Once we reach the Santa Monica Pier, we all buy wristbands for the rides in Pacific Park. We walk around and decide to play some of the carnival games first.

"Let's do this one." Chloe says, walking towards one of the carnival games.

We all take a seat at it, I look up at the neon sign above the game and see it called 'Balloon Blast.' I'm usually good at this game and use to beat mom, dad, and Chloe in it all the time.

The employee blows a whistle that signals us to start, and we all push the triggers and aim the water at the target. The balloons start to fill up the water and within a few seconds, someone's pops.

We all look down to see Aidan was the one to win. He picks out one of the stuffed animals and hands it to Chloe, who blushes.

"Damn Amelia," Christine says from beside me "I had my money on you for winning this game."

"You were close." Lucy says.

I laugh and wave my hand at them. We leave the game and continue to walk around the pier. After walking around and playing a few more games, Aidan and Chloe split from the group.

"We're also going to split from you guys if you don't mind. We wanted to go on the ferris wheel before the sun sets." Lucy explains.

"Oh yeah, you guys should go." I say Xavier, Blake and Christine agreeing with me.

"You sure?" Grayson asks.

"Yeah man, you guys go and have some alone time." Blake wiggles his eyebrows causing us all to laugh.

They walk away and now it is just us four. I'm lowkey happy that the two couples have left, because I've wanted to just hang out with Xavier, Blake, and Christine alone now for a while.

"What should we do?" Christine asks.

"Let's go on a roller coaster." Xavier suggests.

"Hell yeah!" I say excitedly. I have always loved the adrenaline that comes with going on a rollercoaster.

"I'll sit this one out." Christine says, immediately reminding me of her fears of rollercosters.

"What wrong? Are you afraid of them?" Blake asks her.

"Maybe." She says quietly.

"We don't have to go on one if you don't want to." I tell her. I don't want her to feel excluded.

"No, you guys go on it, I'll be down here, safe, and I can hold everyone's phones and stuff." She says, trying to convince us to go.

"I'll stay with you, I don't like them too much because they give me bad headaches." Blake tells us

"Okay, we'll go on one then after we can go play more carnival games and stuff." Xavier says.

We agree with that plan, and walk towards the rollercoaster Xavier picked for us to go on.

"You don't mind holding our stuff?" I ask Christine, once we get to the line for the ride.

"Of course not." She says, taking our phones and wallets.

"See you guys after the ride." Blake says, as he and Christine walk off.

Xavier and I have to stand in line for a little bit because of how long it is. The pier was a lot busier than I would have guessed, but I mean it is the end of September and a saturday.

"Since this friday it seems like only you and I don't have plans, do you want to go to the game together?" Xavier asks.

Damn, we really are about to spend some time together this week. "Sure, I just have to help Christine get ready for her date with Blake then we can meet up at the school or one of our houses."

"I can pick you up from your house before the game after you get home from Christine's." Xavier suggests.

"Okay, I'll just text you when I'm leaving her house."

"Have you heard anything else about Nathan's party?" He asks.

"No, but I will most likely during the week from Zoe or someone else. I'll tell you what I find out."

"Okay, we can either go there after the game or someone else's party."

"Sounds like a plan." I say, as we walk and end up at the front of the line.

Before every rollercoaster I always get anxious and the adrenaline starts to kick in. We sit in the cart side by side, and then the employee comes and locks the bars so we can't fall out.

Xavier looks over to me and grabs my hands, which results in the shocks and me nervous again because he's holding my hand. The ride starts and we go through a loop-d-loop, and two big drops. Once it ends, we both get out of the cart, Xavier guiding me out with his hand on the bottom of my back, then getting out himself.

"My hair probably looks a mess." I say, trying to smooth it down. I would have put it into a ponytail but I don't have a hair tie.

"You're hair looks beautiful." He says, as we walk around trying to find Christine and Blake.

We spot them sitting on a bench sharing ice cream, and laughing with each other. You can really see the happiness in both their eyes and I can't wait to have a relationship like that one day.

As we reach them, I turn around and see Chloe and Aidan approaching us too. "How was the ride?" Christine asks, handing Xavier and I our belongings

"Fun." I say, looking down at my phone, checking my notifications.

"Hey guys." Chloe says, standing next to Xavier and I, Aidan right beside her.

"What do you guys want to do now?" Xavier asks us.

"We should find Lucy and Grayson then play some games and go on some more rides." Blake suggests, us all agreeing to the plan.

Xavier calls Lucy and tells her where we are. A few minutes later they finally find us and we all go and play more carnival games.

Xavier, Grayson and I won once, Blake won a few times, and Aidan won the rest of the games we played. Chloe had so many little stuffed animals that one employee gave her a trash bag to hold them all in.

"Wow, it's already 10:30." I say, looking down at my watch.

"Let's go on the ferris wheel then back to the hotel." Christine tells us, then yawns, indicating just how tired she is.

We walk over to the ferris wheel and stand in the line for a few minutes, then split the group. Since everyone is a couple now in this group, they all wanted to go alone leaving Xavier and I to go together, which I don't mind at all.

We get into the ferris wheel carts, and I sit across from him. For the first full rotation we carry a light conversation, and just take in the beautiful view of the ocean and Santa Monica.

I suddenly start to realize how cold it is and shiver slightly. "Come here." Xavier says, watching me.

I move to him, and he puts an arm around my shoulders and I lean into him. His body heat immediately warms me up and causes goosebumps to rise on my skin.

We get to the top of the ferris wheel and it stops, which it does for everyone once they reach the top. I turn and look at Xavier, and he looks deep in my eyes and it felt like when we first ran into each other, as though we are alone in the world.

