Once Rose had spoken to Ace's parents, she headed home, Lara was already planning things before they left, and Rose was concerned about the result, she was an eccentric women when she was happy.

Scott sent her to bed the moment she stepped into the house, she didn't argue back, she was tired after everything.

The moment she closed her eyes she thought she would fall into a deep sleep, but unconsciousness didn't overcome her at all.

Sighing in annoyance, Rose rolls over the bed and looks at the clock on her bed side table. Forty minutes had passed since she arrived back home and got into bed.

It was no use; sleep didn't want to consume her. Walking out to her balcony, Rose looked out to the town, part of it was hunkering down for the night, the other getting ready for a night out.

She turns to head back inside when a voice calls out her name "Rose".

She halts her movement, thinking she heard something she turns back around and walks back to the edge, looking over she finds Ace stood below, his face was covered by his hood. His icy blue eyes stood out making him easily identified.

"What are you doing here?" she whisper shouts at him. She had no idea the state her father's mind was in after today and finding Ace would probably send him over the edge.

"I wanted to make sure you were okay" Ace calls back.

A smile creeps onto Rose's face. She couldn't resist. Waving her hand, she signals him to climb up. The tree beside her balcony was the perfect ladder.

Rose walks back and sits back on her bed as he climbs up.

Landing on his feet, Ace looks around the room, there wasn't any personnel items about the place, it didn't look like anyone lived in there.

Rose watched as he looked around the room, he was nervous, she waited for him to look at her and speak but he didn't.

"What's up Ace?" she asks, starting the conversation.

"I want to be involved" Ace breathes out before he could blink.

Rose looks at him with a raised eyebrow.

"With the baby I mean" he didn't know how she would react if he said her too.

She nods her head "Okay, if that's what you want" she says.

He nods "And if you want to be involved, I guess that's good too" he says with a smirk and a wink, his nerves suddenly disappearing.

Rose chuckles, her face heating up at the thought. They may have slept together once before but it didn't stop her cheeks from flushing red.

"Okay" she drawls out "But, for the sake of our baby, there can't be any secrets" she tells him.

Ace sighs, "There are things you don't know about me, that no one does. Most of it bad, I can't let you get hurt".

Rose stands up and shakes her head "No, you can't do that, you can't keep secrets. The last time a secret was kept in my family, a life was lost" she told him.

Ace followed her to a wall which had only one picture one. He watched as she lifted her hand and lightly touched it. A sad smile on her lips.

"This was taken six years ago, a month before my uncle died. He was the best uncle ever". Turning away, Rose wraps her hand around herself as the memories replay in her mind. "I was always with them both; my father and uncle. Dad and Sam grew up as best friends, Sam was older by three years, but he never left my father behind, no matter what".

When Sam was eighteen, he started the Quinten Security company, after the first year he had become big, the guys that worked for him were the best; still are. My father was in the military straight out of school. On Sam's thirty-first birthday they got another contract. Someone was sending a family death threats, my dad wanted to leave the military and join the company full time, but Sam wanted him to fulfil his dream that he originally planned. So that contract was kept from my father, four weeks in and my father found out. He was in Sam's office. Doing some digging himself found out that the husband of the women Sam had been contracted to work for was the one sending the threats. He was a psychopath. He tried to call Sam, but he wouldn't answer so he left to find him".

Rose takes a breath and looks at Ace for the first time since talking about it "He found Sam and went to warn him, the husband came out of nowhere with a gun and pointed it my father's back, before my father was shot, Sam shoved him out of the way and..." Rose's eyes begin to water.

Ace steps forward and wraps his arms around her. "It's okay" he comforts.

"My dad went after the guy and killed him, if Sam would have told my dad, Sam wouldn't have died, it would have all been avoided" Rose cries out.

Ace's arms tighten around Rose's body "You don't know that".

Rose nods her head "Yes I do, so I'm asking you to not let that happen, I already lost my uncle, I can't lose anyone else".

"Okay, I will tell you, but tomorrow, you need to sleep" his concern was for Rose as the baby, his life can wait till the morning.

Ace tucked Rose into bed and kissed her on the forehead, he turned to leave but Rose reaches out for him, taking him by the wrist.

"Stay" she says with a yawn.

