Professor Riyansh's POV

As soon as I entered in the classroom, the same happened as I anticipated. Everyone was in a quite surprised. Because they must have thought I would be a usual same old professor but I was not. I was amused to see their reactions.

I introduced myself they were all standing up to greet me when I saw her in the back of the class. Her head was down, perhaps she was sleeping.
Well, it was normal for me to see a sleeping girl in the classroom.

Because I could understand boring lectures can make anyone drowsy. So, I went to her to wake up the sleeping beauty. And as I went there then I saw something unique that I have never seen before.

I have seen sleeping students before and once I was one of them too. But what made her unique was her expressions. Though, she was sleeping but it was more looking like she was sculptured there into that position.

She was looking more like a non-living object than a human being because when a human being sleeps though they don't have a happy smile but at least they have innocence on their faces or a feeling of rest.

She was looking so alarmed, so vulnerable, she was looking as if someone had stolen her emotions from her. She could be called an emotionless doll. Her no emotions could inspire so emotions that I felt an urge to look at her and write a poem about her.

Then I called her name at least thrice but she didn't wake up. And my fingers just brushed with hers when she woke with a sudden attack. As if, as if she was horrified of something or someone.
The sculptured emotionless doll that I was seeing was suddenly in an action. But her actions led her bumping herself from the wall.

But she didn't even say anything. She just suppressed her pain in herself. I wondered why? Why would a student who must be only of 21 years or so would go to such an extent to conceal their emotions?

When I asked her if she was okay she finally looked at me. That was the time I saw her eyes for the first time. When I saw them I realized that whoever said that eyes speak more than a person's lips was so true.

Her eyes had all that innocence that I was busy finding on her face. But her eyes moved to other students in the classroom and their staring eyes made her embarrassed. So, she looked down and when she looked up again I realized that the innocence that I just admitted was no more there.
Even her eyes were emotionless like her.

Next few days passed with so much fun. I grew more and more closer to the students. They liked me so much. It becomes easy when you can interact well with your class more like a friend than a Professor. And they were all behaving well.

For them I was their friend, sometimes they cracked joke, sometimes I and whole class used to laugh except her. Forget about laughing she didn't even cared to bet a look on anyone.
All the time I saw her she was just looking out of the window stuck at one position.

She could win any statue competition like that. But that was what made her more mysterious to me. Her emotionless eyes looking out of the window perhaps were searching for an emotion.

Her eyes were an unread book, once I saw few lines of melancholy poetry in them. But then it faded and now they were just blank waiting for an story to written in them again. Once, my pricking curiosity made me question her.

"Arya, Can you please tell me? What are you seeing outside?" I asked with visible curiosity.

"Scenery, The trees, the flowers, the sky." She replied without even turning her face towards me and not being a bit fearful. If any student would be caught by their Professor doing something like watching out of the window in the middle of class. Then upon questioning that student would be nervous or scared. But she was fearless
"Interesting," I thought in my mind and gave a slight smile.

"But don't you think? You can understand more better if you keep your eyes in the class." I questioned.
"I need my ears to hear what you teach, Sir. Not my eyes." She replied still looking out of the window. For some people it would be considered ill-mannered behaviour if some student talk like that with their Professor.

But for me it was courage. I didn't know the one I was thinking to be of a doll would be a roaring lioness. She impressed me with that one. But for the sake of class I kept my expression still.

"But how would you takes notes then if you would continuously look outside." I questioned her again. Because her replies were interesting.
"I believe in self-made notes." She said casually. She was a lioness, roaring, independent lioness who doesn't need anyone to help her. And that made me more thirsty from curious as for why such a ferocious women would be so alarmed while sleeping and would be so fearful when my fingers just brushed her.

I smiled lowering my head at this. "If that's the matter then it's ok, it's fine. Then you can look outside of the window." I said casually and with a bit of kindness. And that was when her head turned to me as an immediate reaction. She looked at me with a super bewildered look.

"What do you mean that's ok?" she questioned with confusion.

"That means it's just ok." I said with shrugging my shoulders.

Her confusion doubled. She had an expression that was telling me that she thought I was kidding.

"You mean, you would have no problem. You haven't scold me yet. You haven't even threatened me to call my parents yet. You didn't even tell me to get out of the class for my behaviour yet." She shot questions at me with the speed of bullet
I chuckled and said, "Arya, Arya calm down. It's fine. First of all I am not like others. And second is that if you can enjoy nature while studying and can manage study as well. Then why would I have a problem? And it's good you like to look at the outside scenery. Nature helps you. I am your teacher and I want what best for you, okay." I said quenching her questions.

She was still looking at me like an alien. I even noticed she took her hand and pinched it sneaking it from everyone.

Then I looked at the class and said, "Dear class, I know you all are different. And I understand that and I respect that. No one has the right to snatch your right of being different or being who you are. So, just be who you are. No matter what the situations are. That's the only way you can grow ,Okay." And I give them a smile.

And from somewhere someone started clapping and they all started applauding for me. I felt touched by their gesture. I just smiled kindly, I looked at her and she was still in daze. Then I just resumed the class and after few seconds she started staring out of the windows again.

To be continued...
