I woke up to the annoying buzz of my alarm. Gosh I hate these things. It takes a few minutes to rub the sleep off my eyes but I eventually do. I lazily get up and head towards the bathroom for a quick shower.
Once I'm done, I brush my brown curls and throw on an oversized red t-shirt and some black tights. Satisfied with my appearance, I make my way down the stairs.
" Morning sunshine. How was your night?" Aunt Maggie's voice calls from the kitchen. She was in the kitchen, a cup of coffee to her lips with her phone in her hands.
" Morning." I smiled and kissed her cheeks. I grabbed my bag and the lunch the had packed for me. I'm not really a breakfast person.
" Don't you want me to drive you to school?" She asks once I'm by the door. I shake my head.
" It's okay Aunt Maggie. I'm good." I tell her and leave.
The walk to school took 15minutes but I was soon there. I wended towards my locker and took out my biology note. Yay biology.
So far everything was normal today. I took a seat on an empty table at the front and began arranging my things. Not long after the door slams open and in comes none other than Sophia Cullens. Kill me now.
Her forest green eyes scan the room in a furious glare before they land on me. She slowly walks towards me like a predator who was about to pounce on their prey.
The whole class remains silent and no one dates to move. I swallow thickly and shrink in my seat when she towers my small frame. She slams her hand on my table causing me to jump in my seat.
" Well, well, well. If it isn't the boyfriend thief." She grits. Boyfriend thief?! I was just sitting on the couch for goodness sake.

I hear a few gasps from the rest of the class at her statement.
" Tell me you slut, do you really think I'd let you go after what happened yesterday? Huh? Tell me." She says flicking my forehead with her fingers. Ouch, darn it. Where's the teacher when you need him?
I open mouth to speak but nothing comes out.
" Well guess what? No one tries to take my man and gets away with it." She says with a smirk. Take her man? Oh no, she's got it all wrong.
Before I can say anything she flings my book across the room and storms off. I stare at the floor for a while trying to collect myself. That just happened. Releasing a sigh, I get up and pick my book up. Thank goodness she didn't tear it up. I ignore the stares I was receiving from all corners of the class and take a seat. Just then the teacher walks in.

Perfect timing.
Note my sarcasm.

It's been an hour and half and Biology class seems to be taking much longer than it should. On a normal day I wouldn't mind. I love biology actually. It's just so hard to focus with all the whispering. Ever since Sophia left, everyone else began to whisper not so nice things about me.

      "  I can't believe that just happened."

"Me too. You really think she and Nicolas could..."

" Of course not, she's way to lame and boring for someone like him."

" Yeah, but looks can deceive you know."

           " Yeah, she's probably a whore too."

" A really ugly one too."

" Maybe if she got rid of those clothes she'd look better."

" Sure, maybe that's why Nicolas-"

" Mr Altman! Can I please use the bathroom." I say a bit too loud. I can't take this anymore. Luckily Mr Altman doesn't say a thing but simply nods. I don't hesitate before leaving the class.

Once I'm out, an uncontrollable tear rolls down my cheek. Then another, and another. I quickly wipe them away. I shouldn't be crying. No one knows what actually happened. But why do their words hurt so bad? I blink back the tears that threatened to fall and headed towards the bathroom.
I don't really want to use it, I just need to stay away from all of them. I walk over to the mirror by the sink and take in my appearance. My eyes were slightly red and so was my nose. I rinse my face with some water and take in a few deep breaths.
" Come on Hope. You know what they're saying isn't true. You can do this. Just ignore them and-"
The bell rings indicating biology class over. I internally jump for joy. Thank God. I exit the bathroom and head back to the half empty class for my bag and books. It's lunch time and my stomach is growling.
The cafeteria was filled with different people forming their own groups and eating together. I,of course, am alone so I looked around for an empty table and spotted one almost immediately.
I make my way to the table and took a seat. My stomach rumbled some more when I opened my bag and brought out the turkey sandwich and apple juice Aunt Maggie had packed for me. Yum.
" I'll take that." A hand snatches my sandwich right out of my grip as I was about to take a bite. Sophia.
" Ugh! No wonder you're so fat. " Sophia says in disgust and she pulls out the slice of cheese and turkey from my sandwich with her index finger and thumb.
" Th-That's mine." I say weakly but she ignores me and throws it onto the ground. My stomach growls in protest.
" Trust me Stewarts. I haven't even started with you." She snarls.
" Now I need you to get this straight. I don't want you near my man or even looking at him, alright?" She asks and I vigorously nod my head, avoiding eye contact with her.
" But if I catch you doing otherwise, I'll make sure you regret it. Am I clear?" She asks and I nod my head. She snatches my Apple juice and squirts it on the ground. With that being done, she truts off to her table of popular kids and sits beside him.
I make eye contact with him for about a second but quickly shift my  gaze into my laps. My stomach growls and I can practically hear it talk to me. Food, food...I need food dumbass!
I rub my stomach hoping to calm it down. I guess no food till I get home then. Deciding to leave the place where I'm surrounded by food, I duck my head in shame and leave the cafeteria, ignoring the states I was getting form different corners.
Once I'm out, I head over to the place where I feel safest at school. The place where no idiot goes and wouldn't dream of going in Gemstone high. The place that no act of bullying takes place....my happy place. The library.
