Damien

After me finding out about this girls age leaving me and Liam flabbergasted. We had to stop interrogating her since she was underage and had to wait for her legal guardians to be present. So now here we are still waiting for her mother to show up. Its been about twenty minutes now. I began to tap my thumb on the desk sitting back with my legs crossed, and Miss Black with her head on the table groaning every now and then, making me almost want to smile at the sight. I had Liam leave giving him an excuse to get started on some paperwork we needed finished. I just couldn't stand the looks he was giving Max. I just wanted to rip his eyes out.

"Miss Black I know I have to wait for your mom to show up to ask you questions but it looks to me like you won't give us anything anyways. Why?" I ask her standing up from my chair walking closer to her and sitting on the chair next to hers.

She stiffens a bit by my actions or my question I don't know.

"I don't need her here to tell you about what happened" she turns to me with pursed lips

" I do not tolerate disrespect, I'll leave it at that. What they do to me for what I did is their call" she says nonchalantly I can't read her face she looks like this doesn't affect her at all, when most people would be pleading or doing anything to get out of this situation, here she is staring into nothing waiting for what will happen to her next

"Its more of your mother's call Miss Black, looks like this was your third strike. You might end up going to a detention center"  I tell her

She nods still with her gaze to the front.

I sigh getting up and sitting back on my chair across from hers, I'm not getting any answers from this girl, I'm impressed by how tough she has been but the possessive side of me wants to take over and make her tell me everything she knows. But I cant, she's underage, I would have to wait for her mother to come, but like she said she still wouldn't tell us

I huff frustrated, "if you're not going to tell me what happened at the field or why you did it, then answer me this" she turns her head waiting for me to go on

"Was this worth your freedom?"

She looks down but quickly looks back up to me

"Yes" she says with confidence

Im a bit taken back by her answer. I always ask people this question and some stay quiet while the others begin to cry. I mean those five words are really powerful when your in one of these situations, it makes you think about what you could of done differently and not end up behind bars, but this girl right here didnt have to think twice about her answer. I continue to stare at her as if everything that I want to know about her would be displayed on her face, but its just the opposite of that she hides her emotions very well to betray a person of what she's feeling, unfortunately for her, I'm not that gullible. She can hide all that anger she has from everyone else, but what I've come to master is the art of observance. Over the past half hour that she's been detained I've seen how she'll space off pursing her lips and fisting her hands to where she'll dig her finger nails to the side of her thumbs. And I'm guessing its because of the earlier events. I sigh looking at her, I want to help her but she won't let me. What if this was self defense, what if that kid tried to touch her? I mean that's the only thing that I can think of that would set someone to feel this angry.

My jaw begins to tighten, the thought of her being manhandled infuriates me. But I have to wait until her mother is present to ask her these questions, which by the way still hasn't gotten here.
