One Month Later

"Amelia! Chloe! Xavier and Aidan are here!" My dad shouts from downstairs.

It's been one month since Lucy has told us she was pregnant, and since then the rogues have started to become more aggressive towards everyone. There have been attacks all over the territory and everyone is starting to become anxious.

Xavier's parents and Xavier have decided now is the time to have Chloe and I go up to Oregon and meet the other healers. We are actually on our way to the airport now.

Since only Chloe and I are healers, we all decided we should keep the group small and bring our mates only. So it's only going to be us four on this trip.

I go downstairs to see Xavier, Aidan, Chloe, and my dad all at the door waiting to leave.

"Sorry." I say, as I carry my duffle bag down the stairs.

Xavier comes over and grabs my bag from me. I walk over to my dad and give him a hug.

"You girls stay safe! Those animal attacks are becoming so frequent now." My dad says, giving Chloe and I kisses on the cheek.

"You stay safe too dad!" I say.

Since the attacks are so frequent now, and the rogues know about me being Xaviers mate and Chloe being Aidans, we have 24/7 watch on our house and my dad. Xavier doesn't let me out of his sight, same with Adian and Chloe, long enough for us to have to have 'bodyguards'.

We leave, and drive to the airport. After going through security and everything else we finally board the plane.

4 hours later

After a short flight and drive to where the healers live, we finally make it to their house. It's a little pack of six healers that live here. We also have learned that they are distant cousins so it's kind of a family reunion in a weird way.

We all get out of the car, once Xavier parks in the driveway, and walk up to a house that looks like the Cullens house from Twilight. Xavier knocks on the door, and a woman around the age of 40 answers.

"You must be Xavier, Amelia, Chloe, and Aidan," she says shaking our hands. "I'm Andrea."

"It is very nice to finally meet you." I say.

She opens the door further and has us follow her into the house and up the stairs to the living room. There are three other people, two guys and one girl. They all look to be in their middle to late 20's.

"This is Jarrod." A brunette boys waves.

"Arden." A girl with black hair waves.

"And Ryder." A boy with black hair waves.

"Hi." Xavier, Chloe, Aidan, and I all say back to them.

"Now these are our most experienced healers. The other two who live here are new to all this like you two are." Andrea explains.

"They all have different strengths in their teachings, which they will tell you about now." Andrea tells us.

"So I'm going to teach you guys how to control your power." Arden tells us.

"And I'm going to teach you how to harvest it." Ryder then says.

"And lastly, I'll teach you how to use it." Jarrod finishes.

"Since you girls are only here for four days, we need to start now." Andrea says, pushing all of us towards the back door.

"You two, put your bags by the couches." Andrea points to Xavier and Aidan.

They throw the bags down, and catch up to where Chloe and I are. Xavier puts his arm around me, and it calms my nerves about all of this.

"So everyday you're going to learn something and then on the last day we are going to test all three." Andrea explains once we stop a little ways from the house.

"Today we are going to start with how to harvest your energy to heal or create shields." Ryder explains.

Arden and Jarrod walk away, since they are not needed today. Xavier, Aidan, Chloe and I all sit on the grass and watch and listen to everything Ryder says.

After an hour of him explaining everything, he starts to have Chloe and I do all of the techniques he told us. Chloe got it easily while it took me an extra 30 minutes to learn.

"Amelia, just do what he is saying." Xavier says, trying to comfort me.

Which in turns only pisses me off more. "Will you just shut the fuck up!"

I then feel this warm sensation on my skin, and look down to see my arms glowing. I look up to Xavier and meet his shocked expression with my own.

"So Amelia, you are triggered by anger as Chloe is triggered by anxiety." Ryder comes over to tell me, as I calms down.

"How can you tell Chloe's fueled by anxiety?" Aidan asks.

"Well the reason it was so easy for her was because of how anxious she was about it. Once you girls get even more experienced you'll be able to read people and their feelings." Andrea tells us.

After a few more hours of messing with different emotions and triggers, we decide to call it a day when the sun starts to set. Since it's February in Oregon, everyone is also freezing besides Xavier and Aidan.

The reason we have to stay outside though is it is too dangerous to be in a closed area when Chloe and I don't know how to control our power yet. There were many times we accidently hurt Xavier and Aidan instead of shielded or healed them.

