Blake's POV
What's going on with me? I asked myself as I thought about Friday night. I had a beautiful female arms length away from me and I didn't even make a move. She must think I'm a coward. What a woman like her can do to a man like me is frightening.
Today Amelia is suppose to be stopping by my office to discuss business. Once this deal is over I am going to at least ask her out.
I decided on a blue suit, even though she may not say it, she is attracted to me and I'll start from there.
I arrived at the office at nine o'clock, she'll be here in the next thirty minutes. I needed to pace myself, I felt nervous. I walked quickly up to Courtney and told her to let me know when my 9:30 is here and I am not to be disturbed. I walked away quickly to avoid any conversation with her.
Amelia's POV
I awoke to the bright sunlight pouring over my eyes. I checked the alarm it was eight. Shit I over slept I'm going to be late. I rushed out of bed and headed to the bath.
I arrived just at 9:25. I strolled to the desk and recognized the woman from the party sitting at the receptionist desk. When she looked up and saw me she gave me a very distasteful look. What did I do to this girl?
She rolled her eyes "I guess you must be his nine thirty"
"Yes I guess I am" I said with the fakest smile.
" Please come this way." She said rolling her eyes.
We walked to his office and she turned and told me to wait here. She quickly returned and told me that I could go in. I quickly took two breaths and entered his office. When he looked up and saw me it was like he had seen a ghost and he couldn't seem to move.
" Mr.Parker pleasure to meet again." I said smiling with my inner self.
"Sorry I was umm, same pleasure to see you again." He said smiling.
"Well let's get to it."
We talked for about thirty minutes about the benefits, contracts, shares etc.
He then gave me a tour of the company. I must admit its a huge company with great potential apart from what its already done.
To close it all off I said " can you give me the contracts so I can let my lawyer look them over and you could come and collect them by the end of the week."
" Does this mean that you are in on the proposition?" He said with excitement in his voice.
" Yes, of course. I love what I have seen so far this company has incredible potential. ."
He walked me to my car we said our goodbyes and I drove to my business. I had a short meeting with Hope, informing her of the task of getting the contracts to my lawyer and also on the investment.
Hours had passed I was swamped with work. Hope came and told me I had a visitor. In came Chloe I was still furious with her for what she had done Friday.
She looked nervous "before you say anything I'm sorry for ditching you Friday, you were so caught up in your conversation that I just didn't want to interrupt your progress, with Mr.gorgeous. Lia who was that?"
" If you must know his name is Blake he is one of my current investments." I said blushing.
"Continue your not telling me something!!!" She said squealing
" I went to his house that night but nothing happened I just went to get charge on my phone." I said shrugging my shoulders.
Chloe just stared blankly" your kidding me right? You like him don't you?"
" So what if I do? he hasn't shown any interest in me." I said sighing.
" I highly doubt that especially after Friday night." She said smirking.
I sighed ," I don't know babe he hasn't made any moves yet so I am at a lost of what to do."
Just then I heard a knock on the door.
" Come in" I continued staring at Chloe.
I looked back up to see that it was Blake standing in my office I cleared my throat.
" Chloe if you don't mind I have business to attend to." I said drifting my eyes to Blake. She was about to say something when I narrowed my eyes at her.
" Sure babe, can I stop by later?"
"Yes" I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek ,and she left.
I was surprised to see Blake in my office.
He smirked " do you have ten minutes?"
" Yes, go ahead."
" I'd love to invite you to my house tomorrow night if you'll join me...?"
" Why do you want me at your house Mr.Parker?" I replied smiling.
"Such things shouldn't be discussed in an office." He said biting his lip.
I haven't been around this man much but he is very distracting. In every thing he does with his body. I guess he uses it as a weapon for what he wants.
"How about you put your number in my phone." I say handing him the phone.
He got up to leave and gave me it back. He came over to me and just stared at me.
"You'll text me right?"
"Of course." I said feeling breathless
"Good I look forward to seeing you. Bye."
"Bye"
With that he left. I thought Chloe left but as soon as he left she came barging back into my office. I looked at her almost with an annoyed look.
"What's the honest deal with that guy Lia?" She said playfully.
"I don't know what you are talking about there's no deal with him."
"You know I know when your lying right?" She said folding her arms.
I had to change the subject and quick.
" So Liam called me Friday " I said casually
"For what?" She said with an angry look on her face. .
"He told me he is coming into town sometime this week and would like to know if I would like to go to dinner with him"
" And what did you say?" She said getting even more angry
"That I'd think about it."
Chloe gasped like she didn't believe what was coming out of my mouth. I swear she is so dramatic.
" Please tell me you aren't going. Right?"
" I don't know I need some closure in my life in order to move on." I said shrugging my shoulders as if it was nothing.
"Its been over a year!!" She said in annoyance.
"That's why I need to do this. We can talk later on tonight if your still coming by."
She made a nervous laughed "about that I can't make it I have a date with that guy from Friday."
" Fine go I have work to do bye."
"Bye mean one." She gave me a kiss on the cheek then left.
Now what was I going to do tonight?. On my way home I decided to stop and get some McDonald's. When I arrived home I took a shower and thought I would catch up on some vampire diaries.
I decided to text Blake because as much as I hated to admit I kind of missed him.
Amelia: what are you up to ?
Blake:missing that beautiful smile of yours.. how about you?
Amelia: just catching up on some vampire diaries
Blake:alright can't wait to see you tomorrow I'll text you the address just in case .
Amelia: bye
I honestly wondered what he had in store for tomorrow. Well only one way to find out and with that I headed up stairs to got some rest.
