I stormed in the house and rushed upstairs. Brittany laid stretched across the bed in what Im guessing was a lingerie set she bought.

"Youre finally home." She smiled and stood up on her knees. "You like what you see."

"All I See is a thief."

"Excuse me?"

"That money that you took out that duffel bag was for my fucking shop."

"Well I didn't know that, you should've said something."

I looked at her like she was crazy. "I ain't gotta say shit. Don't touch nothing that don't fucking belong to you, especially in my house."

"Keith you can make the money back. Here you go bitchin again." She climbed off the bed but before she could grab me, I pulled her back.

"All the shit you bought, pack it up and pack up all yo shit too cause we done."

"Blah blah blah, it's only 4,000 dollars. Go cut some hair and make it back."

"Brittany I'm not in the mood for yo bullshit. Pack up the shit you bought now!"

"Wait, why didn't you tell me you were getting ready to go buy a shop? You said that you were only looking at one."

"I don't have to tell you, go pack that shit up so we can take it back and once that's done pack all of yo shit and get the hell up out my house."

"You're going to break up with me over some money? That's petty as hell."

"This wasn't just some random ass money. That's for my shop. Thankfully April is willing to work with me."

"Hold Up, did you just say April?"

"Yeah, I did."

"So you're buying that bitch shop?"

"Yup."

"Out of all the other places you could've found you just had to go rekindle with that hoe. I thought you hated her, she was supposed to be this awful ass person."

"Naw she ain't a awful person, I made a mistake letting you back in my life. I don't even know what I was thinking."

"Wow, once again she's coming in between us. Why can't that bitch just drop dead already?!"

"You really tripping now. April ain't never even did shit to you for you to be saying some harsh shit like that. And don't forget she already beat yo ass before."

"The bitch got lucky! And I thought you finally realized that she was nothing but drama. Dealing with her ain't gone do nothing but get you hurt Keith."

"I'm just buying her fucking shop.....I don't even know why I'm sitting here explaining shit to you. Just go pack man."

"So its really over?"

"Yeah, it really is and it ain't no coming back. You didn't even think I could get a shop, why would I want you around me and you don't even support me? But you ain't got no problem spending my money though."

"You know what, I don't give a fuck. I done had a side nigga all this time any damn way! Fucking him raw and coming here letting you eat me out...HA!"

"Bitch you better be glad I ain't the type of nigga to put my hands on women cause it's taking everything for me to not knock yo hoe ass out. Hurry up and get yo shit."

She stormed into the closet and packed her stuff. I sat on my bed and put my head in my hands. Was this bitch really cheating on me? She's always here so I don't know when the fuck that could've happened. If that shit true then karma does work fast as hell.

"And everything that you bought today better be left in that fucking closet." I yelled.

"Suck a dick and die nigga!"

This bitch really testing me today.

Grabbing my phone I decided to dm April.

"So you can't help me with my bags?" Brittany said coming out of the closet.

"Fuck no!"

"Can't believe I let your sorry ass do me like this twice!"

"Yeah, poor you. Get the fuck out."

She shook her head and left out the room. I got up and went into the closet to make sure everything she bought was there, surprisingly it was.

Once I made sure she got away from my house I packed up everything and put in my truck. Hopefully all of the shit can be returned.

A few days later

I pulled up to the address April sent me. This damn house was two of mine put together. How much money does this girl have?!

Before I got out, I pulled out my money and made sure it was all there. I forgot Brittany still had a key to my place and she tried to sneak in the other night. Had to get everything changed this morning.

Climbing out my truck I headed up to her door and rang the doorbell. A few minutes later she opened the door in a huge sweatshirt that looked like mine, her hair on top of head. I stepped inside her house and almost passed out, it was hot as hell.

"April what the fuck? It's 87 degrees outside, why the hell is it so hot in here?"

"It's freezing and I'm sick, that's why."

I could hear the cold all in her chest

"You trying to have a heat stroke."

"Do you have my money?"

"Yeah I do." I passed her an envelope with everything in it.

"Let me make sure yo girlfriend sing steal again."

"I'm a single man baby girl."

"Oh okay." She walked away and I followed behind her. As we made our way, wherever we were going I glanced around. "This is a nice house April."

"Thank you. I think I went a little overboard, it's kind of too much just for me."

"I think it's perfect for you."

"I guess I gotta used to it."

"I can come spend the night if you want me to. So you won't be so lonely here."

"Thanks but no thanks." She laughed while plopping down on the couch. I sat next to her. "Okay let's count this money."

"It's all there, but go ahead."

"Yeah, you said that last time."

I laughed. "That's true." Grabbing the remote I cut on her tv and relaxed more.

"Make yourself right at home then."

"Don't mind if I do."

She shook her head and went back to counting. Once she was finished she got up and disappeared somewhere. A few minutes later she came back with a folder and keys.

