Axel stood in the corner waiting for his dad to finish talking on the phone. He leaned against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. Dominic hung up and threw his cellphone across the room.

He swallowed uneasily. He knew his father was angry but he still approached him. He picked up his father's cellphone and saw a shattered screen.

"It's done" he mumbled, staring at the phone.

Dominic sighed and sat back in his seat. "Don't worry about it. How are you?" He asked Axel.

"I'm good..."

"How's school?"

"Not good, I'm so far behind... I need to work hard for my grades and I don't think I can get into Harvard anymore" he explained dejectedly. "Even with all the extra credits project, I won't be able to get into an Ivy League"

Dominic frowned. "When have I ever told you to work hard to get into Harvard? You're a legacy. The dean of Harvard is my friend from school"

"But still, I wanted to do this on my own" Axel mumbled

"Why are you so insecure, Axel?" Dominic asked

"I'm... I'm not insecure, dad"

"No, you are. It's like you want to prove yourself to the world. That's the reason you ran away because you wanted to prove that you were something without your father, right? It was never about that girl" Dominic leaned back in his seat and watched his son's discomfort curiously.

"Dad, I told you, I did that because I love her" Axel snapped

"Whatever helps you sleep at night" Dominic laughed

"How's Chloe?" Axel asked, it was the reason he came to his father in the first place.

Dominic's amused expression turned into a snarl. "I told you I never want to hear her name from your mouth again"

"How's that girl you're supporting?" Axel asked, and stuck his nose in the air.

Dominic gritted his teeth. "She is fine and she just moved into a new apartment somewhere less shady and she is also back in school. But if you ask about that girl one more time, I promise you she won't be fine for long!" He slammed his fists on his desk and Axel's heart clenched at his words. "Accidents happens every day, Axel"

The color drained from Axel's face. He stood up and strode out of his father's home office. He went straight to his room and slammed the door shut. Once he was alone, he broke down.

"I'm sorry, Chloe"

He pulled out his new cellphone and tried to retrieve his lost data. He needed her pictures, her number, something of hers. He sat beside his bed on the floor and stared at his room mindlessly.

He had everything... Everything he missed while he was with Chloe but at least he was contented because she was by his side. And now, even after getting everything back, he felt empty and alone. He hated it. He hated his room. He hated his cars. He wanted to go back to his little apartment... With Chloe.

"I will always love you, Chloe..."

He closed his eyes and remembered her smiling face. Her hair, her sad green eyes, her freckles. He remembered the exact number of her freckles, he used to count them whenever she was asleep. She had twenty-three freckles on her cheeks and nose in total. He loved the tiny mole on her neck. He used to kiss it all the time.

He was afraid, afraid that he might forget how she looked, afraid that he will forget her scent, the sound of her laugh, afraid that he won't remember her for long and the thought scared him.

He got up and strode out of his home. He wandered the streets alone. Recalling her face over and over again, so, that he'll never forget.

"But I live here!" She shrieked

"Not anymore, you don't!" The landlord said, unaffected by her outburst.

"Please... Please, just let me stay for the night and let me get my stuff. I will leave tomorrow, I promise!"

"Even if I wanted to let you stay, I can't! I already rented out the apartment and threw all your stuff away. I called your boyfriend a million times. He won't pick up and you were nowhere to be found. Your last month's rent was due, I thought you both ran away. I'm sorry but I sold most of your stuff and threw whatever was left." He told her nonchalantly.

"You can't do that"

"Sweetheart, it's done. I have an empty room on the roof, you're welcome to stay there for the night" saying that, he walked back into his room.

Chloe again pounded on the door.

"Now what do you want?!" The old man snapped

"Do you at least have my cellphone? I really need it" she cried

"I told you I sold everything." He sighed deeply. "Here's the key to the room. You can stay there for a night or two. There's a bathroom as well and you don't have to pay for anything, kid. But that's all I can do for you right now. My brother in law lives up there and he will be back in three days, make sure you leave before that"

"Thank you" Chloe wiped her tears.

Axel drove to school mindlessly. He got out of his car and heaved a sigh. He saw the school bus in the parking lot, he watched all the students stepping down the bus one by one. He saw Theo, Fawn, and Diana. He imagined Chloe walking with them as well. She'd always look around, searching for him and whenever their eyes would meet, she'd smile.

