the next morning, yuna woke to the sound of blankets rustling and low moans and groans. she opens her eyes in the dark room to find seonghwa quietly trying to wake the rest of his members.

"seonghwa-ssi, what're you doing? what time is it?" she yawns quietly as seonghwa's head turns to her, eyes apologising immediately.

"i'm sorry, bub. i didn't mean to wake you up." she shakes her head, denying his apology as he goes back to shaking hongjoong.

"why're you waking them up? let them sleep," she turns to the clock on the wall before remembering she can't read analog all that well, "i'm not sure what that clock says but i don't even think the sun is up yet. let them sleep. and you too, you should go back to sleep."

seonghwa sighs, knowing the girl was right. "are you sure? i don't want them to annoy you later on. i was just gonna get them all up and we were going to leave quietly, they can go back to sleep at home." she waves him off, leaning back against mingi's chest, who was also beginning to wake.

"just stay here, i don't really care." seonghwa nods, laying back down and chuckling as hongjoong and jongho throw their limbs over him again. yuna looks up quickly to find mingi half-awake and half-asleep, looking around the room in confusion. "go back to sleep, gi. you can get up later."

the boy looks down at her before laying his head back on top of hers.

a little while later, as the sun was just beginning to rise, yeosang and san were quietly bickering in the hallway about who would use the toilet first and hongjoong was up for water. however, he couldn't remember where yuna said the cups were so he was drinking straight from the tap.

he walked into the hallway to find the two still whisper-screaming at each other, debating on who needed to go more and who was going to 'explode' first. "hey! one of you, hurry up and go to the bathroom! i don't care if you go together, just go! you're going to wake everyone else up at this rate and we don't want that happening after yuna treated us so nicely last night."

the boys look at each other before nodding, the both of them gesturing for the other to go in first. hongjoong was starting to get pissed, so he simply shoved san into the bathroom and shut the door before turning to go back to bed. upon turning around, he found a tiny little female figure, rubbing her eyes and sniffing gently.

"holy sh- yuna. why're you up, what's wrong?" hongjoong pats her head gently as she sniffs again, this time it was more evident that she was crying. "bub, what happened? why're you crying?"

the girl falls into his chest, sobbing quietly as he rubs her back soothingly, hushing her at the same time. "ha-had a n-nightmare." she sobbed, hongjoong looking to yeosang in confusion. the boy shrugs, unsure of what to do in this situation.

"o-okay. how about you go back to sleep? you're okay, it was just a dream." the girl nods, taking hongjoong's hand in her own as he guides her back to the living room. seonghwa was awake again, sitting in his place on the mattress. his eyes widen as he notices the teary-eyed girl.

"yuna? what happened? joong?" he stands up, taking the girl in his arms. he wasn't sure of what it was but something inside him felt the need to care for and protect the small female in any way he could.

"she said she had a nightmare, i don't know." hongjoong yawned, laying back down on the bed.

"hongjoong! she has night terrors! and even if you didn't know that, you should try and be a little more sensitive and understanding!" hongjoong shrugs, turning his back to the two. he hoped yuna would understand that he wasn't trying to be rude, he was just so exhausted from work and after she'd brought out the plushies the bed was just too comfortable for him to care anymore.

seonghwa sits the girl back on the lounge with mingi, holding her hand until she fell back to sleep, by which time san and yeosang had returned from the bathroom.

"what was that about?" yeosang questions as he lay down next to hongjoong.

"yuna, has night terrors," yeosang tilts his head in confusion, "they're like nightmares but a hundred times worse." yeosang nods as san lets out a quiet 'aw'. "she's okay now. mingi's told me several times that she texts him during the night either because she's afraid to go to sleep sometimes or because she's had a dream and she can't fall asleep again."

"i feel so bad for her." yeosang and seonghwa let out quiet hums of agreement to san's statement before they all fall back to sleep once more.

*a few hours later*

mingi was one of the first to wake along with seonghwa and wooyoung. wooyoung stayed in place on the lounge, quietly playing on his phone, while seonghwa silently stared at the ceiling, occasionally looking around the room to check on everyone.

mingi was confused at first, he'd completely forgotten the events of the night before, but once he remembered he couldn't stop staring at the small girl still wrapped in his arms.

he was lost in her. lost in her heavenly features - the light pink blush that dusted her cheeks in the morning just like her brother, the way her hair gently fell to her shoulders in gorgeous dark waves, the tiny smile that graced her lips, the way her eyelashes softly jumped as she looked around under her closed eyelids.

in his eyes, she was perfect. perfect in every way. he'd never seen someone as gorgeous as her and he didn't know why it took him so long to realise just how amazing she truly was. even back when she first confessed, when they were only children, he knew there was something about her that didn't sit right with him.

and that thing was the fact that she was absolutely perfect. her beauty was unparalleled, her personality too. she was everything he ever wanted and that's why he couldn't accept her feelings at first. that's part of the reason why he laughed when the words fell from her mouth because the most perfect person he'd ever come across told him they liked him back.

he stares, lost in his thoughts for a while, silently memorising every tiny detail on her face until he had a perfect picture in his mind. he stared until she woke, quietly groaning as she shifted beside him, tightening her grip on the blanket he'd laid over her.

the boy didn't even realise san and hongjoong had both woken up and san and wooyoung were already bickering on their lounge.

