When Austin told me about his history with Britney, I was shocked to say at least. I knew they probably had something but it never occurred to me that it was that. Of course, it didn't bother me but it just left me slightly insecure for a second I guess. Because Britney was still Austin's first and people say most people who are each other's first have a special thing or something.

But after Austin assured me slightly, I felt slightly more relieved I suppose.

"Where do you think I'm taking you?" Austin asks breaking me out of my thoughts. "I don't know, but you seem to be going towards... Times Square?" I mumble as my eyebrows furrow.

Times Square was in the main city and we didn't exactly live close to it. He chuckles, his voice sounding distant over the noise of traffic around us and the motor of the bike. "Yeah, it's kind of in the city," he says and I nod as I place my head on his back, keeping my arms wrapped around him tightly.

Even though I had sat on his bike a lot, it still didn't make it any less scary though now I was more comfortable on it. I would still prefer my car or even his for the matter.

After a few minutes, I feel Austin's bike come to a stop and then his muscles flex underneath my cheek as he turns the keys, turning the bike off. I turn my head and look over his shoulder at the little cute diner he has parked in front of.

"Where are we?" I ask. "To the place that has the best coffee known to mankind," Austin says in a matter-of-fact tone. "No way, Macy's has the coffee," I argue. "As much as I would like to agree, baby, this place has coffee to die for," he brags and my heart flutters when he calls me 'baby'.

"Well baby, I think we both know I would die for any coffee, especially good coffee," I say and he chuckles, his body vibrating and I see his cheeks turn pink when I call him 'baby' and that causes me to smile.

"Well damn, I should be worried. Don't need you dying for every coffee you see now do we?" He says and I slightly roll my eyes even though I'm smiling. He lightly taps my hand indicating for me to remove them from around him. I do as told and he gets off his bike, removing his helmet and gloves before offering me a hand that I take before getting off his bike.

"So, what is this place?" I ask. "A diner. A diner that is very close to me," he mumbles the last part and I see a distant look pass on his face. My eyebrows furrow slightly and I feel him squeeze my hand before sighing and looking at me.

He looks at me before smiling slightly and bringing his free hand that isn't holding mine up and brushing a curl away from my face.

"A few years ago my mom had come to New York, for work purposes for a few weeks. She got me here with her, Gwen was doing fine at the time but my mom thought it would still be a good way for me to just get a break in a way. Gwen was so disappointed because she loved New York and always wanted to come here, but because of her treatment, she couldn't. I wanted to stay back with her but mom convinced me and we spent a few weeks here. This diner here was the place we came to every day for breakfast and dinner. My mom was also a caffeine addict like you and she loved the coffee here. So did I, because it sure is fucking amazing. After we moved here I came here a lot, it just made me feel close to my mom in a way. I haven't been here in a while and well, since you love coffee so much I thought I could bring you here," He says, the whole time there is a small sad smile on his face as if he is recalling all those memories.

"Oh, Austin," I whisper as I pull him close to me and hug him. He wraps his arms around me and kisses my hair. We stay like that for a few minutes before he pulls away. "So, shorty, you ready to make some new memories with me here?" He asks as he takes a hold of my hand, looking down at me.

"Yes," I smile and he smiles back before pushing the door open, in front of us.

♡♡♡

I was sitting at one of the tables by the corner of the diner, looking through Austin's maths test, while he was at the counter ordering for the both of us.

He had done much better, only messing up a few sums by silly mistakes and I was proud of him for doing much better in maths. English was going good for him too, he just didn't understand certain things and I was able to help him with that.

"Austin!?" I hear a female voice say in much enthusiasm which makes me lift up my eyes from the paper and look in the direction.

There stands a redhead gorgeous girl with a huge smile on her face as she looks in the direction my boyfriend is standing in. Austin turns around and when he sees the girl he smiles slightly.

"Hey, there Issy!" he says and greets her in a one-sided hug making my stomach turn for some odd reason. 'Issy' certainly sounded like a nickname, you have to be close to someone to have a nickname for them.

I have never really seen Austin smile unless around me which is why seeing him smile at another girl makes me slightly... jealous.

"What are you doing here?" Austin asks the small smile still on his face. "Oh, I was just going around the place, we leave in a few days so just having a last glance at the city," she says and Austin nods.

"What about you?" She asks. He takes a hold of the tray which has two cups of coffee and two cookies, "Well I was here with..." he trails off and looks in my direction with a smile and I blush before offering a tight-lipped smile. He chuckles, "my girlfriend, Indy," he finishes, nodding in my direction and she turns to me with a huge smile and wide eyes.

"Oh my god! The last time I talked to you she was still a crush!" she shrieks loudly causing most people in the diner to turn in their direction. Austin blushes slightly and I found my smile slightly widening.

Both of them start walking towards the table I'm sitting at. Austin takes a seat in the chair in front of me while the other girl, whose name I still don't know pulls a chair from the empty table beside us and takes a seat.

"Indy, this is Isla, my friend I told you about and Isla this is Indy," Austin introduces. "Oh my god! I have heard so much about you!" Isla squeals and I smile. "Good things only, I hope." I say and she grins.

"Of course, this idiot talks about you so much. He is whipped I tell you; Indy this, Indy that," she says and Austin and I both blush. "So when did you guys make it official?" Isla asks.

