Three weeks later

After I was cleared from the doctors about two weeks ago, I was able to go back to my normal routine of school and hanging out with everyone again.

Christine, Zoe, Lucy, and I all decided to go prom dress shopping immediately once I got cleared. Lucy had a meltdown about her dress size changing with the baby bump she has, now being six months pregnant. We calmed her down as much as we could and she ended up getting a dress that was flowy enough to slightly hide the bump.

Now prom is just a week and a half away. That means Xavier and Blake are now just getting their tuxedos. We came with them and their moms, Dana and Emily.

Chrtistine and I were needed here to make sure the ties and everything match our dresses, since we decided to make them wait to see them.

"What about this Amelia?" Xavier asks, walking out in an all black tux with a black dress shirt and a dark blue tie that matches my dresses color perfectly.

I'm speechless for a second before getting out, "um yeah! You look really good in that."

Dana laughs at my expression and Xavier smiles down at me as I blush.

"Alright, let me do some alterations and then it will be ready for pick up in about a week." The sales associate tells us.

"That works!" Dana says, following the sales associate to the register as I walk up to Xavier as he checks out the tux in the mirror.

"You know, soon I'll will be back to get a tux for our wedding." He says, turning from looking in the mirror and down at me.

I roll my eyes. "You might have to reuse this tux with how expensive weddings become."

"Hey! That will my day. I refuse to rewear this cheap tux." He says, mocking bridezillas.

"Cheap? That tux is like two hundred dollars."

"Sorry babe. I'm an expensive man, and my needs need to be fulfilled."

I laugh and swat his chest. "Oh I know."

"Yeah. Wait? Do you actually think I'm high maintenance?" He gives me a confused look that causes me to laugh harder.

"Oh baby! I know you are." I joke with him, as the sale associate comes back over to do the alterations

He gives me a quick kiss before I walk away to where Christine is looking at ties.

"Can you believe we will be doing this again but for our weddings next?" I say, as I stand besides her.

"I know, and with the way Xavier is talking, it seems you guys might be getting married before your dad and Amanda." She jokes, and I give her a fake laugh.

"But seriously, just the way Xavier is so determined to marry you is cute and a little unsettling."

"Unsettling?" I ask her, not knowing what she means.

"I mean we're eighteen and he's ready to settle down and have the whole white picket fence house, three kids, and the golden retriever." She explains.

"I don't know all that... we don't have to have the kids any time soon." I tell her.

"Plus, remember what you want versus what I want has always been so different." I add.

"I know, but just know if you ever need to run away, I'll drive." I laugh and she winks back.

"What are you two talking about?" Emily asks, after she pays for Blakes tux.

"Just the future." Christine answers.

Prom night

"Okay! Okay! Everyone set up for pictures." My mom says, shuffling everyone to the backyard of Xavier's house.

Since we all loved how the hoco pictures came out, we decided to use the Kings backyard again.

Mom and Jason flew down from San Fran and are staying over at dads for the night. Then all of us going to prom are staying over at Xaviers since we all want to go to the after party some senior is throwing.

"Ooo, you girls all just look so beautiful!" Christines mom says, making us all smile wider.

"And you boys look handsome too." Christines dad adds.

We continue to take photos, some with just the girls then just the boys and the couples and lasty a group photo.

"We should get going now." I say, as I finish taking pictures with my mom and dad.

"You're right." Dad says, giving me a hug.

"Mom! Don't cry!" I say, hugging her as her eyes continue to tear up.

"My baby girl is growing up. Next thing is you'll be off to college and moving away." She says, as Jason pats her back in a soothing way.

"Mom, I'll always be within reach." I pull away as she kisses my forehead.

"I know." She says, then leans into Jason.

Xavier then comes up behind me and I look up at him, smiling. He really looks good in that tux.

"Aww, look at them!" Mom gushes to Jason.

This just makes me blush again.

"Alright you guys will be late if you don't get a move on now!" Xavier's dad shouts to us all.

"Bye mom, dad, Jason, Amanda." I wave to them and am ushered off by Xavier.

We all decided to take separate cars and then meet back up in the parking lot of the venue.

Xavier opens the door to his Jeep for me, and helps me in. He then jogs around the car and gets in on his side.

We follow behind Blake and Christine. Grayson and Lucy decided to skip prom and just go to a really fancy restaurant in Malibu and staying in Blakes family beach house.

