Tobiah's Pov

"Tobiah, will you let go? Tobiah, I have been asking for five minutes...Now, I am ordering you to let go of me!" The feminine voice roared but I decided to ignore it again.

I was comfortably asleep hugging a warm body close to me. My head dived deeper in the crook of their neck enjoying the smell of strawberries. I felt my self smiling bigger hearing them huff and puff again.

"Let go or you are fired." The familiar sounded ordered for the tenth time.

"No." I whined unmoving. I needed the warmth that was omitting from them and all I knew is that I wanted one more hour of peaceful sleep.

"I swear to god if you don't let go. I will stop holding my morning back and just throw up on you and your bed." The threatening words made her stiffen and it took me a moment to process what was happening.

"Morning sickness" she said.

" Fire me" she earlier added.

"Throwing up " She ended

Repeating the last statement my eyes popped open and my hands retreated away from holding her. I shocked at my deed couldn't process how we got into the same bed or why was holding Lia as if my life depended on it. Heat suddenly rose to face and started yet again to unconsciously blush. Why am I , the guy , blushing while she , the girl, is probably inwardly swearing at me?

"Knight, you cannot hold on to a pregnant lady like that especially one her first trimester ! You can never know when sickness hits" Cordelia seethed sitting herself free of my hands and as the last word left her lips her features twisted, her eyes shut and she seemed in pain.

Rushing to my bathroom, she opened the door and ran to the toilette. Bending down, she emptied her stomach. Then , Lia sat herself on the cold floor effortlessly. She looked physically weak and this my first time witnessing her getting voided of powers. Internally, I started to freak not knowing how to care or console a pregnant lady. What should I do?

"Lia, are you okay? Do you need anything?" I mumbled feeling guilty. I am the one asking her to keep the baby. She is going through all of this because of me.

"Can you give me some clothes of yours? I want to take a quick shower if it is okay? " she asked her tone sounding a tad broken.

"Sure thing. You already know where my clothes are so pick whatever you want. I will go and make us breakfast while you get cleaned up." I announced earning a small smile.

"Please, don't make any coffee." Lia requested and my eyes grew in size hearing her. Is she really okay? She never says no to coffee so what is happening?

"Do you need any meds? Should we go see a doctor?" I rapidly talked feeling anxious and she stood shaking her head with a grin.

"No, it is just that strong smells make my morning sickness worse than it already is." Cordelia explained and I felt relieved a bit.

"Okay and I am sorry for all of this." I vowed looking down.

"It takes two to tango so don't be." Lia easily replied shrugging.

"Yeah, I will go make breakfast." I ended wanting to flee and let her take a shower before it gets awkward.

Walking downstairs, I as usual kept on marveling at how easy things are with lia. Conversations with her just flow. She does not make a big deal out of being her normal self too. Lana even drunk would throw me out of the whole room so she can puke. Lana used to say that it is not lady-like and could simply disgust a man out. Seeing Lia sick though didn't throw me off. Instead, I was feeling nervous, anxious, sad, affectionate. She is going through this because my baby is growing in her and she is taking it like a hero. I am as always proud and impressed by her.

"I guess the witch is back." My mother voice echoed as I descended the last step and I froze. How are they and Lia going to react to one another? Why are they home? They were planing to spend three more days away, so why aren't they?

"Be nice to her. You know how much Tobiah cares for her." My dad soothed but I knew that his efforts were in vain.

Based on my mother's reaction, I guess she saw the leftover food and our two bowls of late night cereal. Yes, Lia and I had cereal and watched  "Incredibles 2". Overall, it was a fun night. Lia then dozed off and I took her up to my room because no pregnant girl would be sleeping on the couch, on my watch. I , after so, sat next to a sleeping Lia and took my phone. I started to go different social medias and might have stalked Lana for a bit too...Sleep took over me suddenly and I ended up not cleaning the living-room and not going to the guests room as intended. Lia though did not seem to be angry because we shared a bed. I thought that she might yell at me but she never did...She isn't Lana. She isn't a drama queen.

Back to my mum, she truly hates Lana. She never accepted her as my girlfriend and only tolerated her because I begged her to. My mum calls Lana a " Witch". She hates the air of arrogance that Lana has and whenever my ex was around my mother would simply shut down and start glaring at Lana for her snobbishness and me for my choices.

"She is not a witch, mother." I corrected owing my self a glare.

"She is. She treats us like her inferiors and acts like some sort of queen. " My mother argued once again nearly pulling on her blond hair.

" You never loved her too." I fought back remembering how my mother spiced the food one time knowing that Lana hates it.