"wooyoung, get off of me!"

"san, quiet down! people are still asleep!"

"seonghwa, you're making most of the noise."

"shut up, hongjoong!"

yuna sits up, stretching her arms and legs, her joints popping loudly. she opens her eyes to see wooyoung and san tangled up on the small lounge and seonghwa urging them to quiet down in front of her. hongjoong looks up at her, smiling cutely as she gives him a toothy grin in return.

"good morning." she yawns. seonghwa's attention immediately turns to her, concern filling his eyes.

"how are you after last night? did you get back to sleep okay?" he gently placed his hand on her knee in a comforting manner as she nods.

"what happened last night?" jongho sits up, rubbing his eyes rather aggressively.

"yuna had a bad dream." hongjoong explains, earning a slap on the back of the head from seonghwa.

"yuna has night terrors. she had one last night and went to hongjoong crying while he was waiting for san and yeosang at the bathroom." seonghwa corrected, earning a nod from jongho.

"you have night terrors? why didn't you tell me?" yuna turns to yunho in disbelief. unbeknownst to her, he was awake and listening to their whole conversation. "why does seonghwa-hyung know and not me? let me guess, mingi knows too? and probably wooyoung?"

yuna shakes her head in denial, "the only person who should know is mingi. no one else is supposed to know, i swear! i don't even know how seonghwa knows!"

"but why them and not me?" he was slightly angry. why was he not the first person she told? why would she tell his best friends and not him, her brother, her best friend?

"because you act like this! you get all protective and go straight to 'doctor google' and i don't want you to worry about me! i've got it all under control now so there was no need to tell you anyway!" at this point, poor mingi had no idea what was going on as he'd been stuck in his trance for most of their conversation.

"i'm always going to worry about you though. you're my little sister, it's basically my job to be worried about you. i don't want you to feel like you can't tell me things because you're scared i'll overreact though," he takes a few deep breaths assuming some kind of yoga pose position, "so i'm not overreacting about this. i'm calm. i'm at one with my inner peace... or something."

yuna let's out a light chuckle, shaking her head at the male as mingi looks between them in a state of confusion. "what the fuck just happened?" the group laughs quietly as mingi tries to piece together the small bits of the conversation he'd heard.

a few minutes later, yuna was up making breakfast for everyone, even though seonghwa was still complaining that she'd done too much. the rest of the group was over the moon to hear that yuna was making breakfast after the delicious meal they had the day before. when she was finished, the boys were quick to start shovelling food into their mouths, like they hadn't eaten in months.

san lets out a low groan as he puts his plate on the sink to be washed up by yunho, "yuna, i swear you make the best food. i might die the saddest person on earth if this the only time i get to taste it."

yuna giggles softly as she watches them from the lounge, "come over anytime, i'll cook for you whenever you'd like, sannie."

"you hear that? she called me 'sannie'! i might die!" he falls back dramatically onto yeosang who basically sent him flying across the room with the force of his push.

"we call you 'sannie' all the time, why is she so special?" wooyoung questions as san takes his seat beside him again.

"because. she's yuna. everything she does is automatically better, it's just science." yuna gives him a look of confusion as he sends her a somewhat flirtatious wink.

"how is that sci-" the girl is interrupted by her brother's loudly disappointed gasp.

"did you- oh my goodness! did you just wink at my best friend's soon-to-be girlfriend? i cannot believe you! the audacity!" yuna rolls her eyes as she looks for something to throw at him.

"'soon-to-be girlfriend'? i don't mind that." mingi teased, earning a throw pillow to the face from yuna.

"they're called 'throw' pillows. why not use 'em for what they're made for?" this receives a loud round of laughs and 'oh's from the group of males currently occupying her living room.

"honestly, yuna... your house is so cozy and nice, i wish we could live here," wooyoung sighs as he looks around the room, in awe of how beautifully decorated the small space was, "we should redo our dorm to be exactly like this!"

a hard 'no' comes from both seonghwa and hongjoong as the younger pouts, san pulling him into an uncomfortable looking side hug.

i quite like these boys...