"Here you go." April handed everything to me. "That's a copy of our lease agreement in that folder and to be nice I wrote down a few business ideas for you and here are the keys to building."

I took them from her and smiled from ear to ear. I couldn't believe this was actually happening. "Thank you again April."

"No problem. Thank you for taking it off my hands. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go lay down before I faint."

I stood up and felt her forehead. "You're burning up."

"I feel terrible."

"Let me help you feel better. I mean it's the least I can do."

"Keith, I'm a big girl I can get rid of my cold."

"I know but I wanna help. You don't need to be on your feet anyway, especially if you feel like you're going to faint."

"Keith."

"April." I grabbed her hand and made her lay on the couch. I grabbed a pillow she had and put it under her head then covered her up with a blanket laying on the back of the couch. "You got soup and tea or do I need to run to the store."

"I meant to grab some the other day but I haven't been able to get out of bed."

"Alright, well ima go grab some stuff, I'll be back shortly."

"You really don't have to do this."

"You want anything back?"

She smirked and bit down on her lip. "Some ice cream, please."

"I'll be back."

"Take my house key so I won't have to get up."

I grabbed my the keys and headed out.

It took me a while to find a store but I quickly grabbed everything and headed back to her place. When I got there she was fast sleep, so I went and made everything for her. She just had to have a super fancy kitchen, it took forever for me to figure shit out.

Once it was done, I placed everything on a tray and took it to her.

"April, wake up."

Her eyes slowly opened and she looked up at me. "Ugh I feel worse." She whined.

"Here, I made you some tea and you gotta take this medicine."

"Yuck, I hate cough syrup."

"You wanna feel better right?"

"Yeah but that's nasty."

"I'll pin you down and force feed it to you. Hurry up and take it."

"Fine." She snatched the little cup from me and took the medicine. "Gross!"

"Eat some soup so that the taste can go away."

She grabbed the bowl and started eating. "Oh my gosh, I finally feel warm."

"Good."

While she ate, I grabbed the snacks I got for myself. "So besides the new house and car and all of that, what have you been up to?"

"Work. That's all I have time for now."

"It's paying off."

"It is. But once my new shop is all set up I think I'm going to take a break."

"Yeah don't overwork yourself."

"What have you been up to?"

"Trying to find a shop but that's over now. I guess I'll work on getting everything set up and finding employees."

"Another tip, make sure to always have somebody that can take walk-ins. You never know who might come rushing in."

"I'll keep that in mind."

"Yeah."

It got quiet. April focused on her soup and I focused on her.

"I'm sorry April, for everything happened. I did you bold and you didn't even deserve that. I should've just talked to you but I wasn't thinking straight."

"You don't have to apologize."

"I do. I left without you knowing, reconnected with somebody that I shouldn't have then I just bashed you. I'm sorry."

"I wasn't the easiest person to deal with and I made things hard for you when I shouldn't have. If anything I should be apologizing."

"We both had our flaws."

"Yeah, we did. Nobody's perfect though."

"That's true. But I just want you to know that I still love and care for you."

She took a deep breath and put her bowl down. "This headache is killing me, I think I'm going to go back to sleep."

I nodded. "Come here." I patted my lap.

"I don't want to get you sick."

"I'm fine."

She crawled over to me and laid her head in my lap. "Thank you again Keith."

"You're welcome."

3:28am

I jumped up out my sleep and glanced around. Picking up my phone to look at the time and seeing that it was late as hell and I had to drive all the way to the other side of town.

Gently I shook April so that she could wake up. Her body squirmed then her eyes opened. She looked up at me then sat up.

"How you feeling?" I asked.

"Better. Thanks to you."

"Good. Well it's late, I didn't mean to fall asleep."

"How late?"

"3:30 in the morning." I chuckled.

"Damn."

"Yeah, I got a long drive so ima head out." I stood up and stretched.

"Keith, don't you think it's a little late to be driving. I know you're tired."

"Yeah but I'll be fine."

"You just took care of me, I'm not about to send you home at this time of night. I have more than enough space, you can leave later on."

"You sure?"

She nodded.

"Alright."

"Come oh I'll show you the guest bedroom." She tried to stand up but I guess she was still dizzy so she sat back on the couch.

"Or we can just sleep right here." I said

"Yeah cause my body doesn't want to move."

I laughed while taking off my shirt and shoes. Thankfully I had on sweats today. "You got some extra blankets?"

April pointed to a door while staring hard at my body. I smirked and went where she told to and grabbed a bigger cover.

I went and laid on the couch and told her to come here. She slowly got up and laid on top of me.

"You're so damn warm." She got more comfortable. "If you get sick this is your fault,"

"Hush up and go to sleep."

"I can't even front. I've missed this."
