Adrian's pov:

All the boys glanced at me before looking at Nina. She looked calmed for some reasons.

"You may proceed Sir." She answered.

What the heck was she doing? If her mom denied it, we will be suspended for good.

"Alright then." Mr Walter said picking up the school telephone. He dialled the number which he found in the files and waited for Nina's mother to pick up.

"I'm going to put it on speaker once she picks up. If she denied it you will be suspended." Mr. Walter said, "even you Miss Perez.".

Nina didn't look affected at all. She stood there looking blankly at the telephone.

"Hello?" A voice said.

"Hello, Mrs Perez?" Mr Walter said.

"Yes, how can I help you?" The lady asked.

"Actually I'm Mr. Walter, your daughter's principal." He said.

"Oh yeah, what happens is Nina okay?" She asked worriedly.

"Yeah, she is fine. I just wanted you to confirm something for me. Something happened in school and your daughter is one of the witnesses of the offender." He said and I clenched my fist.

Offender my ass!

"Okay, what do I have to confirm?" She asked calmly.

"Two nights ago, did Nina's friends spent the night at your house?" Mr. Walter asked looking directly at us.

"Her friends?" She asked.

That's it. We are done. She was going to deny it.

"Yeah-"

"I'm here too!" Colton said loudly before Mr. Walter could finish.

"Hi, Colton. And yeah Mr. Walter her friends were over. I did make them dinner as they were watching some movies." She confirmed it. I looked at the guys and they looked relieved.

"Ok, thank you, Mrs. Perez." Mr. Walter said.

"You're welcome." She said and hang up.

"Well seems like you were right and I was wrong." Mr. Walter sighed, "I take back everything I said. You are free to go but we will keep an eye on you."

We walked out of the principal office and walked into the hall.

"Oh my god. That was close." Landon said and we chuckled.

"Yeah, thanks to Nina," Blake said and she nodded.

"No problem." She smiled.

"But how did you convince your mom to lie?" Landon asked and she chuckled.

"She didn't lie. Whatever she said was true." She answered making us confused. Colton smirked and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

"So you were with her?" Blake asked confused.

"Only during the evening." Colton shrugged.

"Are you two a thing?" I couldn't help but ask. They both looked at each other and laughed.

"Guys, let me introduce you to my favourite human being and my favourite partner in crime.... my cousin." He smirked.

"Wait what? She is your cousin?" Blake asked and they both nodded.

"He did spend all evening at my house and I did have a movie marathon with my friends. Eva and Amy. My mom did cook dinner for us that night so she didn't lie. She just thought that the principal was talking about Colton, Eva, and Amy." She explained.

"Why didn't you tell us you have a cousin?" Landon asked and Colton shrugged.

"It's too dangerous for her," Colton replied and we immediately understand what he meant.

"Anyway, thank you," I said and she looked at me. Her beautiful hazel eyes looking in my dark blue eyes.

"It's okay." She said, "but what are you going to do now? Do you know the real culprit?"

"Nah... and it's none of our business so we will let it go," Blake answered and she frowned.

"Are you being serious right now?" She asked confused.

"What do you mean?" I asked curiously.

"Well. Someone clearly tried to trap you guys by doing all these." She stated.

"How can you be so sure?" Colton asked.

"Well from what you told me... there were 4 guys, right? They knew exactly where to run off. They only show their back and it was enough for the principal to blame you all." She explained and everything she was saying make sense. She was right. Why didn't we thought about that?

"Anyway, I need to go to class bye." She said as she started to walk away from us.

"She got point here," Blake stated.

"Yeah, but who can it be?" Landon asked confused.

"How about we hack the security camera and get a hold on the footage. Maybe we might recognize them." I suggested and they nodded.

"I'll work on it. We'll get the footage by the end of the day." Colton said.

"Now that this is over. Let's go to the field." Blake said.
