"Zoe can you take our picture real quick." Christine asks, as we stand by our cars.

It was the end of the day, and with today being Tuesday it was twin day. Christine and I decided to twin.

I was wearing a white and thin black striped shirt and a blue jean skirt with a black belt and white and black converse. Christine was wearing a black and thin white striped shirt with a darker blue jean skirt and the same shoes and belt as me.

"Sure." She says.

Zoe takes the picture, "Thanks! I'll see you tomorrow in calc."

"No problem! See you tomorrow." She walks towards her car.

"How did everything go with Blake?" I ask Christine.

"Good, he told me about his family and him being a you know what."

"Are you guys going to the game this Friday now?"

"Yeah, are you and Xavier?"

"I think so. I'll see you tomorrow in gym."

"Bye girl!" Christine then gets into her car.

Chloe finally come to my car after about 5 minutes. I drive us home, and the minute we get there it seems my nerves have kicked in.

Tonight we are going over to Xavier's to talk to his parents about what my mom told us yesterday. I really wish I had a parent to come with me, but I understand they can't know about werewolves.

Chloe and I walk inside and I go up to my room. I walk in and lay on my bed and scroll through my phone. Thankfully tonight I don't have any homework to do.

Xavier texts me saying, 'You guys can come over at any time tonight. Just text me when you're on your way.'

I text him back an 'Okay'. I decide to wait until my dad comes home and we have dinner before we leave.

——-

"Where are you girls going again?" My dad asks, as we clean up dinner.

"Xavier's, everyone's hanging out there tonight for a little bit." I explain, only lying a little.

"Okay, just be home by 9:30." That doesn't seem too hard to do, considering it is only 5:30 now.

I text Xavier that we're on our way and Chloe and I go out to my car. It takes us about 20 minutes to get to his house because he lives on the other side of town.

We get out and go to Xavier's front door and I ring the doorbell. He answers it, and let's us come in. Suddenly, I am very nervous again.

He holds my hand, and leads Chloe and I to the living room. In there is Xavier's parents, Aidan, and Aidan's parents. Xavier and I sit on one couch with Aidan and Chloe, opposite to their parents.

"Hi girls!" Xavier's mom, Dana, greets.

"Hi." "Hey."

"Okay, so what did you guys learn about your family?" Aidan's dad, Luke, asks.

"We were talking to our mom and asking if we had any supernatural family members, saying we are watching this one show about it. She said that her grandmother would tell stories that Chloe and my great great grandparents were 'healers' and 'protectors' for injured werewolves." I explain.

"In this area?" Aidan's mom, Emily, asks.

"Yes. Supposedly there was a war in the late 1800s between two packs and they were on ones side and would help those who were wounded." Chloe explains.

"Wait. Does the last name O'Reilly ring a bell?" Xavier's dad, Andrew, asks.

Oh my god. "That's their last name." I tell them.

"What was their first names?" Andrew asks, with a shocked look.

"Adelaide and Henry." Chloe tells him.

"Okay. In the late 1800s/ early 1900s, a war between our pack and a rival pack took place. We wanted to live in harmony with humans, but the other pack did not. To win this fight, we needed to call in some people to help us. Two of those people were healers that could heal us with their powers and create shields to protect us. They were Henry and Adelaide O"Reilly." Andrew tells us.

"Do you know anything about how this is passed down?" Luke asks.

"Our mom said that it skips generations at a time and only the girls inherit it. Our grandmother said that we would be the next ones to inherit it." I say.

"That is correct." Andrew confirms.

"So...this is all true? We are these 'healers'?" Chloe asks.

"It seems to be. I'm surprised you guys have never discovered your abilities sooner. They usually start around when someone is 15 or 16 years old." Emily tells us.

"Well our parents don't believe it. The only one who did was our great grandmother who passed away when I was young, our grandmother might believe it, but we've never talked to her about it." I tell them.

"We know some healers that live in Oregon. We should take a trip up there as soon as possible." Dana says.

I don't know how they expect us to go to Oregon with them without our parents knowing the real reason for this trip. "We are going to see my mom soon, to see what she has of our great great grandparents, and to ask our grandmother what she knows about them." I tell them.

"You should take Aidan and Xavier, they will know what to look for." Andrew suggests.

"Yeah, we will go." Xavier says.

"Of course." Aidan agrees.

"Okay, we will just have to see when we can go up, but we are hoping in two weeks." Chloe tells them.

"Alright girls, just remember that what you are is a gift and don't be afraid of the powers you have. They may come in handy." Andrew says, as we stand up to leave.

"It was nice seeing you girls again." Dana says, giving Chloe and I a hug.

"Goodnight guys." Emily and Luke say, as they leave first.

"Goodnight." Andrew and Dana say before they go upstairs.

"I'm going to say goodbye to Aidan." Chloe says, then her and Aidan both walk outside.

I turn to Xavier, "this is crazy."

"I know this is all shocking, but you will come to understand the powers you have." He tells me.

"My mom is going to freak when she meets you, you know." I say, as I realize that Xavier will be meeting my mom soon.

"Hopefully she loves me as much as my mom loves you. You know my mom wants you to come over for dinner soon." He tells me.

"I'll take her up on that offer. Are you going to the game Friday?"

"Yeah, also Blake said he and Christine are going too."

"She told me after school they are. Also, everyone is going to Nathans, so we will just go to that party." I tell him.

"Nathan is obsessed with you."

"What?"

"Yeah, everyday in the locker room before gym, he talks about how much he wants to ask you to prom and shit." Xavier says, and I can clearly tell how jealous he is.

"Who cares, he and everyone else will know we are together when we show up to homecoming." I say, trying to calm him down.

He just smiles at me, "goodnight Amelia."

He gives me a kiss on the lips, then we walk out to my car. Also where Aidan and Chloe are full on making out.

"Chloe!" I say, wanting to have never witness that. The one thing I did not need to see in my lifetime is my sister making out with her boyfriend.

She giggles as they pull away. Aidan says goodnight, then kisses her on the forehead and walks to his car then drives away.

I turn to Xavier, "Goodnight."

He gives me one last kiss, before I get into my car and drive away, as he watches from his doorstep.

Chloe and I make it home, and go inside. We quickly realize my dad is asleep, so we go to our own bedrooms. I get ready for bed, then go on my phone for a bit.

I still can not believe that the story my mom told me, that I would have never believed, is actually true. Also that Xavier is going to meet my mom in about two weeks. This is all happening so fast.
