Jay arrived after 15 minutes. Sameera and Maaya were sitting quietly while the other three were talking to the make-up artist when Jay entered that parlour. The first person whose eyes met his was Pihu. But he moved on to Sameera.
She who was sitting with her head Maaya's shoulder, sat up straight involuntary. Jay had the power to pin her on her place and only some people can do that. If she is remembering perfectly than there are only four people. First being her mum, second Shrithik, third Jay and fourth was the pomeranian dog of her neighbour whome she teases.

"Let's get going."
Jay said and turned around, breaking eye contact with Sameera. The girls followed after him till the elevator. But after coming out of the elevator, case was not the same.

Pihu, Madhu and Shrishti were at the front with Maaya a little after them. And then Jay and Sameera walked side by side slowly.

"You look exhausted." He stated and she looked up.

"I do?"
He nodded.

"Well I am. I'm tired you know. These girls forced me to get a facial, manicure, pedicure and what not. Do you know that I have never actually massaged my face? And now everything in one day has exhausted me."

Jay chuckled.
"You know you are really different from Madhu. She gets all these things done every month."

This time Sameera chuckled.
They have now exited the mall still in the same sequence.
Pihu turned around and started back walking and asked

"Jay Bhaiya! Where's the car?"

"In the parking lot of that apartment building. On that corner!"

"That far? It will take us five minutes to even reach there.!"

"There was no space here. Now keep quiet and walk properly!"
Pihu nodded and once again turned around occasionally smiling on the kids walking on the footpath.

"So do I look better? I've got these things done first time in my life."
Sameera asked jokingly rubbing her cheeks and then making a quite cute face.

He whipped his head up. What kind of question was that. First thing was that she was beautiful and second was even if she wasn't, why will anybody tell her that? Why?

Instead of replying he pulled her by her waist towards him. She was startled. She placed her hands on his shoulder and gripped them tightly to maintain her balance. With a mixed angry-confused expression she asked

"What are you-"
But she was cut off by a peck. On the lips. She looked at him in the eye breathing heavily. What did he just do?
Did he just kiss her? Goddamit she has known him for four days, he was her friend's cousin brother and they were standing on the footpath of a busy road.
She clenched her jaw looking at the slightly hesitant, slightly satisfied and slightly happy expression of Jay.
He was feeling every emotion. He was happy, sad, afraid, satisfied, and angry. He was angry on himself. Who the hell kisses a girl without her permission whome he has met mere four days ago.

Suddenly he pulled her more into his chest and turned them around causing his back to face the road. And then water splashed all over him. She hid her head slightly in his shoulder to prevent from getting wet, then looked up at him to find him breathing hard.
The water was ice cold. He already knew that a car was coming and was going to splash water, that's why he pulled her towards her, but he couldn't resist and lightly pecked her.

"Oi Romeo! Show your love somewhere else not on the footpath. Now give me way!"
A vendor snarled causing them to seperate and he pushed passed them bumping shoulders rudely.

She looked down at the ground and the started walking towards the building where his car was parked. Jay followed her thinking that he has messed up. And he actually had.

Reaching her friends she looked at them with a straight face.

"Oh my god Jay. You are totally wet."
Madhu exclaimed. Jay didn't take his eyes off of Sameera, who was looking down and her face and expression were not actually visible.
Then he spoke
"Just a car splashed some water. Let's get going."
Everybody nodded and this time Sameera, quietly but willingly sat in the passenger seat. Jay was surprised at that. But unfortunately, he couldn't show his surprise or ask her about it clearly.

During the ride back he kept glancing at her but still couldn't see her expression as she was facing towards the window.
It was when their car stopped at a red light, she saw a 14 year old boy bullying a 7 seven year old. They both were Street boys. She was actually not gonna do anything about it but as
they were not far away, she heard what the boy was saying
"Give me the money you motherfucker!Give me the fucking money!"

Sameera already didn't like the kids who cursed and now her mood was also a little off. And then Shrithik's rage filled red face flashed before her eyes and his words
"His life could be ruined sweetheart!"

She turned to Jay and spoke
"Sorry for the inconvenience but I've got a really important thing to do, it's your wish if you want to wait here or not, I'll come to your house. Bye!"

Without wasting a minute she got out of the car and went towards the boys and stood behind them. There were total five boys, four on the bullying team and one who was getting bullied. With a very strict gaze and tone she asked
"What are you doing?"

The boys looked towards her, the small boy on the verge of tears while the other teenagers looked at her with a bored expression.

"None of your business."
The leader spoke. She nodded and pulled the small boy towards her.