It was sad because we really wanted Lucy here but it hurt Lucy to not be able to hide her baby bump in her dress and it was causing her a great amount of anxiety. Also Lucy couldn't go to the party and didn't want to go home alone and get sad about having to miss out.

We pull up to the venue and park next to Blake and Christine. Xavier helps me out again, and then we go and wait in line to enter.

Once in, we had to find our table and wait for dinner to be served. With Lucy and Grayson dropping out of prom, we had Zoe and her date, Andrew, join our table.

Christine sat beside me and Zoe was next to Blake.

"So, have you guys committed anywhere yet?" Andrew asks us.

"No, but I think I'm staying in California. Have you?" I ask him.

Xavier squeezes my hand under the table, and I look over to see him smiling. This is the first time I've said outloud that I'll be staying in California for school.

I really just couldn't see myself across the country from my family, friends, and Xavier. Christine and I both have gotten accepted into UCLA, and we unspokingly agreed to go there together.

"Yeah, I just committed to University of Washington! I'm going there to play basketball..." Andrew continued to spend the time until our food came to talk about his scholarship and basketball, as we just nodded and asked small questions.

Once dinner was served, we all ate in a comfortable silence, murmuring to each other how good the food was. Then we had to wait for our plates to be cleared from the table before we could go dance.

Christine, Zoe, and I all slipped off our heals and follow our dates onto the dance floor. Mostly upbeat songs played, and then when a slow song would play we would all dance respectively with our dates.

The last song of the night was a slow song, like usual. Playing was 'Turning Page' by Sleeping At Last.

"You know," I start, as Xavier and I slow dance, "we don't have a song."

"Have a song?" He asks.

"Yeah! Like a song that's our song, it's special to us." I try to explain.

He smiles down at me. "What about this song?"

I laugh, "No, not this song. Our life is already too much like the twilight saga."

He laughs too, and I lay my head on his chest as we continue to slow dance to the rest of the song.

Two hours later

"Christine! Get down from there!" Blake shouts up to us as we dance on the top of some random ledge.

"Make me!" She winks to him and he pulls her leg which causes her to fall. He catches her bridal style and walks away as she laughs and smacks his chest.

"Now, are you going to come down anytime soon?" Xavier asks me, standing right in front of my feet.

"Come up here!" I say, grabbing his hand.

"I'm too tall!"

"Aww, that's not my fault."

He smiles up to me, and then I jump down.

"Where did they head off to?" I aks him, as Blake and Christine are no longer in the basement.

"Home. Which we should be doing as well." Xavier says, wrapping an arm around my waist.

I roll my eyes but nod, the party was dying down now that it was 1 am. I follow Xavier up the steps and out of the house and down the street to him car.

He holds to door open for me and I thank him. Christine and Blake took a different car and only Christine and I drank, but only one drink.

The ride to Xaviers, he keeps his hand on my thigh as I stare out the window thinking of everything that's happened in just the last 7 months.

Meeting Xavier, him meeting all of my family and vice versa, and just being able to fall in love with someone.

We reach his house and walk in, and straight to his room. We had to house to ourselves since his parents went on a weekend getaway with Blake, and Graysons parents.

I take off my jeans and tank top, then taking the shirt Xavier offers and put it on with a pair of pajama shorts. Xavier strips down to just his boxers.

We climb in bed together, and cuddle. It's then that I feel something poke my back.

"Xavier!" I laugh as I start to blush.

"What?"

"You know what."

"Oh, sorry. I mean whenever I see you change in front of me it happens."

I laugh again, and then turn to face him. I lean up and start to kiss him, and he quickly responds with pulling me on top of him.

I grind down, which causes me to break the kiss and moan. Xavier looks up at me, "god you're beautiful."

He recaptures my lips in his, and then turns us over so he is on top.

He pulls away, looking into my eyes. "How far do you want to go?"

"I wanna go all the way with you, please." I look at him desperately. If we were not in this situation right now, I would be very much embarrassed by my desperation.

"Are you sure? I know you're a virgin."

"Yes, yes. I'm very sure!" I knew I was sure the minute I met him, and especially after I found out we were mates.

Xavier kisses me again, and slowly starts to undress me.

"You really are beautiful." He says, as he stares at my naked body, which starts to make me self concious.

I've never been so naked or vulnerable to someone before.

He kisses my lips, and then continues a trail of kisses to my breast, then down to my inner thighs.
