She woke up an hour later. On the bed. She remembered that Shrithik came and gave her food and she slept on the sofa. And now she is on the........bed?
A sudden panick arose but was quickly surpressed by the possibility of Shrithik carrying her.

She held her head and made a confused expression. Was she really that much of a deep sleeper that somebody changed her place and she didn't even know?

Leaving all the confusion and panick aside she made her way to the bathroom to make herself look a little presentable.
Upon coming out she made her way to the boys' room as none of her friends were in her room. As she neared the room she could hear laughing so she was sure that her friends were in there.

The ghostly sound of the door slowly opening caught her friends' attention which caused them to stop talking. Each head turned toward the door which slowly opened and revealed Sameera.

Sameera scanned everyone's face, including Jay and Madhu and then spoke

"Hey"

"Hey Sameera. You know we were just talking about you."
Madhu exclaimed smiling.
Sameera smiled back and questioned

"About me? Why?"

"I told you no, that I haven't decided my wedding dress yet? So we were going to the designer and you were the only one missing. Now that you are here, shall we go?"

"Of course, we shall."

She spoke and turned her head towards Shivam and he winked at her and then blushed himself.

Sameera let out a little laugh and went towards him.
"You practicing how to wink?"

She asked and he nodded blushing.
She laughed and he hit her head.

"Don't get to ahead of yourself that I winked at you. You are the only one who will not think anything wrong and instead wink me back."

"Should I take the last part as an insult or a compliment."

"Insult."
He said and laughed loudly like a monster.

"Come on you two."
Maaya hit both of their heads and went out of the room with Shrishti rolling her eyes behind her.

As they reached the car Raj and Shivam went somewhere else on their bike and once again Sameera was to sit beside Jay.

Jay and Sameera both were quiet the whole ride. Somehow Shrishti was able to sense the slight tension between them. She quickly messaged Sameera

Shrishti:
Did something happen between you and Jay?"

Sameera took her phone out of the side pocket of her back pack and replied.

Sameera:
He likes me.

Shrishti:
About time you realised.
But did something happen? You two were really friendly a day before. And right now there is a serious expression on both of you face and you're not talking.

Sameera:
I can never write this much in a go.
You are great.

Shrishti:
Shut up.
Now tell me did something happen?

Sameera:
My hiccups stopped.

Shrishti:
Fine.
Don't tell me.
Idiot.

Shrishti threw her phone in her purse and glared at Sameera through the rear view mirror. Sameera turned her head to the other side trying to control her laugh.

They stopped in front of a mall. They got out of the car, and made their way inside. This time along with Jay. Madhu ordered him to stay. It's not like he can do something else.

Once again they made their way to the top floor. Once again the top floor was screaming rich. And once again they were greeted by an old lady.

She led them to a room which was full of different kinds of wedding dresses of different relegion.

"Lily! Bring Ms.Singhal's selected dresses."
The old lady yelled and just about two minutes later a girl about 24 years in age came holding five dresses.

Where Pihu liked the first one the most, Maaya and Shrishti like the fourth one.

"That fourth one is beautiful. You should take that."
Shrishti spoke and Maaya nodded.

"It is good. But I like the first one."
Pihu said and Madhu nodded, looking in a deep thought.

"Do Rock paper scissors. Whoever wins will have the dress final from their choice."
Jay said and Maaya laughed.

"It's childish but a very good idea."
Madhu was still in a deep thought. All the five dresses were beautiful.
Then she turned to Sameera.

"Sameera? Any suggestions?"

Sameera looked up from her phone and spoke

"You'll not like it much."

"We will see. Now tell me your suggestion."

"Well, I'll go for the red saree."

"The red one is too bright and bold."

" It's also very dark."
Maaya and Pihu spoke one by one and Sameera turned towards Madhu with a bored expression.

"See? That's why I said you'll not like it. Do the rock paper scissor thing."

Saying this she once again started scrolling something on her phone.

Jay felt as if she was degrading herself and was thinking that her choice was bad. Mustering up some courage he leaned towards her and spoke

"Why do you say that she will not like what you chose. Do you think that your choice is bad?"

Sameera looked up from her phone at Jay, really appreciating his guts that he decided to talk to her. Leaning back on her chair she spoke

"No. It's just that my choice is not common. Not among boys. Not among girls. Otherwise what I think is that my choice is definitely better than theirs."

Jay made a confused expression. He was understanding what she was saying but he was not able to understand it at the same time.

Sameera sighed. Nobody could understand what she said.