His eyes flicker to my lips then back to my eyes, and before he can kiss me, Christine, in the cart in front of us, screams my name. I look away and she asks, "Do you know what movies are playing in the theatres right now?"

"No, sorry." I say, and then the ferris wheel starts to move again.

Xavier groans. "What's wrong?" I ask him.

"Nothing." He says, slightly irritated.

The cart comes to a stop, and we get out and walk over to the rest of the group that is waiting for us. We leave the pier and I walk over to Christine.

"He was going to kiss me." I whisper to her.

"WHAT?" She says loudly, causing everyone to turn to us.

I laugh it off, and she does the same, causing everyone to turn back around and continue their conversations.

"Yeah, but then you kind of interrupted us." I tell her. I'm not mad at her because she couldn't have known what was happening, but Xavier seems to be slightly pissed.

"Ohhhh nooooo. Girl I am so sorry." She says, guilt written on her face.

"You're fine." I tell her. We continue to talk about spirit week that starts on Monday, and other things.

We get back to the hotel, and all decide to hang out in the guys room. "We're going to change first." Lucy tells the boys, as we walk into our room.

We all change into shorts or leggings and t-shirts. We decide to not wear shoes over and just socks. Once we are all ready we go over to the boys room, and sit in various places around the room.

Chloe and Aidan sit together on one of the beds, with Lucy and Grayson sitting together at the bottom of it. Christine sits on the chair in the corner by the window, and Blake sits on the window sill next to her. Xavier and I sit next to each other on the bed opposite to where Chloe, Aidan, Grayson, and Lucy are.

Xavier seems to no longer be mad, as he lightly laughs with everyone and has a set smile on his face, causing me to smile too. We all talk and joke around for about a hour, then everyone gets into their own conversations.

"Want to go out onto the balcony?" Xavier asks. I nod my head, and we stand from the bed and walk outside.

Once we get outside, the view is beautiful. We can see the pool and the ocean all from the balcony. While the girls and I balcony view is just the parking lot of the hotel.

Xavier turns to me, and I look at him. He smiles and says, "I want to take you out. Like on a real date."

"Really?" I say, shocked. I never really imagined that we would ever actually date.

"Yeah, and I want to soon."

"We can make Homecoming a date." I suggest.

"Well that was the plan from day one between Blake and I." He tells me.

"What? Christine, Lucy, and I had the same exact plan." I tell him, shocked that they were planning the same thing we were.

"We can go out to dinner tomorrow after shopping, that can count as a date." I tell him.

"Okay, but we are going somewhere nice, so I'll drop you off then pick you up around 7." He tells me.

"Okay." I say, as I start to plan everything for tomorrow night. Chloe can help me pick out an outfit. Christine can do my hair and I'll have to shower tomorrow before we go to the mall.

I look over to Xavier, and see him studying my face. I look into his eyes and think 'screw it' as I lean up and kiss him. The moment we kiss, the shocks were more powerful than when we just touch hands. His hand cups my cheek and his other pulls me closer by the bottom of my back. I put my hands around his neck.

We pull away, and I stare at him with wide eyes. That was better than any other boy I've kissed, and even if I haven't kissed many, they don't compare to this one. Xavier mirrors my expression, both of us shocked by that kiss.

"Well that was so much better than I could have imagined."

"Agreed." I say.

"We should get back inside." He suggests, grabbing my hand as I follow him back inside.

We get back inside to see Lucy and Grayson asleep on one of the beds, Christine and Blake talking on the other one and Chloe and Aidan gone.

"Hey, Chloe and Aidan are sleeping in the other room." Christine says. She sees my flushed face and raises an eyebrow.

I wink back to her and it's as though that answered what she was thinking because then she starts to smile like crazy. She stands up, grabs my hand and pulls me from Xavier.

"We are going to go to bed," she fakes a yawn, "goodnight!" We then leave, both giggling and walk into our room.

Chloe and Aidan are laying on the bed watching TV, and look over to us when we walk in. "Why are you guys so happy?" Chloe asks.

"Xavier and Amelia kissed." Christine squeals causing Chloe to jump up and run over to us.

"SHUT UP." She screams, causing Aidan to wince at how loud she is.

"Oh that's not all. We are going on an actual date tomorrow after the mall." I say still smiling.

"We have to plan this all out. I can be there to do your hair, and Chloe can do your makeup. Then we will pick out an outfit. I'm thinking something with red because that's a sexy color. You'll have to shower before you go." Christine says, as we all listen to her.

"I'm soo excited." Chloe says, as Christine agrees with her.

I just laugh with how ridiculous they are acting, but I understand it. We all calm down, and Chloe and Aidan sleep in the one bed as Christine and I are to sleep in the other one.

As I walk out of the bathroom after brushing my teeth, Christine looks up from her phone. "Hahah, you wouldn't be mad if I sleep over with Blake right?"

"No, not at all. But where will Xavier sleep then?" As if to answer my question, someone knocks on the door.

I open it to reveal Xavier, in basketball shorts and a t-shirt. Christine walks past us, "Goodnight." "Night." I say back to her.

I let Xavier come in, and walk over to the bed. "I can sleep on the floor if you don't want to sleep together." He says to me.

"Don't be ridiculous. Plus it's not like this is the first time we've shared a bed." I say to him.

I lay on one side of the bed, and he gets in right next to me. "I heard the girls and you talking about what happened earlier." Xavier tells me.

I blush and laugh, "Yeah, they got very excited."

Xavier leans around me, and kisses me quickly. I blush and turn and plug my phone in.

He turns off the light, then wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me into his chest. I relax in his arms, and soon I fall asleep.
