Since morning, Heena and Advait were busy teasing me and continuously pointed out that I was glowing. Even Shaurya mentioned about it and asked me the reason behind it. I controlled myself from blushing but failed badly. They got the hint, and Shaurya was happy, but Heena and Advait didn't leave me alone in the office too.

Last night was awesome - and really wonderful. I was glad that my husband and I were on the same boat, and the feelings were mutual. He didn't panic or run away like I feared him to. He had started doing some of his work at home and his doctor had allowed him to hit the gym too.

While thinking about last night, I did my work and left to go to Raghuveer's firm in the afternoon. Just like I had suggested him, he had a video conference with Lokesh and Himesh and called them up for the new project deal. And like I had planned, Geeta tagged along.

Once I reached Raghuveer's office, I went directly to the meeting room and greeted Geeta, who hugged me and asked me about my well being. Himesh stared at us intently, while Lokesh was busy browsing through the various catalogues.

Unlike Himesh, Lokesh had become comfortable around me and didn't suspect me of anything. And it was all thanks to Geeta only. She invited me a lot over to her place and in the parties she held. But Himesh was still wary of me.

I had decided that today I would take care of him too. He was a really cunning man and hadn't yet dropped his guard. He might be smart, but his ego was far bigger than his brain. I just had to act like they wanted, and my work would become hundred times simpler.

"Good morning, everyone. Thank you for coming to the meeting. Let's start with the presentation," Raghuveer greeted and got on with work without wasting any more time.

Geeta sat down beside her husband, and I took my seat with my team members. Raghuveer explained about the luxury apartments and the project's pipeline. Himesh asked him some doubts and cleared his queries. Raghuveer put the offer in front of him, and the men thought about it.

"May I say something if you all don't mind?" I asked.

"Sure, go ahead." Raghuveer nodded.

I glanced at Lokesh and Himesh and gave them a polite smile. "I think since our esteemed clients are here and are already aware of getting one of these flats at a lower price, I was thinking about gifting them one more flat each as a complimentary gift."

Himesh's eyes widened, and Lokesh also looked at me in surprise, but Geeta squealed in joy and told her husband that it was a great offer. Raghuveer shot me a curious look, and I gave him a short nod, assuring him that I wasn't bluffing.

"What's the reason behind gifting us such expensive flats?" Himesh inquired.

"There is no particular reason, Himesh Sir." I smiled and saw his lips twitch upwards at the word 'Sir'.

"Come on, Himesh bhaisahab. Why are you refusing? What's the harm in getting a free house?" Geeta complained.

"She is right. We are not telling you to pay the price; it's free and you already know that the property is of really high value. Even if you plan on selling them, you will get a higher return. It is a free investment," I said. "But, please, don't take my word. I am just suggesting it. If you have any doubts, you can ask Raghuveer to confirm your decision."

Himesh and Lokesh nodded, and Raghuveer told them that he would include all these details in the contract. I knew he wouldn't doubt my decision because he trusted me. I noticed that Himesh had become relaxed, and Geeta was continuously mentioning about the surprise they received.

"Well, I heard that you both are leaving abroad for some work," I said. "Could you please give us the details of your departure so we could arrange the dates of bhoomi pujan according to your schedule?"

"Our schedules? There is no need," Himesh said.

I made a sad face and glanced at Geeta. "Oh, I am really sad to hear that. We really wanted to have you guys as the chief guests, but I think we would have to ask someone else."

"Chief guests?" Geeta asked as her eyes sparked up, her husband sharing the same look.

"When is the bhoomi pujan?" Lokesh asked.

"After three weeks. If you are interested, we can prepone it if you want," Raghuveer suggested.

Himesh and Lokesh exchanged glances, and I asked them if there was some problem. I used the most sweetest of my smiles and pulled out my innocent act. Both of them looked at me to clear their suspicion, and as expected, they announced their plan of going overseas to meet some of their business partners for some confidential work.

I nodded and acted like as if I was deep in thought. After about five minutes, I looked back at them and then at Raghuveer. I asked him if he could consider my one more request, and he agreed without any protest.

"Well, I am sorry if it doesn't sound good, but how about you invite your business partners to India? I am sure they must be at top positions just like you, so it would be really great to meet them and show them our projects," I said. "But again, the decision is all yours."

