Chapter 9: “You're Welcome,”

♡ Belle's pov ♡

"now as you all know we have a new project," the teacher turned around from the board to see the class.

"you can choose your partner," the class cheered.

"or I can choose them for you, what do you say?" she asked.

"we will choose," the class responded.

"Brandon," I hear Alexander say to Brandon.

"yes?" Brandon said.

"lets be partners,"

"you said you wanted to kill me. I'm not taking my chances with you."

'what?'

"fine I won't kill you,"

'what did he say?'
'is he on some serial killer shit?'
'got to be on his good side'

"as if that's any better," Brandon said as he scoffed and turned back around.

"want to be partners?" i turned to see Rebecca ask Alexander.

"I got a partner already," Alexander said.

"oh really? Who?" she asked.

'can that girl mind her business?'

"Lilly" he put his arm around my shoulder, making look at him in surprise.

'what the fuck did he just say'

"what?"

"you are partner with Alex?" Rebecca asked me.

'remember stay on his good side'

"yes I am" I smiled and patted his arm.

"oh alright" Rebecca said and turned to Alex "maybe next time we can be partners" she said and winked.

'Alexander owes me this'
'she's creepy'

"we will not be partners I only said that to save your ass from her, you owe me," I said to Alexander.

"as If I want to be partners with you,"

'rude bitch'
'you're the one that said-'

"hey belle" harry cut off my thoughts.

"oh hey Harry,"

"want to be partners?" Harry asked me.

'I'd rather be Alexander's partner'
'at least he can actually work with me'

"oh that's too late I'm already with uh," I said but stopped.

'fuck who?'

"we are partners," Alexander said to harry.

'I guess I'm on his good side because he helped me'

"yeah I'm partner with Ace,"

'why the fuck did I say Ace'

"who's Ace?" Harry asked me.

'Alexander, you dumb shit'

"I mean Alex,"

"oh I thought you said Ace,"

"she calls me Ace," Alexander said.

"well do you want to hang out tomorrow?,"

'can this guy get a hint?'
'without receiving any hint?'

"sorry to bother you, but tomorrow we're going to do the project together, right Lilly?" Alexander said.

'if I don't hate him, I would have hugged him right now'
'thank you Ace'

"yeah I'm busy tomorrow maybe some other day?"

'some other day means no one day at all.'

"sure" harry said, and finally went to his seat.

'God'

"guess we are partners now," I heard Ace say from beside me.

'sadly'

"thank you for that,"

"it's alright id rather be partners with you rather than Rebecca,"

'good side people good side'

"same, id rather your dumb ass over harry any day,"

That was actually not a lie, last time when harry and I were partners it was a disaster. he barely did any work with me and left the hard part to me also he barely helped me with the speech.

Alexander would have bullied me to encourage me to do better.

FLASHBACK

"now lets watch you mess it up all because you are nervous," Ace said as he walked next to me to class.

"just leave me alone, Ace,"

"why would I do that Lilly? you are acting as if I'm wrong at least if you controlled your nervousness and focused on you, your project and your partner you wouldn't have to worry about the class."

"I can't help it they stare into my soul."

'that it self is an issue'

"like I told you, focus on yourself, your project and your partner only," Ace said.

'he is making me nervous I will vomit'

"I'll try,"

"you should because if you don't you'll regret it we spent a lot of time on this project I don't want you to mess it up," Ace said.

i can do this, in and and out, just focus on the project.

we entered the classroom and sat down in our seats after a few minutes the teacher came in and the presentations began.

"Belle and Alexander, you are up."

"remember what I told you," Alexander whispered in my ears before he got up and went to the board.

we finished the presentation, and I did a good job I wasn't nervous about the class looking at me and judging me.

"Belle And Alexander you got ninety seven out of one hunderd that's absolutely great it shows that you two put an effort into this project more than others," the teacher said.

'oh my god'

"see I knew you could do it," Ace whispered to me.

"do I have to bully your courage out of you?" Ace asked me.

'Looks like you should'

"no you made me nervous I wanted to vomit on you."

"but you didn't" Ace smirked and looked at the board.

I would have said thank you, but he is an asshole. from there we are always partner, not by choice though, the teachers always put this grade as an excuse to make us partners.

'we got with luck only'
'no you two got with your hard work'

FLASHBACK ENDED

I felt so hot and my hair is not helping.

the one time I forgot to have a hair tie on my wrist is when I deeply needed it.

'great',

"God, its hot in here. I wish I had a hair tie now,"

I grabbed a pencil and wrapped my hair with it, keeping it in place.

i saw Alexander from the side of my eye looking at me.

'what does he want?'

"what are you looking at?" she asked.

"I'm looking at a miserable girl trying to tie her hair up,"

'bitch',

"well you would have been helpful if you have a hair tie."

"why would I have a hair tie?" He asked me.

'right I forgot only a gentleman would have'

"nevermind you're not anyone that matters to me anyway ill just take mine from Flynn,"

"why do you have yours with Flynn?" He asked me

'he asks a lot'

"he wears it as a bracelet so when I needed it, it's there,"

'thank you, Flynn'

"maybe you should learn for your future girlfriend or wife," I said as I continued to write.