"What I mean is that my friends and most girls and boys have mostly different preferences than me. Like I'll choose red over brown, blue over pink, pink over peach, white over black and believe me people always choose black over white. I usually like deep and dark colour rather than pastel colours. But my friends prefer pastel colours."

Now that she explained a little, Jay understood what she was saying.

"So you believe that your choice is better."
Pihu asked sitting beside her and Sameera nodded.

"Definitely."

Lily laughed hearing her.
"You have a good self confidence."

Sameera smiled.
"Yeah, I suppose."

Once again Pihu and Lily both left, leaving Jay and Sameera alone.

"I.....uh....I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that yesterday. I'm really sorry."
Jay said lowering his eyes to the ground.

"You should be. And do you know that you are really lucky that you are my friend's brother. Otherwise you would have been in hospital by now."

Jay looked up at her and then turned his face to the other side.

"It was really unexpected and very shameful of you to do th- kiss me. It's not something someone coming from a good family would do."

That stung. It really stabbed him. He looked up at her to find her face graced with a small smile.

"I know. I'm aware of that. But I like you."

"Well, I don't. Not in that way. You are a good guy, coming from a good family, you are handsome but I don't feel anything for you. I don't like you, I don't dislike you. I've absolutely nothing for you. If you want we can definitely stay in touch and continue as friends."

Saying this she looked out of the ceiling to floor window just beside her and found something hilarious in the traffic on the road.

Jay nodded and asked

"Do you like someone else?"

Just as he asked it she saw Shrithik. Wearing the same clothes as before, he was walking towards the same building in which she was. For some reason when he smiled and picked up a cat from the footpath, her heart started beating rapidly. She couldn't hear anything other than her own heartbeats.
She couldn't see anything other than him and the cat in his hand. She was breathing hard. Anybody could mistake that she had ran a marathon.

She came out of her trance when Jay shook her. She was starteled and held her head.

"Uh....you....you asked something?"

Jay was confused very much. Sameera zoned out for five minutes, by the clock, looking into nothing but traffic?

"Yeah. I did."

She looked down feeling her heart rate slow down.

"What? What did you ask?"

"I asked if you like someone else?"

"I don't think so."

Jay nodded and asked the girls

"Are you done?"

"Yeah. We finaled the rose gold one. You know majority wins."
Pihu said with a slight pout and Madhu chuckled.

"Let's get going then."
Saying this Jay stood up and made their way out.

"Let's eat something. I'm starving."
Pihu spoke and Maaya and Sameera agreed.

"You people go we'll bring something."
Maaya spoke and dragged Sameera with her.

"I heard you talking to Jay. Did he really kiss you?"

Sameera waved her off.
"No. It was just a peck on the lips. And I didn't tell you because you'll either suggestively wiggle your eyebrows and try to set me for him or you'll insult him. And I don't want you to do any of that."

Maaya chuckled and nudged her. Sameera questioned her with her expression and Maaya turned her head towards the opposite direction. Sameera followed her gaze and saw what she was trying to show her.

"Want me to do something about that?"
Maaya asked teasingly and Sameera just stood there dumbstruck.

Jay and Shrishti were talking to each other laughing and may I say to the other person watching from far away, very flirtatiously.

Watching Sameera's expression Maaya was sure that she was jealous. And yes she was. But not because of Jay, she was feeling jealous because Shrithik was sitting on the table directly behind Shrishti's and was ogling her. With a stupid big grin.

When Shrithik was on the street he picked up a cat. Upon getting picked into nothing but thin air the cat was panicked. And just like in cartoons it had all his hair standing.
Shrithik was just thinking about that funny incident and laughing in his mind. That's why he had that big grin on his face.

Sameera was fuming. Her whole body was burning. Immediately she took out her stress ball and started pressing it. She was not a fool to not know what she was feeling and why she was feeling it.

She had realised in that moment that she liked him. She liked him very much. And the amount of sadness she was feeling to know that the guy she likes, likes one of her bestfriends, was immeasurable.

"No. It's not in our hands. Not in mine, not in yours."
Saying this she turned to the counter and ordered french fries and burgers and a fruit juice.

Maaya looked at her weirdly. When she heard her talking to Jay, Sameera clearly said that she has no feelings for him. Then why is she acting so.....strange now?

"Come on let's go."

Saying this Sameera made her way towards her other friends. With her eyes solely focusing on one person who was sitting behind them.

Shrithik got a jerk and lifted his eyes up, yawning. And soon his eyes met hers.
And everything stopped.
