Caleb

My alarm went off at 4:00 AM as it has been doing so for the last couple of days. I threw a pillow above my head and decided to skip whatever I had to do so early. However, my eyes shot open as soon as I remembered the reason why I am waking up so early.

I used to train with my father after school three times a week. However, since last Sunday I have been spending that time with Anna. My mother told my father the reason why I wanted to change our training hours. So, he invited me, or more like forced me, to join him in his regular training, which is from Monday to Friday. At least today is Friday. I met my father outside the house at 4:30 AM sharp.

At 6:00 AM we were back at the house. It might not take as much time, but training with him is intense. I could barely breathe. I went to my room and all I wanted to do was to go back to bed, but Matt would be here at 6:45 AM to go to the florist and then to Anna's apartment.  I stopped asking Samuel to take me to the florist because of the constant teasing.

I took a shower and got ready for school. I barely had time to eat anything before Matt was honking outside like a madman. I went out, greeted him and got into the car. He nodded and drove away from my house.

"Which flower are you getting her today?" he asked without looking at me.

"I had been trying to find primroses for a long time. The florist told me that he finally got them," I said without hiding my happiness. Primroses mean 'I cannot live without you.' I have been wanting to tell her that for a while now.

Matt chuckled but it looked forced. He has been acting sarcastic and cold toward me for the last two weeks. I looked at him with a serious face.

"Is there a problem, Matt?"

"Nope. Everything is just right." Matt answered with a dismissive tone without meeting my eyes. He gripped the steering wheel until his knuckles were turning white.

"It does not look like it. If you got a problem with me, tell me."

Matt mumbled something that I could not catch and turned to me with a smile.

"I just hope that you treasure her and make her happy. Do not hurt her, please," he whispered.

I was about to tell him that I would never allow anyone or anything to hurt her when he pulled up into the florist's parking lot. I sighed and went to get the flowers. There is definitely something weird going on with him.

I got the primroses. They are even prettier than I expected. Matt drove to her apartment. I heard his increasing heart rate as we got closer to my mate's apartment. I rolled my eyes and looked out the window while I opened and closed one hand to calm down.

Oh, so that is the reason. I am just going to pretend I did not notice that. I could have said something, but I did not think it was necessary. At the end of the day, it is always her choice. My part here is to love her. She is the one who decides who she loves back.

When we finally arrived, I got out of the car and I shook my head trying to shake the bad feelings off. Staying quiet is becoming increasingly difficult. Before her, I had never felt jealousy. Nonetheless, I know she cares about Matt and I never want to fight with her again.

Her car was still there. I am glad that she is not an early bird. I left the flowers in the glass vase she put there about five days ago and placed the card beside it.

My darling got used to getting flowers every day. I could not help but smile as I imagined her happy face when she reads the note. I went back to the car and Matt and I drove to school in an awkward silence. Perhaps, Samuel's teasing is not that bad.

When we arrived at school Samuel was already there. We stayed in the parking lot chatting and waiting for Anna. I know doing this might be too obvious, but I need to be the first person she talks to every day. I want to at least have that.

As usual, some girls approached us. It does not matter how much I ignore them, they keep coming back. I knew the ones who are pack members, the ones who I had slept with, and the ones who are both. The guys and I can usually shoo them away pretty quickly but today they were very adamant about talking to us.

Two girls stepped closer to me. "Hi! Caleb." The girl that I do know tried to kiss my cheek but I dodged her and took two steps back. There is no way I am letting Anna smell another girl on me.

"Do not touch me." I kept a blank face and glanced away hoping to see Anna arrive. She is usually here either thirty minutes before class or five minutes late for class.

The girl stood silent for a second but then kept talking. "This is my friend Amaly."

I nodded but kept looking away. The two girls suddenly left and another girl tried to get my attention. "Hi, babe!"

I rolled my eyes. That was the girl whose-name-I-do-not-bother-remembering who made fun of Anna the day Anna was hungover and did not want to answer her phone. Just the thought of her trying to ridicule Anna made me angry.

I held a growl back and turned to tell her to never talk to me again, but I froze mid-action. I felt my wolf getting excited and I immediately knew what that meant. My face should have revealed my happiness because the girl in front of me latched her arms around my neck and stood on her tiptoes.

I pushed her away but Anna was already parking in her usual spot. I growled at the girl and everyone there turned to look at me. I seldom growl at any of my pack members or show much of my anger in general. Most of the time, a look is enough to keep them in place. I glared at her and she quivered, showed her neck and put her hands up in submission.

"What the he-" I stopped talking and turned around. I could feel her eyes on me. Anna was staring at me with her arms crossed.

My feet began moving in her direction before I could process what was happening. My hands and my lower lip were trembling. I could not read her facial expression. Is she going to hate me again? I would not be able to deal with her coldness. I thought that she would ignore me and leave but she just stood there, her eyes fixed on mine.

"Anna, that was no-"

Anna smiled and caressed my cheeks. Just then I realized I was crying. She wiped off my tears and moved her arms toward me. I thought she would hug me, but her arms fell to her sides. She sighed, pulling out her phone and typing, instead.

"Anna. I-"

She put a hand in front of my face signaling me to shut up and kept typing with the other one. After she was done she looked back at me and gave me a soft smile. She signaled my pocket and I pulled out my phone. A text message had arrived.

My Precious Mate: How badly I wish I could kiss you right now. Do not be sad. I love you and I trust you.

I let out a breath I did not know I was holding. A smile spread across my face as I thought about what this meant. She truly chose me. I was fighting myself to not hug her and kiss her right there, but I was losing the fight.

"I do not know what you pretend Mr. King, but I suggest you go to class," Anna said as she walked away.

I took deep breaths to stop the ideas crossing my mind but it was useless. I mindlinked Samuel to cover up for me and did the most logical thing to do. I rushed to catch up with her. We walked in silence to the classroom, but I was sure she could hear my heart thundering in my chest. Anna entered the room and I locked the door behind me.

I roughly pulled her into a hug and breathed in her scent. I heard her gasp when her body crashed with mine. I slowly ran my hands from the back of her head to her thighs. Anna was looking up at me with such innocent eyes. I grabbed her tights and pulled her up. She wrapped her legs around me. "Good girl," I whispered in her ear. Goosebumps formed on her neck.

I placed her on the edge of her desk. She tensed up. However, when I brushed her hair aside and kissed her neck, she relaxed and grabbed my hair. "Tell me how bad you want to kiss me now," I said. Her only response was her heavy breathing.

Feeling her body against mine did not help me diminish my need for her but it sure made me feel good. I am sure that in this position, she can feel how much I desire her. I shamelessly ground against her, and she pulled away from me. I grabbed her hips and pulled her lower body closer again without tearing my gaze away from hers.

"Anna..." I said in a pleading tone.