"I asked her just a few days ago on Thanksgiving," he says and she smiles. "Did he do anything special?" She asks me. I shrug as I smile at the memory, "He just asked," I say. "Just asked? No flowers, nothing?" She asks and I shake my head.

She hits the back of Austin's head, "I thought I taught you better than that," She says and Austin rolls his eyes. "She liked it," he shrugs taking a hold of my hand and I smile. "Did she tell you that?" She asks and his eyebrows furrow, "...No," he mumbles and she hums.

"Shorty, babe how about you try your coffee before it gets cold, hmm?" He says trying to change the subject and I giggle and nod, Isla rolls her eyes.

I take a hold of my cup of coffee with my free hand just as Isla's phone rings.

"I'm so sorry, but I have to get going. It was great meeting you Indy," Isla says with a small smile, as she looks at the caller id. "Of course, it was great meeting you too," I say.

Isla stands up and Austin and I follow, giving her a hug. "Bye," we wave as she walks out of the diner.

"Jealousy looks cute on you," Austin says as we sit down. "What do you mean?" I ask with furrowed eyebrows and red cheeks. "You think I didn't feel your eyes burning through me when I hugged Isla?" He asks with a chuckle.

"Shut up, in my defence I had never really seen you smile at anyone or hug them, so it caught me kind of off guard," I mumble as my cheeks become red.

"Well, shorty, I have one smile that is reserved for you and you only," he says and I blush. "Stop," I whine and he chuckles and picks up my hand kissing the back of it. "You have a smile for me and me only?" He asks softly and I nod with a smile, "I do," I mumble and he grins at me.

I pick up my coffee mug and take a sip of it. My eyes widen the moment the coffee touches my tongue, "Holy shit Aus, this is the best coffee I have ever had," I mumble, not even caring that I just cursed. "Well, damn. It must be, I mean you just cursed," he chuckled as he takes a sip of his own coffee.

I take another sip and nearly end up moaning at how amazing it tastes. Austin was clearly right when he said this was the best coffee to ever exist.

"Austin, I swear I might end up getting down on one knee and proposing to you because you just introduced me to the best coffee in the world," I say and a blush coats his cheeks before he smirks. "I might hold your word to it shorty," he says as he leans over the table and kisses my cheek.

♡♡♡

The sight in front of my house makes my body stiff and my blood cold.

Cop cars, right there in front of my house and there is my dad, handcuffed as two cops hold him. The entire neighbourhood was standing outside their houses, looking at our house. My mom was by the front porch, Bryan holding her as he rubbed her arm as she stared at my father with red, puffy eyes with mascara streaming down her cheeks.

"What's going on?" Austin mumbles as we see the cops pushing my dad into the car. My dad's eyes meet mine and they soften, "Ind-" he starts but the cops push him harshly and he gets into the car, his eyes remaining on me the entire time as the car drives off.

I gulp finding it hard to comprehend what I just saw. "Indy?" I hear Austin say worriedly as his grip on my hand tightens. "I-I'm fine. That was... That was my dad," I mumble and his eyes widen.

"Fuck," he mumbles and pulls me closer and hugs me. My hands wrap around him and my hands make a fist on his back, holding some material of his shirt.

He holds me back and it makes me feel better. It makes me feel safe and at comfort.

I pull away from him after a minute and turn to look at my mom and Bryan who are both now looking at me. I walk towards my mom, "He came back again," she whispered the minute I reach her and I nod. "He was high Indy, a-and he t-tried to touch me, and do t-things. Thank god I had Bryan on speed dial and he came in under 5 minutes or else I don't know what I would have done," she whispered and my heart clenched.

"Oh my g-god," I whisper shakily and hug my mom.

♡♡♡

Jayden and Ryan are both silent when mom finishes talking.

Bryan is still beside my mom. He seems to be the only thing keeping her at comfort right now.

Jayden and Ryan were both not home when this happened, they were gone to Target to get some stuff.

"He's gone now, for good. I called the cops, turns out he had been selling drugs and buying them from a big dealer they have been trying to catch him and your dad for a while since he happened to be one of his biggest buyers," my mom says and I take a deep breath in.

"He is gone now," I mumble to myself and she nods. "We are safe, we don't have to worry about him coming back anytime soon and doing anything to us," she says and I find comfort in those words.

"Your okay, right?" I ask and she shakes her head, "I'm still shaken, I mean I- anything could have happened if Bryan hadn't shown up," she says and I close my eyes.

Silence remains in the whole house, all of us going into our own rooms, Bryan staying the night with my mom.

♡♡♡

"Hey," I mumble when Austin picks up. "Hi, are you alright? I heard about everything that happened. Is your mom alright?" he asks, throwing questions.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Mom is doing okay, she is still shaken about everything, Bryan is staying over with her tonight," I say and he hums.

"Austin?" I whisper. "Yes, baby?" He asks, sending butterflies to my stomach.

"C-can you come over tonight?" I say. "Come over as in stay with you tonight?" He asks and I fidget with my own fingers. "Yes," I mumble.

For some reason, I just want him to be here with me. Hold me or something, I don't even know. But the whole aura in the house is making me feel... I don't even know how to describe it.

But something about the thought of him holding me and wrapping my arms around him makes me feel more... relived.

Austin doesn't say anything and just as I'm about to apologize or tell him to forget it he says, "Yes, of course. I will be there in 5 minutes, cool?" he asks and I nod, a small smile on my face.

"Cool," I mumble.
