Adrian's pov:

(Dream)

My eyes opened and I looked around. I was in my room and it was raining heavily outside. Despite the loud thunders outside, I could hear my mom's screaming from her room.

I was scared to move. I gripped my blanket tightly and hoped everything would eventually calm down. I heard loud footsteps coming near my bedroom's door and the door opened. My mom run in and pulled the blanket off.

"Let's go, Adrian. Mommy came to take you." She said as she grabbed my hand. I stood up and let her dragged me downstairs.

"Elena where are you going? Why is Adrian with you?" I heard dad said but mom dragged me outside to her car. The rain-soaked my pyjama and as soon as I sat down, mom turned on the heater. She sat in the driver seat and drove away, leaving my dad alone.

"Mom, where are we going?" I asked scared.

"Somewhere safe sweety." Her soft voice answered.

"I'm scared," I admitted looking at the rains drops on my window.

"Don't be afraid sweety, mommy is with you," she reassured me, "and even if I'm not present physically near you, know that I'm always with you. I'll stay in your heart."

"I love you, mommy," I said looking at her. I saw her smiling before she glanced at me.

"I love you too baby. I will always love you." She smiled.

"Promised?" I asked insecurely.

"I'm always with you baby. You don't have to be afraid of anyone. Now, try to get some sleep. I will wake you up when we will reach." She said and I nodded.

I closed my eyes and let myself fell asleep. When I woke up, I was in the hospital on a bed. I looked around and found dad near the bed, his eyes red.

"Daddy?" I asked confused.

"Adrian, you're awake. Are you okay?" He asked as he ran to my side.

"Yes daddy I'm good. Where is mommy? Why am I here?" I asked looking around. There was a big needle in my hand but it wasn't attached to anything. Dad remained silent and a tear fell down his cheeks.

"Daddy?" I frowned.

"Let's go for a walk Adrian, I'll show you your mom in a few minutes." He said and I nodded. We both walked out of the room and we walked around. I was getting impatient and I wanted to see my mom.

"Daddy? Can we go see mom now? I want to meet her." I whined and he sighed.

"Let's go then." He said sadly.

We walked to another room and it was cold. Dad talked to the guard and said my mother name. Elena Ross. The guard walked us to some locker and I frowned.

Where isย  mommy?

Dad nodded at the guy and he walked away. Dad pulled out one of the locker's handle and I gasped, my eyes widening.

Mom was laying there, sleeping. She was only covered with a white sheet. She had many bruises covering her cute face and had some stitched on her neck.

"Mommy?" I murmured, my eyes tearing.

"Mommy left us, son, she went near god and she is better there," Dad said lowly.

"No, no, she can't leave me. She promised she will always be by my side." I said looking at my mom's sleeping figure. But then I remembered, mom never promised me anything. She didn't say the words when I ask her to.

"She's not here son, she left and the sooner you accept it, the better it will be," Dad said emotionlessly.

"NO! NO! SHE CAN'T LEAVE-NO COME BACK, YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME!"

I felt someone shake my shoulder and I opened my eyes, gasping for air. I instantly sat down, looking around. Nina cupped my face, making me look at her.

"Relax, you're okay. Breath." She said looking at me concerned. I closed my eyes and breath in and out, calming myself.

It's been so long since I dream about my mom. So long since I had seen her face, heard her voice and feel her. It felt painfully good. I wished it wasn't a dream and that she was really here with me. I would give anything for her to come back. I missed her soo much. I felt a thumb on my cheeks, pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked at Nina and she was waiting for me to talk. She was wearing the top, she put after showering.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked lowly.

"I-it was my mom. I- I saw her. It was the same day she died." I replied, my voice cracking at the end. Was I crying?

"Do you have this nightmare regularly?" She asked and I shake my head no.

"It's been so long since I dream of her. It felt painfully good though. I got to talk with her, to touch her, to see her." I said smiling weakly.

Nina didn't really say anything but instead, she kneel beside me, wrapped her arms around my shoulder and pull me on her. That was all I needed. A hug. I wrapped my arms tightly around her waist, my head on her chest.

"I know how it feels to lose someone you were really close to. Unfortunately, we can't do anything but accept it and move on. No matter how painful it can be." She said lowly.

"Your dad?" I dared asked.

"Yeah, I was only 5 years old when he died." She said.

We stayed silent for some good minutes before I pulled away from her.

"I'm really sorry I woke you up," I said and she rolled her eyes.

"Stop, you don't have to apologize. I told you I'll be here if you need me." She said and I smiled.

"I know yesterday was too soon to confess my feelings but I'm going to say it again right now." I said looking at her," I fucking love you."

I wasn't expecting any reply from her since I know she doesn't love me yet. However, I was caught off guard when she throws herself on me, hugging me tightly.

"Believe it or not, but you already got me falling for you. I love you too." She murmured in my neck. With one hand I cupped her face and crashed my lips on her.

That's all I needed...
