" Oh come on, Nick. Please?" Jasper pouted, clasping his hands together and batting his long lashes pleadingly. Nicolas glances at his friend, not the slightest bit amused, and goes back to scrolling through his phone.
" Help me gumdrop. He won't listen." He turns to me and my heart practically melts at his desperation. I turned towards the boy next to me and sighed. It can be really hard to change his mind and I should know.
Yesterday he saw me talking with Andrew about our group assignment and refused to let me go for ice cream. The ice cream he promised to take me to simply because he was jealous. He , however made up for it my having ice cream with him at his place. So I guess that's alright but I still wanted to go.
" It's not that big of a deal. Give them to him." I smiled. He doesn't say or word nor look at me.
" Fine, I'll just take them." I sighed reaching over to his bag and slipping my hand inside.
" What are you doing?" He gripped my hand before I could bring out the two pieces of paper.
" I'm giving them to him. He needs it more than we do. " I told him and he sighed, letting my hand go. I smiled, handing the two tickets to Jasper who looked like he would pass out from joy.
" I love you so much." He says, making Nick growl under his breath.
" Thank you so much gumdrop. I owe you one. I'll just go give Arya to hold on to these for me and come back. Bye." He said, rushing down the hall. I smiled at his retreating figure. It's so cute how Jasper is in love with Arya. Their personalities just fit. They're both playful, have great sense of humor, and are have so much in common.
" Do you think they're gonna end up together? I hope so." I smiled but got no response.
" Nick..." No response. I sighed and grabbed a hold of his hand.
" I'm sorry I gave Jasper the concert tickets you got for us. It's just that...he really likes Arya and-"
" And I don't really like you?" He asked with a frown.
" I know you do. But come on Nick, don't think I haven't figured out that you hate concerts. Jasper told me once. I'd rather spend time with you and enjoy it than take you to a place you aren't comfortable with at all." I said resting my head on his shoulder he relaxes and exhales.
" I'm sorry." I pouted.
" It's okay. But I'm still upset." He says folding his arms across his chest cutely.
" What can I do to cheer you up then?" I asked feeling genuinely sorry.
" How's your English essay coming along, Hope?" Arya asked not taking her eyes off her paper.
" Great. I'm almost done." I smiled. She looks at me, shocked for a moment before shaking her head.
" Of course you are. Who are you writing about?" She asked and I felt my face flush red. I never really knew who to write about in the beginning but after that date with Nick, I just knew he was the one. I started writing about him ( and of course, I made sure to make him seem anonymous) and to my surprise, the was so much to write. I'm almost done with the essay but it feels like I have even gotten to the best part about him.
" No need to say it. I already know." She says with a smirk.
" H-How? Is it because of how close we've been these few weeks?" I frowned. I haven't told anyone about my essay.
" No, it's the drastic change in color on your face." She pointed out. I patted my cheeks with my cold hands hoping to make the blush go away.
