Tobiah's Pov

The hopeful  smile that I kept all along the drive to her office disappeared. As the elevator dinged announcing its arrival at our floor, I was slapped with the harsh reality. The passion that I am newly discovering for my boss burnt me down the moment I laid eyes on her glass office. I was nearly brought to my knees with both jealousy and anger. Right then, I could have swore that I heard something cracking in me, my heart or soul maybe? Why am I feeling such pain and rage you might ask? Well I won't keep you n the dark for long...

As the elevator opened its doors wide, my eyes gazed away to find their targeted girl. Her black hair fell in waves surrounding her curves. Her black eyes shined in amusement. Her full lips parted as a laugh escaped them...For a moment, I felt the world stopping in movement. It was only her and over things blackened into nothingness. I unconsciously smiled and deep in me one questioned started to echo " How did I miss the beauty in the office near by?".  Never have I ever felt such drive and passion in me. All I wanted to do was to kiss her smart mouth shut and announce to her stubborn soul that she is mine. Promising myself to make up for all the lost times, I shook myself back to the real world. That's when I noticed the man in a blue suit and my world started spinning. 

He is the one making her laugh...

He seems so comfortable around her...

Are they...?

Am I too Late?

With all those burning questions, I marched angrily at her office. Shouldn't she feel something for me by now? Shouldn't she hate him still? With fisted hands and harsh shallow breathes, I neared them. Rafael was sitting in my usual spot , the black leather chair by facing Lia's office, while she stood at the other side laughing loudly. Her voice would have been music to my ears if that man wasn't the cause of it. 

"So are you keeping the names that we picked when we were nine?" I heard Rafael question as I entered the office not capturing any attention. Lia's eyes lit as she hugged her tummy lovingly.

They went that far! She told him that she is pregnant! Why would she tell him before our families...! How dare she!

"We are not keeping them.  The rice-grain can be called Reece , for all it matters and it would still have nothing to do with you." I grumbled announcing my arrival and Lia froze as a her gasp echoed throughout her office.

"Tobiah! What the hell are you doing here?" Lia asked gaining her voice and it sounded rough and angry!

"I am at my work place, unlike other people." I seethed throwing Rafael a glare and his eyes darkened in hate...This fucker is simply dreaming if he think I would ever let go of Lia without a fight! He is the one that gave her up for years so why would he come back now and ask for her forgiveness.

"The fake boyfriend..." Rafael mocked and I wished to punch his smirk off.

"You are horribly late ! I don't even get why you are here. Shouldn't you just take the rest of the day off? " Lia continued to talk as took steps to her. She sounded beyond angry and her cheeks tainted in red as she huffed and puffed.

"And miss this reunion with Mr. ferret!" I sarcastically said hearing Rafael throwing some cruses and threats my way.

"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be with Lana?" Lia asked as I came face to face with her and one inch only separated us. I could simply reach out for her now and bring her into a hug, kiss her in front of her old love and prove to her, to him that she is mine.

"Lana isn't my business anymore." I informed to see Lia's pink coated lips form an "o" shape.

"What?" she managed to utter after a silent moment.

"Grab your things princess. We have a long day  ahead of us." I ordered seeing her getting more confused. In all honesty, it was amusing to see my boss losing control and start to overthink. Cutely, Cordelia's thumbs start fidgeting with the hem of her jacket. 

She was dressed in a light washed pink suit. It gave her a professional look but the skirt hugged her curves like a second skin. It accentuated the roundness of her hips and my thoughts got cloudier as was capture by the curves of Lia...Why didn't I make a move before is beyond me because both my heart and body seem to pray for Lia's body and love.

"Stop staring at me Like that" Lia hissed in a hush and I had an internal fight to register her order and do as she says. My eyes went to hers and she had this deep blush on her cheeks making me smile. If she admits it or not she is clearly affected by me.

"Grab your things." I ordered again strictly 

"Excuse me..." Rafael tried to interfere but I raised my hands ordering him to shut it.

"You are excused. " I replied and without waiting for an answer grabbed Lia's hand and started walking away with her. Now mind you, I didn't grab her harshly or drag her rapidly but that stupid man had to yell and order me to stop.

"You cannot treat a pregnant lady like that..." He continued to whine 

"Don't you have a life of your own? Can't you see that we are busy?" I turned to the man who kept on arguing with my every move and my glare dared him to say anything.

"Cordelia is in my circle" He grumbled trying to reach for her free hand but I was faster.

"Lia clearly doesn't want to leave. Let her be." He continued to order crossing his hands while his eyes drifted to Lia and I's intertwined fingers.

"Lia, I simply need you. I want to show you my world if you are willing." I finally revealed talking to Lia and ignoring her ex who clearly fumed at my words. 

"Your world?" Lia repeated in a puzzling manner and I nodded at her.

"We are having a baby together and stuff moved too fast for us. I want you to fully know me and trust me before Reece gets here." I explained and my grip tightened a bit around her hand assuring her that I really do need her to agree with me.

"Reece, really Tobiah?" Lia asked clearly unimpressed and I offered her a silly grin. What! That was the only name that I could come up with when angered. You cannot deny though that it is better than Rice-grain.  

"Charlotte and William sound way better" an annoying comment interrupted our moment of teasing and an animal like grunt escaped my lips.

"It is okay Tobiah...Rafe, I promise to call you as soon as I go home." Lia tried to ease but I only got angrier.

"No, she wouldn't. She appreciates your concern but it is unneeded and uncalled for. You may go to wherever you came from...Just vanish again." I ordered taking a step towards the dark haired guy but he stood in place clearly up a fight. 

"Tobiah..!" Lia called begging and tried to pull me again to her.

"She is not yours anymore get that through your skull. I am also not throwing punches because she is pregnant and I fear her getting hurt in anyway but I swear to you if you ever try to cross the line with her my fist will do some permanent damage to your face." I hushed hatefully at Rafael making sure that he heard each and every word.

"Let's go." Lia begged again as the elevator dinged and pulled me with her inside leaving an clearly angered Rafael behind.
