After Xth Ahaan's father had gotten transferred back to Delhi, and once again Ahaan shifted with his parents. But this time, one incident back in school motivated him to pay attention to his looks, also fuelled his dedication. He had lost touch with his only friend, Abeer. And now, he is meeting her after nearly a decade. Like him, Abeer has changed a lot too. She too was healthy back in school, not as much as he but little. Now, she has become slimmer. Ahaan must admit she has transformed into a beautiful young woman.

'One black coffee and butter cookies and you?' Abeer asked Ahaan. After their reunion, they decided to catch up over coffee.

'Black coffee without sugar and eggless cake.' Ahaan ordered the waiter. Abeer watched him awed.

'What?' Ahaan raised his eyebrows. Abeer smiled at him shaking her head. Ahaan insisted and she smiled widely, 'Remember how you used munch on those oily crispy, deep fried food. I used to ask you so many times not to, but you.' She said resting her chin on her palm.

'That was then...this is me now, but I do have a cheat day.' Ahaan smiled, his fingers twirling the salt stand in between his fingers.

'Gym, shym? Dieting, cheat day? You have changed so much.' Abeer complimented

'You have changed too. You look beautiful.' Ahaan complimented sincerely.

'More than her?' Abeer's eyes twinkled as she said so. Ahaan said nothing but simply placed his hand over hers, 'I missed you.' he smiled

'I missed you too.' She placed her other palm over his.

Soon, their order came and both began silently having their snacks. There is a comfortable silence between the long-lost friends.

'So? Why have you rejected so many alliances and me too?' Ahaan smiled sipping his black coffee. Abeer nodded her head, 'Dude, if I knew it is you I am meeting I would have agreed.' Ahaan smiled as she said.

Abeer sighed and went on 'I am in love. She is a colleague of mine at the bank where I work.' she said sadly.

Ahaan choked on his coffee.

******************************

'I was telling you, that man was useless.' Mr. Siddiqui said as he and Rifaat decided to take a break from the house hunting.

'Chachu, you leave. I will manage.' Rifaat assured her Uncle.

'But beta! How can I leave you alone with that...nutcase?' Mr. Siddiqui said. Rifaat laughed. But then she insisted a lot that he left and that she will manage. After much insistence and assurance Mr. Siddiqui reluctantly left. Rifaat smiled, the sweet taste of freedom, independence. She wore her sunglasses and walked to a nearest café for some snacks and coffee.

It has been a tiring day with no result, Rifaat is still positive that things will go her way, this is Mumbai after all. Finding house won't be easy, Rifaat is mentally prepared. Luckily, few distance from the broker's agency is a Stat Buck Café outlet.

Rifaat exhaled loudly as she took her seat. It is mid-March and she is feeling the heat. She removed her sunglasses and placed it on the table. She fanned herself, looking around for a waiter. As she looked around her gaze fell on a man sitting in the corner. She frowned as she recollected him. He is the same guy from the gym. Rifaat fisted her fingers, so he has followed her till here.