Ace nods his head without hesitation, he kicks of his shoes and pulls off his hoodie and shirt and climbs into the bed with Rose. She immediately moves up to him and Ace warps his arms around her, one hand resting on her stomach.

"Goodnight Ace" she utters drifting to sleep as he speaks back.

Eight in the morning and they came to check on her. Jack opens the door quietly and Leighton stands beside him.

"How did he get in?" Jack whispers loudly.

Leighton shushes him, "Probably through the opened doors on her balcony" he nods towards the doors.

"Scott will flip if he finds Ace in bed with her".

Leighton slaps Jack and he cries out in pain "Leave her be, she's already pregnant".

The door closed and they headed downstairs.

Scott sat at the dining room table with a coffee in his hand and his laptop in front of him going over papers.

"She still asleep?" Scott asks without looking up.

Leighton nods "Yeah, but she isn't alone" he tells his old friend.

Scott looks up "Ace" he utters with a shake of his head.

It wasn't long after Leighton and Jack checked on Rose that Ace woke up, he was hesitant to go downstairs but did so anyway. He needed to speak to them at some point.

Putting his shirt and shoes on Ace heads down. The nine guys were in the kitchen when he walked in, they all stopped and looked at him, "Hi" he said.

They all looked at him with blank faces "So you broke into my house" Scott spoke up.

Everyone watched Ace to see what he would do; they saw him gulp. The guys were trying to hold in their laughter but couldn't.

Damian and Dominic laughed; Ace looked at them confused

"Don't worry kid, you're not the only one to sneak into a girl's bedroom" Dominic said.

"The first one of us to get them pregnant though" Jack joked. This time it was Ryan to slap him up the side of the head.

"Ow, what is it with everyone hitting me?" he mutters.

Ace is offered a coffee which he takes.

Rose wakes and Ace wasn't there. She thought he had left, not wanting to face the wrath of her father.

When she got up, she changed. Ace had left his hoodie and Rose put it on. It smelt of him and had her calm.

When she walked into the kitchen, she saw her ten guys chatting away with one another. She pours herself a cup of coffee.

Scott looks up and goes to scold his daughter "Rose, you're not supposed to drink coffee when you're pregnant".

She turns to her father "The doctor told me not to change my routine this far into the pregnancy, only to monitor how much I drink".

Scott nods his head. She looks at her guys and realise Ace was here and walking to Ryan.

"You're still here" she says.

Ace to turns to look at her and gives a smile. He finishes talking with Ryan and walks up to Rose who was leaning against the kitchen counter.

His hands go for her hips. A light tug and he pulls her against his front. Leaning down he kisses her on the forehead, "You asked me to stay, so I will until you ask me to go".

Rose shakes her head in amusement, "Either you never listen to a word I'm saying, or you over analyse what I have said".

Leaving a kiss on his cheek; she had to stand on her tippy toes, she sits down at the table and Leighton places a plate of back in of her with some pancakes just as her stomach rumbles.

Everyone chuckles. "What? I'm eating for two now" and tucks into the food.

Ace watches her with a loving smile. Then raises an eyebrow in question. "Rose is that my hoodie?".

She turns to look at him, a piece of bacon stuck out of her mouth. She tries not to smile but she couldn't help it. She shrugs and goes back to her food.

Ace shakes his head amused and drinks his third coffee.

Everyone heads to the living room after breakfast for a short while before training.

He guys were already watching football when Rose walked in just in time for a reminder to pop up on the television. Everyone groans. She laughs. "Shut up and play it".

Everyone had taken up the seats, so she sits on the ground, leaning against Ace's legs. Two episodes and no one said a word. Until Rose called out that she was hungry again.

"You only ate ninety minutes ago" Ryan said with a shake of his head.

"But I'm craving fish and chips" she whines.

Ace chuckles, "I'll go".

Rose's eyes light up like a Christmas tree, "Chips and curry please"

Grabbing his phone Ace heads to the door. "Take the car, it'll be quicker" Scott calls to him.

Ace pops his head back around "Thanks, but I came on my bike last night" then swiftly leaves.

Scott lets out a dry laugh "Of course he has a motorcycle".

Rose sees where this could go and changes the subject, "Gym, ten minutes" she says as she jumps to her feet.

