~~~Avengers Pov~~~~~
They were waiting in silence for Sam to join them. They watched as he walked by with Y/n clinging to his side and he looked at them and shrugged. Fury had informed everyone that she wasn't working with or for Hydra and that it was no longer their most important issue.

When Sam joined everyone he sat down in a chair between Steve and Clint. They all looked up to Fury who took a dee breath and then started talking. "I just want to start off by saying good job in finding Y/n and even brining back the other kid with her. The situation is different now that we have the both of them now. Hydra is probably really pissed off right now so we need to act quick."

They spend the next 45 minutes discussing their next steps. A lot of the ideas included just fighting off all the Hydra goons but they all knew no matter how much they wanted it to work, it wouldn't. Eventually Fury quieted them to regroup.

"Right now we have both of Hydras top weapons. If we can, we need to get Eli to remember and turn to our side like Steve did with Bucky. Otherwise... he could escape and he'd be even more angry at us. More motivated. Any ideas how?"

It was silent and everyone was looking at Steve. "I got Bucky to remember me by just letting him hit me and not fighting back. I knew there was a little of him left in there and it brought him out. But you can't do that to Y/n. I can't let you."

Fury looked at Steve with an almost concerned look on his face. "And why not? I know you all care for Y/n but frankly I could care less. This is about taking down Hydra and keeping the people safe. We wouldn't let him kill her."

They started arguing until Nat noticed Steve had stood up and was staring out the window. In a split second he was up and at the window yelling after someone. Everyone turned to the window to see and they could tell by the y/h/c hair it was Y/n.

They ran to the door and realized it was propped closed.

"God dammit y/n" Bucky was shaking his head.

The windows were reinforced to be extremely bullet proof so there was no breaking the glass. It took Bucky, Steve, and even Thor about 5 minutes to bust the door down.

Before the door even hit the ground they were all running towards the holding cells. The door to the back room was open but the cell door was still closed. Steve threw open the cells doors and stopped suddenly. Everyone else filed behind him, but not going into the cell.

The Eli kid was in the corner huddled in a ball, hand in his lap it looked like he was crying. Y/n was lying on the ground, her face and body was bruised and bloody. Steve lifted her from the ground and the other kid stood from the corner.

Tears were still falling from his face. "Is she going to be ok?"

Steve didn't respond. He just sent a glare to him and left the room. The door was closed behind him as Steve started to run to the roof. Once there he handed her over to Thor and he flew her to the nearest hospital.

He watched as they got smaller and smaller until he couldn't see them anymore. He met everyone else in the garage where they all drove to the hospital.

She was in surgery for a few hours and they all stood or paced in the waiting area. A doctor came to them and brought them to her recovery room when they were finished. She was going to make it.

Now it had been a day and she was still asleep. Sam, Nat, and Steve had stayed at the hospital with her until she woke up. Everyone else went back to the tower to investigate the other kid.

Tony and Bucky watched the kid through the mirror. He only ever moved to pace the room, but he never spoke. They watched him for around half and hour and finally entered the room. When they opened the doors he backed into a corner and panic filled his eyes.

Tony just looked him up and down and Bucky spoke. "Do you know your name?"

The kid looked at him and nodded. "Eli. Is she ok?! I just... I don't even remember the last few years and all the sudden m i'm just punching her and she's on the ground passed out!!"

Tony nodded. "Yea no dip, we know. We think she'll be fine no thanks to you of course." Bucky shot him a look and Eli looked incredibly upset. "I was just like you. I know it's hard but you can rebuild yourself, regain control."

Eli looked into his reflection in the mirror. "All I remember is being shot and watching as she ran. I thought I would die. It would've been better if I did. I hate this person. I'm not this person."

Tony just chuckles. "Well whatever you say but you're staying here for a while, or at least until we can confirm it's you and not the murderous soldier."

Bucky shoots him another glare and they both turn to walk out of the cell. The kid just slumps against the wall and stares into the ceiling. Tony and Bucky leave and meet everyone else in the kitchen.

"Any word on Y/n?" Bucky asked and looked around the group for answers.

Everyone just shook their heads and stared into their glasses. Tony and Bucky joined the others in having a drink and they all slumped onto the couch. Fury walked into the room just as Tony sat down.

"So we got the kid under control. Now we gotta get the information outta him and use it against Hydra. Then we can-"

Clint whipped around to Fury. "Jesus Nick give us time! Let us break and make sure Y/n is ok!!" He snapped. Although Clint and Y/n weren't the closest he cared and he was pissed. They all were.

Fury stood wide eyed, offended. Without saying another word he left the room. They sat in silence again until Buckys phone buzzed. He looked down at his phone and back up at the group.

"She's awake"
