Next hour was as expected: awkward as hell.
While Sameera thought that they'll be same as before when they slept together and he back hugged her. But it was nothing like that.

As soon as she saw him her heart started beating rapidly. She was afraid that he will be able to hear it. She tried to avoid his gaze, but it was a lot difficult when he was staring at her.

Shrithik was not intentionally staring at her, specifically at her lips. The only thing he could see were her lips. Now that they almost kissed, his curiosity of how her lips will feel was getting increased. Earlier, he was able to keep it at bay but not now.

They both were eating and suddenly the spoon fell from his hands causing him to break out of his trance.
He realised he was staring at her. He must really look like a creep. And who the hell stares at a person who you should be avoiding. He cursed himself inaudibly.

Picking up his spoon he kept his gaze at the food on his plate. Not even once lifting his gaze.
Sameera frowned. Just a minute before he was staring at her and now he was not even glancing at her. Is this guy bipolar or something?

She looked at the wall clock and nearly gasped. It was 7:30 and her flight was at eight fifteen. She quickly washed her plate and swung her bag on her shoulder. Picking up the phone from the table she ran towards the gates.

"Old man. I'm going!"

"Okay! Bring me some Mysore Pak."

"Can you atleast once in a while think of anything other than sweets. AND don't finish my fruit juice."

"Sorry Sweetheart. Not gonna happen."

Sameera glared at the figure who was sat on a chair, half turned around to watch her with amusement dancing in his eyes.

He pointed at the clock and said
"Look you are getting late. You don't want to get lectured by Shrishti and Maaya. Now do you?"

He asked and she looked at the clock. She dramatically gasped.

"Oh no! I'm getting in trouble."
Saying this she ran out of her house and took an auto.

After exactly 30 minutes she reached the airport. Fifteen minutes were still left for the flight so she was still on time.
Running inside she found her friends sitting on a corner chatting with each other. It was really odd that nobody called her till now.

She took a deep breath and went towards them. Raj was the first one to notice her. He was feeling really out of his comfort zone. Though Pihu was there, but Sameera was still the only person with whome he feels at total ease.

"Oh thank god you came. I really thought you forgot."
Pihu said and Sameera let out a small laugh.

"Not a chance. So......why are we sitting here?"

"Yes that, it's fifteen minutes late. So we'll depart at 8:30."

Sameera nodded and scanned faces of her friends for Jay. But couldn't find him.
She frowned.

Was he not coming? He was the only reason she agreed and he was not there. Maybe he went to washroom or somewhere. To not strain her almost non existent brain, she decided to ask about him.

"Where's Jay?"
She asked and every head turned towards her. Pihu, Maaya and Shrishti smiled knowingly while Shivam and Raj wondered why all the girls had a knowing smile.

"Miss me already?"
A velvety voice asked from behind her causing her to get startled. She looked behind her to find Jay and let out a breath.

"What's with you guys coming from behind and startling me?"
She asked and Raj and Shivam narrowed their eyes.

"Boys? As far as I know neither me nor Raj has ever came from behind you and startled you."

Sameera scratched her neck.

"You've never done that?"

They both shook their heads and she nodded.
"Oh my bad! No problem."

Jay laughed and swung his hand around her shoulder. She looked up at him and playfully glared at him. He just laughed and then asked

"Do you want something?"

Sameera looked looked at him confused so he explained further

"I was just going to get myself something to eat and I heard you loved fruit juices. So you want it?"
Sameera nodded.

"I'll also come. Let me just keep my bag."
Jay nodded and removed his arm from her shoulder. She kept her bag beside Maaya and patted her back pocket, assuring she had money.

"Come on. Let's go."
She said and looked up at Jay. He smiled and nodded. They made their way towards the shops talking about mindless things. If anyone from Jay's office was to listen him they definitely would have fainted. He was not exactly the cold, ruthless buisnessman, but he also wasn't the one to do mindless talking.

"What will you like?"
He asked Sameera taking out his wallet.

"I want...Amul apple juice."

He looked at her.
"That's all?"

"Yes. You want to spend your money?"
She asked and he chuckled.

"No."

He ordered a patties for himself and apple juice for her. Rest of her friends didn't want anything so he didn't mind getting something for them.

Sameera just stood behind him looking around her when she found a kid's shop. And the amount of happiness she felt was immense.

There were Bayblades and Pickachu plushies. There is not a big market for anime in India. Pokemon, Doraemon, Shinchan and Bayblade being exceptions.

Sameera didn't really like Doraemon and Shinchan but she was a huge fan of other two. She has searched whole market of the town in which she lived but she couldn't get a good Pickachu plushie. And it's only been one year since she shifted to Hyderabad. She didn't get the time to go in kid's shop which is always full of annoying little kids.

She tugged at Jay's shirt and he looked at her. She pointed at the shop and said

"I want a Pickachu plushie, so I am going to that shop. You wanna come?"

Jay looked at her amused. She was really different. He nodded and she skipped towards the shop.