Everyone groans in annoyance.

When ace arrives back with the chips and curry, she leads him downstairs. "What's down here?" he asks.

She smiles "The gym, and monitor room".

Ace's face was pure shock when Rose opened the door and the room lit up. They were in the monitoring room. The security team were stood putting on tracking wires on their body.

"What are they doing?" Aca questions.

"It's so I can track their health as she they exercise, I look for flaws in their training and make sure their heartrate is in the correct zone, because of the intense training we make sure it isn't straining their bodies, if it does they are made to rest and are taken off work for a short period so they can recover" she explains.

Rose sits down in the chair, Ace stood by her watching as she switched the machine on. Ten images of the same thing appear on the monitors, but only nine of them are switched on and red. The only difference was their names on each individual tracker and the last one that wasn't lit up was Rose's which had a female image on it.

"Guys switch your monitor straps on" Rose says into the microphone which goes out the speakers in the gym. They each look down to their wrists and turn on the machines. Each one turns green until all nine are green.

Rose hits a button on the desk and a timer counts down from five in the gym, each of the guys pick a piece of equipment and when the timer goes off, they all start.

Rose continuously moves her eyes across the screens, looking at each of the guys as they exercised over the next hour, small breaks in the middle so they could switch machines.

Rose happily tucked into the chips and curry Ace ran out and fetched for her as she watched with a smug smile as the guys covered in sweat ran their asses into the ground.

After that Rose saves the logs and switches the monitors off, leaving the room she locks it behind herself and Ace and then heads back upstairs.

"Sorry you had to waste and hour doing nothing" she apologises.

Ace shakes his head, "Don't worry about it, it was an insight into what you do, I liked watching you work" he states.

Rose blushes and he chuckles at the redness of her face.

The guys had gone to shower, and Rose ordered in food that was healthy and benefit their training.

When they came down, Rose already had the table laid and sat down with Ace chatting as they waited for everyone.

Rose also tucked into bits and pieces of the meal and Ace ate too.

Everyone joked and chatted amongst themselves, until Scott turned to Ace and Rose eyes him suspiciously.

"Ace you are twenty correct?" he asks.

Every other conversation ceased, and they turned to Scott and Ace beginning to talk.

Ace nods, "I actually turn twenty-one soon" he says.

"Rose turns eighteen November seventeenth" he says back.

Rose rolls her eyes and sighs, "Really dad".

Scott turns to his daughter "What? He should know the birthday of the mother of his child" he states.

"Yeah, when not to celebrate it" she huffs out "Thanks" she says with sarcasm laced in her voice.

Ace looks at Rose "Why don't you celebrate your birthday?" he wonders.

"Looks like we both have stories to tell" she says with a fake smile, "But some stories are left untold".

He was confused but remained silent, even if questions were bubbling inside of him.

Ryan thankfully changed the subject onto the security gig. "So, does anyone have any suspects as to who it may be?".

People shrugged their shoulders and a few words were muttered, but no one was confident in giving an answer.

Rose, you are usually the one to figure that out" Thomas says.

Everyone around the table look at her "I have a few suspicions but I don't think they will pan out, they seem too stupid to pull this off, but I'm not judging until I have all the facts" she informs them.

When everyone finished eating, Rose got to her feet and began to gather the pots from the table. Usually the guys would rush off to watch the game, but she was stunned to see them taking out their own stuff.

"Since when did you clear the table?" she asks.

Jacks looks at her with unease "Uh..."

She shakes her head "I'm pregnant, not legless".

They all smile sheepishly at her "Why are you still here, go and watch the game" she insists whilst picking up some more pots.

They exit the room fast and turn the television on, riling one another up as the game prepares to start.

Rose walks into the kitchen and puts what she was carrying in the sink before going bac into the dining room to collect more.

Ace was still sat at the table. "Aren't you going to watch the game?" she queries.

Ace shakes his head "Nah, I'm good here" he says.

Rose smiles "I'm surprised you're still here, its been an entire day and night" she says as she walks out once again and returns with a cloth in her hand to wipe down the table.

"Well I didn't have anything to do today so here I am" he states.

Rose laughs, "And here I was thinking you wanted to be with me" she shakes her head amused and heads back into the kitchen.
