Shrithik came back late at night when Sameera was in bed. She heard him but didn't bother to check on him. She was sleepy.

Next day when she woke up Shrithik was going somewhere. She didn't get the chance to ask him where he was going because he left quickly.

Seven days passed in the same way. Sameera cooked and cooked for one because Shrithik never ate anything. She was worried as to why he was acting the way he was acting.

And she got a perfect opportunity to ask him.
It was 7:00p.m. and Sameera was sitting on the sofa. As usual he was out of the house but he came back to take something. He entered the house with Sameera's eyes stuck on him. He entered his room, did something there and was once again ready to leave.

And that was when she asked

"Where are you going."

He didn't reply. He started going but she stood up and held his wrist that was on the door knob.

"Old man. I asked where you are going."

She asked and he looked at her with dangerous eyes.

"None of your business."
He snarled and that shocked her.

Her hand dropped from his but she stepped closer to him.

"What has happened old man. Please tell me. Why are you being so-"

"It's none of you goddamn buisness."

He snarled once again.
She looked at him softly and once again with a calming voice spoke

"It is. You are my roommate, old man. How can I-"
Shrithik was slightly disappointed that she saw him as a mere roommate but he had something else sucking his soul.

"And you don't need to worry about your roommate that much."
He snapped and she flinched.
But holding his hand she stopped him from turning around once again.

"But you are my friend right? You are acting so strange. That-"

"That's how I am Sameera. Leave me. I have to go."
He said in a calm manner snatching his hand away.

"No you are not. At least tell me what-"
She again tried persuing.

"It's none of your fucking buisness goddamit. Why can't you understand?!"
He shouted and she set her jaw.

"What is so private that you can't tell me? Huh? You have not been eating at home. You are not here most time. How the hell I am not supposed to worry? What the-"

"Why do you care?"
He asked angrily with narrowed eyes. She was irritating him.

"Because I love you!"
She snarled and took deep breaths. He stilled for a moment but remained calm.

"I care because I love you. Just tell me that everything's okay."
She said with almost pleading eyes but his remained emotionless.

"You shouldn't Sameera. You shouldn't care."
He whispered and turned around.

"Shrithik. Please. List-"
She kept her hand oh his shoulder but soon her face was jerked to a side.
A loud slapping noise echoed through their silent house and in a flash tears fell through her eyes without even touching her cheek.

With red angry eyes, Sameera looked at him to find his hand in the air. But what surprised her to the core was that he was not even bothered that he slapped her.

"Look. You shouldn't care about someone who is not even bothered about you."
He said in a mean manner and turned around.

Sameera looked at him with her tear filled angry eyes. She never imagined that he could do something like that.

But what she didn't know was that his heart was burning looking at his fingerprints on her cheek.

"Wait!"
She shouted and he stopped dead in his track but stayed in his position. And then he felt a strong kick between his legs. Immediately he bent down groaning in pain. Looking back he saw her wiping her tears.

"Go to hell! Die! I don't care."
Saying this she slammed the door shut so loudly that almost everyone living on that floor came out.

Sameera wiped her tears and called Shrey. He picked her phone and his sleepy voice spoke

"Hello?"

"H-hello. Shrey?"

Shrey opened his sleepy eyes and sat alert when he heard a sobbing voice.

"Sameera?"

"Yes. It's me. C-call your friend and tell him that he can't live with me anymore."
She said and sobbed at the end.

Shrey, with his brows furrowed asked

"Why? What happened and why are you crying?"

When he asked this Sameera couldn't control her irregular breathing and sobs.

"He slapped me, Shrey. I even told him that I loved him. But he still did that. I-I can't believe it. He did not even regret it. I-"
She couldn't say anymore as her breathing quickened.

Shrey was now an angry mess. He knew there must be some reason because his friend can never do something like that but he still slapped her. And that's absolutely wrong.

"You wait Sameera. In this instant I'll come there and beat the life out of him. He'll not be-"

"No! There's no need for any of that. Just......just tell him to leave. I.......I can't live with him now. I'll not. Please Shrey. Otherwise......maybe I'll kill him."
Her voice took a dark tone at the end.

Love or not, Shrithik or not, her self respect can not be brusied. She'll not let anyone crumble her pride. Doesn't matter she's weak behind him or strong. It definitely doesn't.

"Okay. I'll tell him. But please Sameera don't worry okay. It must've been-"

"I know that you are going to say that there must've been some reason and all. But what he did is not what anyone should do in any reason. Just tell him that he can't live with me anymore. Tell him to come and take his belongings after 9 as I'll be in my room. I'll keep the door open. I don't want to see his face anymore. Thankyou and bye."

"Okay. Bye."

Sameera hung up and Shrey quickly dialed Shrithik's number. But once again he didn't pick up. He tried 22 time but his phone was switched off.

Shrey threw his phone on the ground and plopped back on the bed rubbing his face.

"Why Shrithik? Why? In so many years you got someone who took care of you and love you and you are pushing her away. Why?"
He mumbled to himself and his roommate laughed.

"You got a nice couple as friends. That guy and that girl, they seem......."

"Complicated?"
Shrey asked looking at his Love Guru friend and he nodded.

"They are. But they are not. You know, they got the same likings, same mindset and they even realise things at the same times. You know when you talked to him and made him realise that he liked her?"

He asked and his friend nodded.