'as if he will have any'

THE DINNER

I was sitting next to Dylan who was talking with Flynn and in front of me is Cameron and Ayla.

"oh hello there," I heard my mom say at the door, I turned my head to the door and found Mr and Mrs. Adams and Alexander talking with my mom.

he came inside and sat next to Cameron who is making Ayla blush.

'Ayla?'
'oh God hopefully she doesn't faint'

I felt an arm around my shoulder I looked to see Dylan smiling down at me.

'why did he do that?'
'that's weird, he never does that'

I was making a few small talks with everyone here and there just so I wouldn't feel uncomfortable.

"hey Alexander," Flynn said to Alexander.

"hi Flynn,"

"want some chips?"

'I want'

"what flavor?"

"cheese,"

'I want'

"oh hey Alex," Dylan said as if he just saw him.

Whats up with Dylan today he is acting weird. he put his arm around my shoulder, Dylan never does that.

I heard a faint ring and opened my phone

"Guys, dinner is ready," I heard my mom yell from the backyard.

we all stood up and went out to see a huge table with lots of food.

"I will faint" Ayla said.

'let me call Cameron real quick'

"so belle" my uncle Adam said to me.

"yes, uncle Adam?"

"any updates" he winked, meaning my love life.

'God help me'

"no absolutely no updates,"

"well what about you and Alexander," he asked.

"what about us?"

"I heard you two are great partners,"

"we aren't," Alexander said.

"but you two always get the highest grade when you are doing a project together,"

"that's all me," Alexander said earning a pinching on his thigh from me.

"that luck," I said, still pinching him.

"oh please,I do all the work she just freaks out," he pinched me on my arm.

'fucker'

"she attendes to do that when shes nervous" uncle Adam said to Alexander.

"who is making you nervous, Belle?" Uncle Ace said.

Uncle Ace and Adam are together and they are absolutely adorable.

basically this is how the dinner went Alexander and i pinching each other and making embarrassing comments on each other.

"its so funny when I put a spider in Lilly's bathroom," Alexander said as they all laughed and talked about how my scream was loud.

'that little fucker'

I pinched him and glare at him thinking of every way I can embarrass him.

"oh lets not talk about his high pitch scream when I put a real rat in his room. God, that day was the highlight of my entire year," i said, making them laugh again.

'take that little shit'

I saw Mrs. Adams and my mom whispering to each other and giggling while looking at us.

'oh no'
'I don't want them to ship us'

I looked to my side to see Alexander looking at them.

"did you hear them" I whispered to Alexander.

"I did, and I don't like it," 

"if they think about shipping us together I will off myself," i whispered.

"you and me both,"

"wait no, they will think about the 'till death do us apart' thing," I whispered with a terrified look on my face.

'that's horrible'
'oh my god'

"lets just ignore them," Alexander whispered back.

we didn't talk or even look at each other the whole dinner.

we worked on this project 5 days a week and 5-7 hours a day I have seen Alexander more than I've seen my cousins.

okay fine that was a lie but I just had enough of seeing him every day in school and now I have to see him climb up my window to do a project.

Alexander just doesn't like to come from the door instead he climbs to my room from his window.

'can I move my room?'

"listen here Lilly" Alexander said making me turn my head in his direction.

"if you mess this up I'll ruin your whole week,"

"just by the look at you and its ruined," I said and rolled my eyes.

"you hands are shivering" he held my hand to stop them from shaking too much.

"just focus on yourself, your-"

"your project and your partner I got it Alex" I cut him off, pulling my hand away from him.

"lets get to class" we walked to our class.

we entered, and the teacher started with the presentation.

"Belle and Alexander, once they finish you are up," the teacher said, making me even more nervous than I already was.

"don't you even dare to freak out," Alexander whispers to me.

"you are not helping" I started to shake my leg.

after a few minutes I felt a hand on my thigh I looked at the hand that belongs to Alexander.

every time he is annoyed by my leg shaking he puts his hand on my thighs to make them stay in place and by time that move helped me calm down.

"you're shaking again," Alexander whispers.

"sorry" I whispered, playing with my fingers.

he put his hand on my hand which is another thing he always does when I'm nervous.

"Focus on yourself, Lilly," Alexander said, still holding my hand and thigh.

"I'm okay, thank you,"

"I'll say you're welcome when we get a good grade,"

'rude bitch'

"Alexander And Belle" the Teacher said.

after we finished our project others presented.

(A/N I'm not adding the full presentation because its boring and nothing interesting anyway  just knowledge)

"Ayla And Cameron you got eighty" I looked at Ayla who looked shocked and turned to me. I held my thumbs up and smiled at her.

these two worked very hard on their project they spent days and hours even in lunch working on it.

"Alexander and Belle, you got ninety eight the highest score again," the teacher said as she smiled at us.

"you're welcome," Alexander whispered to me.

"huh? about what?" I whispered.

"you forget so fast, damn," Alexander whispered.

'whatever'
