I quickly pulled away, much to Nicolas' dismay, too embarrassed to meet anyone's eyes. God this is embarrassing.
" Oh, don't mind us kids. We just wanted to check up on you." Lillian's voice said. I fiddled nervously with my fingers and squeezed my eyes shut, hoping to disappear.
" Aren't you supposed to be somewhere?" Nicolas sighs frustratedly.
" Nope. We're back already and it went horrible thanks for asking." His grandma replied. Nicolas cocked a brow.
" You grandma wanted a house that suited her taste." Lilian explained with an eye roll.
" I want you to live a comfortable life that's all." The old woman tried to defend herself.
" Mum... you literally chose a cottage." Lilian sighed and walked off, her mother hot in her trail.
I shivered when I felt a pair of lips on my neck. Does he ever get enough?
" No. We're you not moved by what just happened?" I asked pushing him away.
" Not really. No." He mumbles with a frown. I shook my head and lifted James into my arms. The baby had been on the bed blabbing utter nonsense and nibbling on his fingers, utterly oblivious to what was happening. I couldn't have been more relieved.
" Where are you going?"
" I'm going downstairs. I believe you were reading when I came. Wouldn't want to stop you from that." I shrugged.
" You already did." He raised a brow. I blushed.
" Well...carry on. I won't disturb you anymore." I said and walked out the door. I could hear him grumble but didn't quite make out what he was saying. I walked downstairs and met the two ladies laughing over something.

I stared at my phone for the umpteenth time today. The boy's still not here? Why is he taking so long? I impatiently tapped at the locker behind me and pressed my lips in anticipation. The hall was completely empty as everyone was at the hall upstairs listening to an orientation about what I don't know. I would know if it weren't because of him.
" Hey." I heard a feminine voice call. I adjusted my oversized sleeve and turned to meet a familiar face.
" Uhm... Jasper asked me to give you this. He says he's sorry for making you wait. He had to attend to something his mother asked him to do." The dark haired girl said handing me my literature homework. I thanked her and took the book out of her hands. The pretty asian smiled at me and walked off. I tucked the book into my bag and headed up the stairs only to be pushed back my the crowd of students falling out. Great, I missed it. Thanks alot Jay.
I turned to my heels, trying not to trip or get bumped so hard. I gasped when I felt a hand yank me so hard. I tried to make out who was dragging me away but his back was facing me instead. Once we were finally away from the crowd he turned towards me.
" N-Nicolas? What are you doing? Why are you dragging me?" I frowned. He's been doing this alot lately I don't even know how I didn't guess it was him this time.
I sighed as he dragged me up the stairs and to the roof. Wait...
" Why are were heading to the roof?" I asked.
" I have something to show you." He said and opened the door.
" W-What is this?" I gasped as my eyes spotted a blue blanket and a picnic basket. I snapped out of my daze when I heard a clicking sound.
" Did you just lock the door?" I asked perplexed. What is he doing? Nicolas nods and tucks the keys into his pocket, dragging me by the hand towards the spread.