"2 days before that day, Sameera messaged me saying that she likes him. And I know that he loves her too. It's really frustrating me, bro. Why the hell did he-"

"Leave all that. Have you prepared anything? Our exams start after three days."

Shrey looked at him and sighed. But then a bulb lit in his brain.

"What's the date today?"

"Umm....... it's 16 October."

Shrey sat up and searched for Sharad Purnima and it was on 20th.

With a horror filled face he looked up at his friend and immediately dialed Sameera's number.

She had calmed down and was reading a murder mystery. A really cruel one to be specific.

And suddenly her phone rang. Seeing that it was Shrey she picked it up.

"Hello? Did you tell him?"

"Sameera it's really important. He was acting the way he was because three days later it is-"

But before she could listen to the main thing the door of her house opened and Shrithik came in with two bags.

"I'll call you in a minute Shrey. Your friend is here."

Saying this she hung up. And then looked at Shrithik.

"I think Shrey has told you about the thing. Right?"
She asked but he didn't reply insted took out six beer bottles and different types of knifes from the bags.

Then motioning them towards Sameera he said

"Take these. Hurt me as much as you want. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have slapped you."
He said in an emotionless voice and she snorted.

"I don't need to hurt anyone to release my anger or take revenge. You've said sorry that enough. Even if you don't feel like it. Just pack your bags and leave. Even if I'm in love wi-"

She was cut of by him breaking the bottle on his head. She flinched and asked him

"What are you doing."

He broke one more on his head and answered
"Punishing myself that I hurt you. I'm sorry."

She stepped forward but flinched back when he broke one more.

"Don't be ridiculous old man!!"

He once again broke one on his head and answered

"I'm not being ridiculous, sweetheart. It's right. What I'm doing is right."

She couldn't say more as he took two bottles and broke them on his head. She just stood there flinching but when she saw him picking up the knife and angling it to his stomach she ran towards him and held his.

By now tears were already in her eyes and her lips were trembling.

"Please. Stop it. Already you've done enough."

She whispered looking at his dark brown eyes.

"Yeah. I have and that's why I have to just......"
He trailed off and snatched his hand away from hers and cut his hand. He was gonna stab himself in the stomach when he felt her hugging him.

"Please. Do you really think of me like a worthless roommate. Please listen to me. Stop it. Please."

She heard the knife drop from his hand and his hand slowly went towards her neck.

Pulling her from her neck he looked at her teary, worried eyes with his own dull ones.

"I'm not worth of this care sweetheart. Why don't you understand?"

He asked her in a broken manner but she just pressed her lips in thin line.

"Please. I beg you. Just sit there. Let me bring a first aid box."
She said to him and he started shaking his head but she pressed.

"I beg you old man. Please."
He sighed and sat on the sofa. Samera smiled a little and went to bring the first aid box. Two minutes later she came back with a wet towel and a lot of ointments.

She wiped his blood with the wet towel and then started applying cream on it. But he held her hand.

She was about to snap at him when he moved her hand to his wounds. She thought that he'll flinch but instead of anything like that a pinkish blue light came where her fingers were touching on his wounds.

She watched as he moved her hands on his wounds and the light came and she also saw that as her hands were proceeding to the next wounds, the old ones got healed.

When all his wounds were healed by Sameera he snaked his hands on her waist and pressed his face with her chest.

"I'm tired. But I can't. I'm sorry."
He started mumbling things like that and she combed his hair by her fingers.

"Then don't. Don't do anything. Just sleep. Rest and you'll be fine."

He shook his head in no and nuzzeled himself more in her.
Hesitantly she offered.

"Wanna sleep with me?"

Immediately he stood up and started going outside. Thinking that if he'll stay a second more, she'll persuade him to stay but it's for the best that they stay away.

Sameera couldn't even speak before he was out of her sight. She was a little angry but that anger also left when she saw those glass pieces.

He really was sorry. But a different thought made it's way into her mind.

"Did he do that because he knew that he'll heal?"

Sharad Purnima:

According to Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran, the moon is considered to be the god of medicine. On this day the moon completes its 16 arts and showers nectar. Apart from the beliefs, scientists have also described this full moon as special, behind which many theoretical and scientific facts are hidden. On this full moon kheer made of rice and milk is kept on moonlit night and consumed at 4 in the morning. This eliminates diseases and increases immunity.

According to another scientific research, a product made from milk should be consumed in a silver vessel on this day. Silver has more resistance. This keeps the virus away. Everyone should take a bath of Sharad Purnima for at least 30 minutes.

The atmosphere created on this day is considered especially beneficial for asthma patients.According to a study, the pulsating power of medicines is high on Sharad Purnima. That is, the effect of the drugs increases, due to the attraction of the substance, when the substance inside becomes concentrated, then a special type of sound is produced from the vacuoles. Lankadhipati Ravana used to receive the rays on the night of Sharad Purnima through a mirror at his navel. Through this process he would get rejuvenating power. A person who walks in less clothes between 10 and 12 midnight on a moonlit night gets energy.
Somachakra, Nakshatra Chakra and Ashwin's triangle result in accumulation of energy from autumn and control in spring.

According to scientists, milk contains lactic acid and nectar. This element exploits a greater amount of power from the rays. The starch in the rice makes this process even easier. For this reason, sages have made a law to keep kheer in the open sky on the night of Sharad Purnima and the consumption of this kheer is said to be important for health. This increases the rejuvenation power and immunity. This tradition is based on science.