"Not my fault though !" My mother defended crossing her arms and dad huffed at our continuous banter.

"Not her fault either!" I mimicked both tone and gesture.

"I am getting a headache." My dad mumbled.

"I will just leave to the kitchen. I need to make Lia some food." I informed and regretted saying so out loud as my mother went stiff and her mouth opened wide.

"Lia  not Lana?" she finally asked

"Yeah,Lia as in Cordelia." I emphasized on the name.

"I know that you idiot ! What does she want for breakfast?" Mother asked energetically and a wide smile decorated her pale face.

"Huh?" I questioned getting her sudden change of mood.

"I want her to feel welcomed here. Cordelia is such an amazing girl and she deserves the right kind of breakfast...So what does she want?" My mother explained warmth clear in her tone and started to walk away to our kitchen forgetting that she is still dressed too formally for cooking.

"I don't know ..." I honestly answered following the lead of my mother.

"You never asked her? What a shame! I thought I taught you better." she blamed making me come to a sudden halt.

"How can you care about her this much even though you met her at parties only." I pointed hating how easily my mum can throw Lana under the buss but would go out of her way to care for Lia.

"You can easily tell if the person is warm-hearted or a mere witch from talking to them...In parties , as you said, Lia was nothing but a sweetheart. Even though she has billions, she kept herself simple and kind. I remember how she was introducing herself at one moment, then started chatting with us and joking with your dad. Do you know that Lia and I have met and had coffee on different occasions ? She even invited me to accompany her to the Chanel fashion show because I gushed once about the brand...She is like the daughter that I never had. " My mother ranted picking up her kitchen apron and wearing it.

"She did?" I asked amazed at the newly revealed closeness between Lia and my mother.

"Are you and her dating? " My mum ignored my unanswered question shooting me a studying gaze. I never talked to my parents about Lia . They don't have Instagrams or facebooks to know our status. I left them in the dark because my plan was simply targeted at Lana and no one else.

"I..." I started to mumbled not knowing which version should I tell ...

"If you are treat her right or I will poison your food." My mum threatened and I was shocked. How can my mum , my own flesh and blood, take Lia's side so naturally ?!

"Jade...How are you?" Lia's voice came from behind me interrupting  the comeback that I was going to throw at my mum.

Turning around, my mum's response got muffled. In front of me, Lia stood wearing my Harvard jersey only. The red coton cloth was big on her and covered half her thighs only. Her hair was still wet and resting on her right shoulder. No matter how simple Lia looked , my breathes hitched and I couldn't but stare at her legs, body and face...How can a girl look so good in manly clothing?

"Close your mouth. You look like an idiot" My mother ordered slamming my head lightly as she walked to hug Lia.

"I missed you Delia. " My mother announced letting go of a giggling Lia. When did they become so friendly?

"I missed you too."  Lia shot back with clear happiness and I couldn't but smile big.

"So do you want just coffee as usual?" My mother questioned Lia and pointed to her apron clarifying that she is responsible for breakfast.

Lia's eyes shot to meet mine in clear distress now. I knew she wanted to keep the baby a secret at least till we decided on either keeping it or no...I hope that we will...Mouthing to Lia that I got this I cleared my throat and cried a "No".

" What's wrong with you now Tobiah?" My mother's shocked tone asked but annoyance was evident too. I love how she is caring for Lia and rude to me *sarcasm*!

"Lia is cutting back on coffee. She starts her day with healthy alternatives now and whole balanced meals." I informed hearing Lia sigh in relief.

"How about avocado on toast and some mango smoothies?" My mother offered and I nodded at her.

"Are you okay with it Lia?" I offered owning a conforming smile.

"You are the best Jade." Lia complimented and my mother grinned at her. Why can't she be this happy and caring with Lana ?

"I am but I need to know one thing before I make you food...Are you two dating?" My mother repeated her earlier question and like Cordelia I froze.

"That question shouldn't be hard to answer...At least not when Lia is spending the night and is dressed in your shirt...Not when you suddenly know her morning diet..." My mother pointed out and I felt an urge to just end such tensity.

"We are dating." I answered sticking to Lia and I 's already made plan.

"Yeyyyyyyyyy...You are finally making me proud! The witch's time is done! " My mother cheered like a kid and Lia started to giggle making me involuntary smile at the cheerful sound leaving her lips.

"You are still calling her a witch?" Lia asked and one again I was shocked by her knowledge of my mother and ways.

"She is a witch, always was, always will be." My mother shrugged saying so and turned to the fridge to grab all of the necessities .