Shrithik on the other hand just completed a movie and went to kitchen for a glass of water. He saw his phone on the kitchen counter and picked it up.
But unfortunately, it was not his phone. It was Sameera's. He spitted his water out.

He quickly dialed his number from her phone. No, she has a lock on her phone, but Shrithik knows it. Almost every friend of her's knows the lock of her phone.

Shrithik's phone blared in Sameera's bag beside which Shrishti was sitting. The ringtone startled everyone. Sameera usually picked BGM of action movies as her ringtone but this was something she could keep.

"Ugh. Can't she take her phone with herself?"
Shivam groaned and Raj patted his back.

"No."
He rolled his eyes at Shrishti's answer.

"Just pick it up. It's such an annoying ringtone."
Maaya said and Shrishti nodded.

Taking out the phone Shrishti's eyes widened. First of all, it was definitely not Sameera's phone. And second, some 'sweetheart' was calling.

Shrishti first silenced the phone and then showed it to her friends.

"Sweetheart?"

"Who the hell is this Sweetheart?"

"She didn't tell me, she is seeing someone."

"She doesn't tell us anything."

"Yeah. That's true. But still, it's a big topic and definitely more important than why Levi calls Hange four eyes."

Pihu looked at them confused. What are they talking? She has barely known Sameera for two months, so she doesn't know who Levi Ackermann and Hange Zoe are. And she was also not a anime watcher.

So she did what anybody else should, she stood up and went to call Sameera. It was easy to find her as she and Jay were both making their way back. Sameera didn't buy the plushie, at the end. Because she didn't have a place to keep it for now.

"Hey Sameera!"
Pihu yelled gaining their attention. She sped walk towards them and then spoke

"Somebody's calling you non stop."

Sameera furrowed her brows.

"Who?"

"I don't know, some 'sweetheart'."

"Sweetheart?"
She repeated. She has not saved anybody's number under the name sweetheart. Only Shrithik used the term sweetheart among the people she knew. Maybe-

"Oh shit!"
Realization dawned upon her and she all but ran.

Shrishti was just a second away from picking up the call but the phone was snatched away from her by Sameera.

"Hello?"

"Sweetheart you left your phone and took mine."

"Yeah, old man. I know it. I just saw."

"Just saw? I called you at least 7 times."

"Yeah. I was just......I went to the shop and the phone was kept in my bag."

"Okay. Leave that. How much time is left for your plane to take off?"

She looked at her watch and just 10 minutes were left.

"Just ten min-"

She was cut off by the speakers blaring the announcement of the departure.

"Can you wait? I'll just be there-"

"No there's no need. You won't be able to reach here at time."

"Don't worry Sweetheart. I'll be there in ten-"

"You're not a magician, old man. I said no need for you to come. I'll manage with this one only. Now bye."

"But swee-"

"BYE!"

Saying this she hung up to find all eyes on her.

"Who was that?"
Maaya asked.

"Just a friend."

"And who exactly is this friend?"
Shivam asked and she groaned.

"Don't embarrass me."
She said looking at Jay. He just nodded and looked down at his shoes as if they are the most interesting thing in the world.

"He's just a friend."
She spoke. But her conscious questioned her
Just a friend? Do you almost kiss your just friends?

"Are you sure this just friend of yours is not your boyfriend?"

She dramatically gasped.
"Of course, I am."

"That's good to hear. Now come on, let's go."

They nodded and made their to the plane.
Sameera's seat was beside Jay. Whether it was by coincidence or he did it, is still unknown.

"Jay?"

"Yes?"

"Can I take the window seat?"
She asked innocently. It always worked on Shrithik. Why is she thinking about him? Leave it.

"Of course."

"Thanks."
She said and sat down. Beside her Jay sat.
She quickly wore the seat belt and looked out of the window.

Jay watched as she looked out of the window. And how her hands tightly gripped his hand when the plane took off. If she would have been a little more powerful, she definitely would have broken his hand.

He lightly traced soothing circles on her hand with his other one. Her stiffened body relaxed and she let out a breath, she didn't realise she was holding.

"It's your first time?"
He asked and she nodded.

"Yeah."

He shook his head, smiling to himself.

"It's amazing."
She said, looking down at the city.

"Hey look. That cloud looks like a bear."
First hour of the two was spent like this. Sameera watching clouds and telling some shapes. And squealing from time to time like a child. The people in neighbouring seats also complained about how loud she was being.

Eventually, from all that squealing she got tired and slept on Jay's shoulder.
He was....comfortable.

Soon Jay also slept.
Maaya was coming back from toilet when she saw them.
She quickly called her friends.

Pihu actually cooed looking at Sameera whose head was resting on Jay's shoulder as she tightly gripped his hand. And Jay's head rested on her head while his hand held hers.

They quickly took some pictures and went back to their seats. All the girls had only one thought: they looked cute together.

Jay was also feeling very comfortable. Dare I say this but this one hour sleep has been the most peaceful sleep he had recently.