"Alright, Arden should have dinner ready for us." Andrea says as we all walk to the dining room.

On the dining room table was mashed potatoes, sliced turkey, carrots, asparagus, and broccoli. This group must be very healthy, explains how they are all so fit.

I sit next to Xavier, and Chloe and Aidan sit across from us. The two healers we hadn't met yet join us and tell us their names are 'Vince' and 'Evelyn.' We all eat dinner in an comforting silence, and then we start to have a conversation after everyone is finished.

"So I hear the problem with rogues is becoming worse." Jarrod says, looking to Xavier and I.

"Yes, but we plan to soon put all of this and them to an end." Xavier says sternly, ending any talks about the rogues.

Xavier and the rest of the heads of the pack have been up many nights trying to figure out where the rogues are stationed, where they're going to strike next, etc. Whenever anyone brings it up to them they get very on guard about it.

"Sorry Alpha." Jarrod says, bowing his head.

"It's okay." Xavier says curtly.

I've never seen Xavier around people other than his family that are in the pack, but I don't like how he talks so curtly to them. They are equal to us, and as Luna I will definitely be saying something about this.

"So, Amelia and Chloe how did you guys learn you were healers?" Evelyn asks, quickly changing the subject.

"Oh well we actually learned the connection because Xavier's dad was telling us about healers and the name sounded familiar so we asked our mom about it. She told us that our great-grandmother would talk about how her parents were healers and the next generation, after our grandmother, would be my moms children, us." I explain.

"You were told that we are all distant cousins though right?" Andrea says.

"Yes we were told that, but who here is related?" Chloe asks.

"Well Jarrod is my son, and Ryder and Arden are my brothers children."Andrea explains.

"But Vince and I aren't related to you guys. We are from the east coast pack but moved here because they didn't have healers good enough to teach us." Evelyn tells Chloe and I.

"Oh so we are only related to you four." I clear up.

"Yes."

"Mom, I think it's time we let them get some rest." Jarrod cuts in.

"Yes, yes. Sorry. Vince will you please show them their rooms." Andrea says.

Vince nods and stands up. We follow him up another staircase, to a hallway of bedroom. Chloe and Aidan's room is two down on the right from the staircase and Xavier and I's is just across from them.

"Man I am worn out." I say, flopping onto the bed.

"Well change into your pjs before you go to sleep." Xavier says laughing.

"Don't tell me what to do." I say, as I go to my bag to grab my pajamas.

"Ohh but you do what I say regardless." Xavier grabs his bag and pulls out a tshirt to change into.

"Are you sleeping in your jeans?" I ask, as I start to change.

"No, I believe we are comfortable enough with each other that I can start to sleep how I do at home, in just boxers."

"But you have a shirt pulled out?" I point out.

"Okay so kind of the way I sleep at home."

"I don't care, as long as we sleep." I lay back in bed.

Xavier comes beside me after turning off the light. His warmth immediately makes me very warm and move towards him. He wraps an arm around me and snuggles up to me too.

"I can totally get used to how warm you are you know." I say, as I drift to sleep.

"I'm happy to know that." Xavier kisses my cheek.

I force myself to wake up so I can ask Xavier about why he was so curt to Jarrod at dinner.

"Xavier." I say, looking up at him.

"Mmm" he says as he starts to fall asleep.

"Why were you so curt to Jarrod? It was kind of rude."

"It's not being rude baby, it's showing them they have to respect me." He says, his eyes now looking into mine.

"Well if you ever talk to me that way, or ever did, I'm bound to cry." I tell him, flipping my body the other way.

He moves my body back so I am facing him again. "Amelia, I promise I will never talk to you in that way. I love and respect you too much to ever."

"Well then learn to respect them too."

"I do respect them, but you are my equal not them." He explains.

"I see myself lower than them."

"Why? Because you're not a werewolf?"

"Maybe." I whisper.

"Amelia even if you aren't a werewolf you deserve their respect and mine. You are our luna no matter what you are." He tells me, giving me a very passionate kiss.

"Okay okay." I giggle as he continues to kiss my face and neck.

"Goodnight love." He says, giving me one last kiss.

"Goodnight babe." I snuggle back up against him and we fall asleep.