"Don't look at me like that whenever I'm with my friends!"

"Why?"

"Because you make me smile and then they ask me why am I smiling, what am I supposed to tell them?"

"Tell them, Axel King makes you smile"

"No!"

"Why not?"

"Then they'll ask follow up questions"

"Then tell them, you have the biggest crush on me. Say... I'm obsessed with Axel King and I might perform voodoo on him to make him love me." He laughed wholeheartedly while Chloe squinted her eyes. "I'm sure they won't even talk to you again"

"Or I should just tell them how hopelessly you're in love with me," She said making a smug face.

He nodded and bit his lower lip. "Yeah, this one sounds better"

Her smile faltered and she blushed looking anywhere but him.

He shook his head and breathed out. She isn't here anymore. It's for her own good. He'll just drag her down with him like a loser he is. She deserves all the good in the world not someone like Axel.

"Hey!" A voice startled him.

"Hey..." He said, uninterested.

He saw the same girl who has been bothering him since the day he came back.

"Kylie, right?" He asked

She frowned. "Kimberly... Kimberly Richards, head cheerleader"

"Oh..." He said and walked into the school building.

She followed him on her high heels hastily. "You look tense, Axel"

Axel frowned, he knew she wanted his attention but right now she irritated him. "I'm fine"

"If you need help with anything, I'm here, you know"

"Okay," he answered and put in his locker combination.

"I mean I know you are falling behind in school. I can help you with that" she stepped closer to him and looked up at him with thirst in her eyes.

Axel stared at her for one good minute.

"You've changed me a lot in the past few months, you know that?"

"Changed you, how?"

"For starters, I was an asshole. When I first saw you my first thought was how would you look naked and I only talked to you because I wanted to sleep with you"

"You are disgusting" she laughed

"I was but... You changed me... You make me wanna be a better person... For you"

"You are being cheesy and incredibly sweet. What do you want?" She squinted her eyes, acting suspicious.

He laughed. "You..."

"No!" She pinched his cheek.

"You see this? You turned me down and I didn't even get mad. If it was any other girl I would've thrown her out of my apartment the second she would've called me cheesy. You bring out the good in me"

He came back to the present world and saw Kimberly staring at him. "Are you okay?" She asked

"Yeah," he smirked. "You wanna go somewhere private?"

Kimberly's eyes lit up. "Yeah, sure" she shrugged

He stuffed his bag into his locker and placed a hand on Kimberly's back. "Come on"

He walked hurriedly dragging Kimberly along with him. He stopped outside of the boy's locker room.

"Why are we here?" She asked

He smiled. "So, you could help me with something. No one's inside"

She hesitated but walked in anyway. Axel came in after her and locked the door from the inside. Kimberly felt weird but ignored it. She was finally with Axel King, she shook all the other feelings away.

Axel leaned against the door and looked at her up and down. Lust swirling in his eyes. He walked closer to her slowly and involuntarily Kimberly stepped back. Axel clasped his hand around her neck and started to kiss her hungrily. Kimberly's eyes widened but she kissed him back immediately. He pushed her into the nearby wall and roamed his hands all over her body.

"Axel..." She whispered as he let go of her lips.

Axel turned her around harshly. Her front towards the wall. He gripped her neck with one hand and pulled her skirt up and held her panties to the side with the other.

"Is this what you wanted, you fucking whore?" He whispered in her ear.

"Axel, stop!" Kimberly croaked out alarmed.

"Why? Since the day I came back you've been nothing but a pain in my ass. Let me return the favor. I'm gonna fuck you hard in the ass" saying that, unzipped his pants.

Using all her might, Kimberly pushed herself off the wall and jumped away from Axel. "Get away from me" she shrieked with tears in her eyes. "What the hell is wrong with you? I thought you were a decent guy!"

He scoffed. "Don't act like you didn't come here willingly. Why would a decent guy take a girl to the boy's locker room alone? How dense are you? What did you think I brought you here for?"

Kimberly wiped her tears. "It was a mistake and it'll never happen again"

Axel laughed. "I'm glad, you didn't even make me hard anyway,"

A little cry left Kimberly, she covered her mouth and ran out of the locker room.

Axel stayed there for few minutes.

"You make me wanna be a better person for you... But you are not here anymore." He whispered to himself.
