close as the memory.

"Honestly, it's not a big deal, it could have been a lot worse." I try to laugh it off.

"Alaina, listen to me." he keeps my head in place, holding eye contact. "It is a big deal. No one should ever lay their hands on you when you haven't asked them to. Never."

Tears build up in my eyes, so I close them to keep the sadness at bay.

I feel Dom press a delicate kiss to each of my eyelids.

"Don't cry, mi amore. You're with me now. I'm sorry I wasn't there to keep you safe."

I hear the shrill of my ringtone, but honestly, my sense of direction is not great right now.

The phone appears in front of me as he hands it to me, clearly not happy by the name on the screen.

Click.

"Hey, Soph-"

Her heavy breathing cuts me off. I lean forward, confused.

"Whats wrong?"

"Alaina. Please come meet me. You know I hate being by myself." she whines through the speaker.

"What happened to the cute guy?"

"We hooked up, I left, and your the only one willing to come and meet me at night." she admits.

"Fine, me and my boyfriend can come pick you up." I roll my eyes as I hop off the counter, regretting it as the pain appears again.

"Yeah whatever, I'll turn my location on, see ya babe. Kisses."

And with that she hangs up.

"Okay, don't be mad." I look at Dominic.

"Oh, I heard it all, A, and first of all, my god I love hearing you call me your boyfriend," he smirks. "but more importantly, your saving her ass again?"

"She's done a lot for me these past few years."

"Okay, give me one thing shes done of value to you." Just as I open my mouth, he interrupts me. "And don't even think about saying something dumb about lending you shoes or a shirt."

I rack my brain for something, but alas his point has been proven.

"Look, she's a good friend. Will you please just take me?"

"Of course I will, I know you going to go either way and your not going out alone again, especially when your still a little drunk." he explains to me.

He interlocks our fingers, placing one of my arms around his, helping me walk to his car.

"Oh, and by the way, your staying the night, no questions. I'll take you to work in the morning, even though you shouldn't work on that ankle, but your too stubborn." he adds.

Opening my door for me, he gently places me in the passenger seat, clipping my seat belt for me before walking to the drivers side.

Not even 10 seconds after he sat down, his hand is set firmly on my leg, stroking his thumb back and forth.

We turn a few corners before I see her walking, eyes glued to her phone as she walks on the street.

Dominic slams his hand on the horn, causing everyone to stare at the car.

I wave my hand lightly at her before pulling my hood of the hoodie Dom gave me and shrinking down in the seat in embarrassment.

The back door opens and I hear Sophie let out a prolonged sigh.

"You good, Soph?" I ask, exhausted from the night, my head pounding.

"Mhm, just take me home." she sighs, again.

I look into the wing mirror and see her staring into the rear view mirror.

Right at Dominic.

I take a deep breath, before laying my head on the window, relishing in the feeling of his warm hand on my thighs, squeezing lightly and caressing every so often.

When I open my eyes, he turns and looks at me for a second, looking slightly uncomfortable at the eyes on him.

"Left. Last building on the left." she says in a soft, sultry voice, flipping her hair.

This girl, I swear.

We finally arrive and she steps out the car.

"Bye babe," she does a weird wave at me. "and I'll see you soon." she gives Dom a once over and walks away.

"What the fuck?" he says through gritted teeth, turning to look at me.

As Soph turns around one last time, he rushes to grab my face, place a firm, passionate kiss on my lips, my eyebrows raising.

He pulls away, leaning his forehead against mine.

"Just making sure she knows who I belong to." he smiles.

Placing a hand around the top of my throat he pulls me in for another, this one a lot more rushed.

Turning my head, I see Sophie gone, so I climb over the console, settling myself on his lap.

I rock myself forward, rubbing on him, he lets out a throaty groan into my mouth, running his hands up my thighs.

His hands travel up the hoodie, his thumb stroking the bottom of my bra.

Pulling gently on his hair, I push my hips forward, both our moans mixing from the friction.

One of his hands enters the back pocket of my jeans, pulling me impossibly closer.

His other moves down my front, his cold palm making its way into my jeans, making contact with me through my underwear.

A muffled moan escapes my lips before a loud ringtone blares in the car.

Taking away his hand, he picks up his phone, still rubbing my waist with the other, his icy rings digging into my skin.

I take a deep breath as he talks on the phone, disappointment flooding his face when I go back to my seat.

He places the phone on the dashboard, turning to face me.

"I'm sorry, my love." he places a soft kiss on my lips before starting the car again.

"Its okay. Who was it?"

"Just work, I shouldn't have even answered, it wasn't important." he admits. "Not even near as important as you."