Geeta tugged Lokesh's sleeve and discussed with him in a low voice. After some time, Lokesh talked to Himesh, and both men turned towards Raghuveer.

"Well, we like the idea, but our business partners are really demanding. They won't waste their time coming here if they won't see any benefit in it," Himesh said.

"Hmmm... then how about we offer them some deals? There are various projects going on right now, and as you already know, Raghuveer's firm is one of the top ones. Owning a property in India doesn't sound that bad, right?" I manipulated.

As if a bulb lit up inside Himesh, he cracked a huge smile and convinced Lokesh into following my plan. I added that the idea wasn't all mine, and I learned it while working with Raghuveer and their clients only. It made both men overly excited, and they thanked Raghuveer for particularly inviting them to the meeting.

I smiled inwardly as my plan worked, and everyone got up after the meeting was adjourned, except Himesh and Lokesh; they had stayed behind to discuss some details.

Geeta chatted with me and thanked me multiple times as she said that she was going to register the complimentary house on her daughter's name. I smiled at her, and once they left, I re-entered the meeting room amd took my phone from the table. I stopped the audio recording.

"You done, Reyna?" Raghuveer asked.

"Yes."

"Thank you for convincing them. You were really good today."

"I should be thanking you for considering my suggestions without doubting." I smiled. "By the way, you are coming for the brunch, right?"

He nodded and asked me how Yuvaan was. I told him to see it for himself when he came for the family brunch I had organised to celebrate Yuvaan's return to his work. Raghuveer grinned and promised me that he would be on time.

After taking care of work there, I left to go to my home. Once I got inside my car, I plugged in the earphones and played the audio recording. Himesh and Lokesh didn't know that I had purposely left my phone in the meeting room and the recording was still on while they discussed about me.

I smirked as the recording played.

"Are you sure she isn't pulling some stunt?" Himesh asked.

"Well... I am sure she isn't. You saw yourself, no? It has been ten years already, and if she really wanted to do something, she would have done by now. There is no need to worry. And as for the proposal, it is a jackpot. We can easily cash out of those flats, and I am hundred percent sure that Raghuveer would consider us first in the next project too," Lokesh said.

"Yeah, you are right. She was suggesting everything, but Raghuveer had no problem with whatever she was saying. I am sure she must have gotten those ideas from him only. She also said the same thing, right?" Himesh pondered.

"Yup."

"Cool then. I was worrying over nothing. That bastard Dinesh is already weak, and no matter how much he earns, he won't dare to even look at us in the eyes. So why should be afraid of his daughter?"

I stopped the recording and exited the car when I reached my home. I gave my belongings to one of the maids and asked her if she had prepared the ingredients for dinner. She nodded and left to put my things in my room. Before going to the kitchen, I checked on Yuvaan and went to get refreshed after seeing that he was well.

After getting ready, I prepared dinner and other snacks for brunch. Meanwhile, Grace Nana called up everyone and informed me that they were on their way. In one and a half hour, I was done, and the maids set up the dining table as I took some rest.

One by one, our guests arrived, and I squeezed Arman when I saw him. His girlfriend, Neeya, gave me the gifts she had bought, and soon, my best friends also arrived. After them, Advait, Heena, Shaurya, and Raghuveer also came and made themselves comfortable.

Advait thanked Raghuveer for not bringing his annoying fiance with him, and Raghuveer gave him an awkward look. Heena pulled Advait away from Raghuveer and scolded him. Shaurya conversed with his sister's fiance and told him not to stress too much on what Advait said.

"Thank you for coming, guys," Yuvaan said as he joined us.

"You done working out?" I asked.

"Not yet." He grinned and ducked down his head near my ear. "I have left some workouts for the night."

I pinched his cheek, and he moved forward to kiss me. I pushed him back and told him to focus on our guests. He sulked but did as told. He shook hands with Raghuveer and hugged his best friends and Heena. He greeted my brother and his girlfriend, while my friends teased him. Grace Nana caressed his hair and blessed him.

"Let's eat now," Heena said.

"Sure, Monkey," Yuvaan said, and everyone took their seats on the dining table.

We had a good time, and Advait made sure to keep the mood jolly. Shaurya complimented me for the food, and I thanked him. After getting our stomachs full, we went to the living room and had some drinks. Arman, Neeya, and my friends left after some time, while we continued our random conversations.

