"Nate, Ralph. I want you two to stay here with Mary." Dean snapped at two of his warriors they nodded and found spots in the house that they could look outside while keeping an eye on me.

"What's going on?" I asked looking at Dean as he rolled me to the living room. "if their scents are inside the border now it won't be long until they attack. I want you to be safe, and guarded at all times." he glanced at me like he was expecting me to fight him on it but I kept quiet. he knew more about this than I did after all.

"Hello, Luna." a new voice called and I turned to see a pretty, and tall man with auburn hair and green eyes walking toward us. the same one who had followed Dean into the meeting.

"I'm Deans beta, Luke." He said once he stood in front of me, he held out his hand and I took it shaking his hand.

"Nice to meet you Mary."

"It's Nice to meet you luke." I responded with a smile before moving out of the way and into the living room. Trying to keep my attention elsewhere while they talked. He may be my mate but eavesdropping is still rude. Eventually Dean came into the living room, kneeling in front of me with a soft smile on his face.

"I'm leaving, Nate and Ralph are my top warriors you'll be safe with them I promise." I nodded and he leaned forward pressing his lips against my forehead. The spot his lips touched seemed to burn my skin and I felt the blood rush to my cheeks. I adverted my gaze to the floor embarrassed. He kissed me! I mean it was on my forehead but still! I gushed in my mind and I swear I could hear Dean chuckle, I didn't say that out loud did I? I glanced to the warriors but they gave me no answers so I decided to just believe I did not say it outloud for the sake of my pride.

I watched as dean stood and left, his beta by his side and an odd silence fell into the room. I'd never had the pack house seem so empty and quiet before in my life. It was odd but I assumed everyone was probably either out on the hunt or at their real homes with their family until the rogues were caught. Werewolves are naturally overprotective pack animals after all it wouldn't surprise me.

I sat calmly inside the living room with the two warrior's Nate and Ralph, its been half an hour since my mate had left with his beta to go find these rogue scents, and I had since then given up on small talk with these two warriors who seemed to want nothing to do but to stare out the window tense and alert for any threat that may appear to me.

I kinda wished I had a mate bond formed with Dean by now because at least I would have his presence in my mind, and know that he was okay and he would know I was okay. I know i'm not ready to complete the bond but I have nothing against him marking me. Does that make me a slut or something? I mean it is the first day and I'm already okay with having my mate mark me? Maybe it's just because my wolf isn't as confident as other wolves or something. I hope that's it and i'm not some clingy weirdo.... I sighed quietly and drifted my gaze outside the window scanning the fields for any movement.

I saw a flash of red in the tree's and I sat up straight focusing onto the flash of color trying to follow the movement. There are no red wolves in my pack, but I heard there are red wolves in the canvas pack so maybe its one of them? The red wolf suddenly made an appearance breaking through the tree's at a intensely fast run heading straight here. His eyes flashed red and I jumped, only rogues have red eyes. "Nate, Ralph!" I called pointing at the rogue coming our way.

Nate immediately shifted, he was a large brown and cream wolf and charged out of the house to intercept the rogue, Ralph shifted too into a huge red wolf, I was right red wolves do exist in the canvas pack! However instead of running out to join his friend he stayed glued to my side. We both listened to the snarling of the two fighting wolves outside and I watched as ralph's eyes glazed over signalling he was calling someone and I had no doubt that it was Dean.

Once his eyes returned to normal I coughed to gain his attention His giant head turned to me and I smiled "Go, Help Nate I don't want him to get hurt, Dean will be here in no time so please" I gestured to the door making a shooing motion with my hand and I could see the thankful look in his eyes as he took off from my side and out the door to help his friend take down the rogue.

I looked outside to see Nate and Ralph holding down the rogue with ease, It took maybe five minutes for the fighting to stop and just as it did the huge black streak of fur exploding through the tree's signaled Deans arrival. I watched through the window as he charged straight toward the rogue only to jumped way over all three wolves, and into the house.

I turned my head as he charged into the house to fast to stop and slammed into the couch in front of him, making it crack and groan from the impact, Dean also lost his footing and fell onto the ground. I knew he was okay, he was an alpha and a werewolf so I wasn't about to stop the fit of giggles ready to burst out of my mouth at the scene. I clutched my sides as I laughed, tears collecting into my eyes as he struggled to get back onto his feet. Once he did he shook out his fur and gave me a wolfy grin although I could tell he was embarrassed about it.

I tried to reign in my laughter and gave him a bubbly grin. "I'm sorry, I'm okay go help nate and ralph okay?" I asked giggling a bit at the end as the image of his cashing into the couch and flopping onto the floor reappeared in my mind.

Dean nodded and this time slowly left the house and trotted to the two warriors. I watched through the window as Dean grabbed the rogue by the scruff heading into the trees. I spotted alpha gregs dark brown and black wolf disappear into the trees no doubt showing them the way to his dungeon so they could interrogate the rogue.

I relaxed back into my chair trying to calm down my breathing both from the fear and the laughing fit I just went through. It took only two minutes for my brothers and my father to finally come in their confused glances at the broken couch made me laugh all over again.

"What?" Jacob asked with a smile on his face and I shook my head.

"Oh, Nothing."