"What are you doing? Leave from here, you cunt."
And that was the trigger. She slapped that boy really hard that his face turned to the side. With an angry gaze he looked towards her and to beat her he started to make a move but she held his hand.

"*Slap* do you know the*slap* meaning of *slap* cunt? Do you know *slap* the meaning of motherfucker *backhand slap*. You little-little boys, teenagers *slap* don't know anything *slap* still swear. What's your age?"

She asked the now crying boy. He chose not to answer her and turned his head to the opposite direction.
She gritted her teeth and held his ear. With a great force she turned his head towards her and asked calmly

"What's your age?"

"14"
That boy spoke and Sameera looked at the other terrified kids and raised her eyebrows, asking them their age silently.

She got various answer between 15 to 12.
She turned the boys ear.
"Grow up. It's not cool to swear. And now I swear to god if I ever see you bullying anyone or heard you cursing then I'll break your limbs. And you four-"

"Yes!"

"-Same for you."
She once again slapped the back head of that bully and waved them off. Then she turned towards the bullied boy and snarled at him

"You can't protect yourself? Beat someone if they bully you and don't you dare swear got it? I can break your limbs also. Got it?"
She said to the crying boy crouching down to his level. That small boy nodded with tears falling from his eyes.

"Stop crying otherwise I'll slap you also."
She threatened and that boy tightly packed his mouth as to not make any sound. He was petrified of Sameera. The way she slapped that big boy twisting his arm and ear was a really terrifying thing for that small boy and now he was also threatened by her.

Sameera chuckled and stood up taking out a handkerchief and handing it to the boy. Jay and everyone else were also in her mind and she didn't forget them. She actually never forgets her friends but just acts indifferent. And now also she did that.

The boy took it and wiped his tears still sobbing. She hugged him and as she was very tall than him he wrapped his arms around her stomach. Sameera combed his hair with her fingers and cooed him.

Jay parked his car at the side of  the road and everyone was watching her. They were surprised not by how she......cruelly handeled the bully. No, it was not a surprise. They were surprised by how she was now cooing that small boy. Madhu was finding it extremely adorable that how that boy was hugging her stomach tightly hiding his face. How Sameera was smiling and saying something and combing his hair, rocking him. It was really adorable.

She took out about five chocolates from her backpack and handed them to the boy. Now, you must be wondering why she has so many chocolates in her bag. Isn't it obvious? For Shrithik ofcourse.

With a smile gracing her lips she went towards Jay's car and sat down.

"That was like really fun watching."
Pihu said and Sameera turned around.

"Really? We'll it was fun doing also."
They laughed and then sat quietly. Jay was feeling good that now she was in a better mood.
Upon reaching Singhal Mansion, without wasting a minute she got out of the car. This time walking with her friends, she made her way to her room. Totally ignoring Jay.

During the dinner also she sat between her friends, ignoring Jay and not even giving him a glance. It was about 8:30p.m. when she was in her room lying on the bed staring at the ceiling. Getting dark thoughts.

Sameera got really dark thoughts at night. In daylight she was able to cover her dark thoughts by acting goofy, but at night she was not able to do that. She got sad thoughts. Like really sad thoughts. She gets angry for no reason at nights. She was like a really serious version of herself at night. That's why she prefers to sleep a little early.

In the middle of her thoughts a hiccup broke through.

Maaya was sitting near the table with a jug of water.

"Maaya, pass --hiccup-- me some --hiccup-- water. Please."

Maaya nodded and gave her a glass full of water. Sameera chugged it down in one go and it was of absolutely no use, as she was still hiccuping.

She remembered last time when Shrithik lightly massaged her neck so she turned towards Shrishti and asked

"Can you --hiccup-- massage my neck? --hiccup-- please. Please."
She shook her head in no.

"Please --hiccup--. I've heard it helps. --hiccup-- Please! Please! Ple --hiccup-- ase. Please."
She sighed and nodded. So Sameera turned around hugging her knees. Shrishti lightly massaged her neck but it was also of no use. Her hiccups were not stopping.

"Looks like it's not working."
Maaya said and Sameera nodded hiccuping.

She got up and went to balcony taking deep breath but her hiccups still didn't stop. And soon she zoned out thinking about life, murder, adventure, Jay and Shrithik.

She came back to her senses when the light of her room switched off and Maaya came yawning.

"Come on. It's 10:30. Let's sleep."

"You --hiccup-- go. I'll sleep afterwards --hiccup--"

Maaya nodded and went inside followed by Sameera. She took a blanket and went to the balcony. Wrapping her blanket around herself she plugged him her earphones and played some songs.

She hiccuped once again. Now she's been hiccuping for two hours. She sighed wishing her hiccups to stop soon.