Shaurya suddenly remembered about some important files and asked me if I could sign those. I nodded, and he brought some documents from Yuvaan's study room. As Yuvaan was resting, all of the projects that had started last month were under my supervision, so my signatures were needed on all of them.

I was signing the documents, while others continued conversing when we heard a familiar voice calling Raghuveer.

"Tammy? What are you doing here?" Raghuveer asked.

I looked up and saw Tamannah standing in front of us. She stared at her fiance and then at me. She narrowed her eyes on her cousin brother and glanced over the rest of us.

"All of you are having a nice time, aren't you?" She seethed.

"We didn't invite you, so can you please leave?" Heena snapped, but Tamannah ignored her.

"Raghuveer, why didn't you tell me that you were going to be here?" she asked. "You didn't even pick up my calls!"

Raghuveer sighed and looked away. She stared at him in accusation and glimpsed at Yuvaan, who didn't look at her even once. He had put on his Bluetooth headset and was shaking his head to the music. Tamannah moved towards him, but I blocked her way.

"Don't even think about it," I warned.

"I want to talk to him," she said. "He isn't even looking at me."

"Tammy, please. Don't create a scene here and leave," Raghuveer said.

She turned towards him and fisted her hands. "And what about you? You gonna stay here? Has this girl also done her magic on you?"

Raghuveer rolled his eyes and told her to stop overreacting. Advait told her to do as told, but she cursed at him. Shaurya tried to handle the situation, but she blamed him for neglecting her.

"Don't make me shoot you," I told her.

She challenged me and stepped forward, but Shaurya pushed her back.

"Tamannah, I am saying this for the last time. Leave. Don't try my patience," he said.

Tamannah glared at him. "Really, bro? You gonna tell me to leave? Looks like there is something going on between you and this girl. Are you having an affair-"

Slap!

My eyes widened for a second when Shaurya slapped Tamannah, but she had it coming for her. Shaurya raised his hand again, and his sister flinched. She caressed her cheek and looked at him with tearful eyes. Advait almost clapped in joy, but Heena stopped him in time.

"If you badmouth Reyna again, I will seriously beat you up," he scolded. "Don't forget that I am your elder brother, and I won't hold back from beating some sense into you if you won't stop your nonsense."

Tamannah cried. "Bro, but... Yuvaan..."

"Enough, Tammy!" Raghuveer yelled. "You forgot what you did to him? I love you, but I can't ignore everything. Till now, I let you do whatever you wanted because I didn't want to seem like a burden to you, but you crossed all limits."

He got up and apologized for bursting out. He shook his head and moved away from his fiance when she tried to go near him. He told her not to follow him and left with a sullen expression. Tamannah glanced at Yuvaan and ran after Raghuveer.

"I am really sorry," Shaurya mumbled.

"It is not your fault, Shaurya, and thank you for standing up for me." I smiled.

"Of course he had to or you would have blown Tamannah's head off," Advait commented and glanced at my gun in my hand.

I pursed my lips, and Shaurya sighed in relief when I put the gun back. We all looked at Yuvaan, and he took off his headset.

"Drama over?" he asked.

"Yup." Heena nodded.

"Cool then. Feels bad that Raghuveer had to leave so early, but let's not dampen our mood. How about we play Rummy?"

We agreed and felt happy that he didn't let Tamannah's arrival affect him. Everyone retired to their rooms after playing cards, and I decided to take a long bath to relax my nerves. I got inside the bathtub and played with the soap bubbles.

I noticed Yuvaan entering the washroom and taking off his clothes. He asked me if he could join me, and I looked at him in accusation.

"I promise I won't look at your back," he said, and I nodded.

I took his hand as he closed his eyes. I guided him and giggled when he slipped while entering the bathtub. He settled behind me and kissed my neck. While washing my hair, he mentioned about Tamannah, and I told him not to bother about her before changing the topic.

"Yuvaan, how many kids do you want?" I asked.

He turned my head over and kissed my cheek. "Count the number of kisses, and you will get your answer."

I smiled as he descended his lips on mine — I forgot the count in the end.

I want to inform that I am going to my village today and would be staying there for over a month.

So, I won't be able to update that much/or not at all as I would be involved in a lot of stuff. I will try to update as much as I can, but if I am not able to, it will be because I might be stuck in one or another work.

Hope to return soon with more chapters.
