Tyrone Argyros POV

'P- promise to take c- care of yourself a- and our c- children, if I don't make it o- out alive.'

Her words still echoes in my head, chasing my sleep away.

It's been six months since I last heard her voice or saw her precious sapphire gems, our boys never left her side. Arcadia and Acacia are too young to witness such thing that's why I left them with the sisters.

However Egan, Eyton, Jacob, and Eden refused to leave the hospital's room ever since they found out what happened.

Eden's injury was somewhat healed, but he still shouldn't move too much yet he wouldn't listen. He said that he wouldn't leave his madre's side for anything.

Eyton sleeps every night snuggled to my chest, he wanted to sleep by his mother's side but I convinced him that he might hurt her if he did. So he opted for sleeping on my chest instead, his tears too like his brothers' are yet to be dried.

As for Egan he barely spoke during the last few months, neither did let go of his mother's hand. He sleeps with it tightly grasped in his small hands, I even saw him multiple times praying with his both hands wrapped around hers with his eyes shut tightly. Earnestly praying for her to be back to him.

When he first knew about the accident he fell on the ground sobbing loudly, his tears stained his cheeks for days. I've rarely saw him crying since he reached the age 5, he always said that crying was not for men and that he had to be strong to be able to protect his siblings. So when I saw him crying for almost a month while locking himself up in his room, it broke my heart more.

Flashbacks.

One day one of the maids called me saying that she heard some noise coming from his room along with screaming for awhile before it suddenly stopped. I left the hospital heading home to his room only to find it locked.

After breaking in I was shocked and scared at the same time, his room was a mess. Clothes were scattered carelessly around the room, the nightstand was flipped over, the flower vases along with picture frames were broken and laying on a floor surrounded by splatters of blood. And there in the far end of the room laid my son unconscious with his wrists cut and a razor blade laying in his sickly pale hand.

I rushed to him, fear gripping my heart and mind like no other. My precious son was a mess, hair disheveled, cheeks stained with tears, skin unhealthily pale, he even got thinner. I picked him up and rushed him to the hospital.

When he finally woke up few days later, and I asked him why he did it. He simply said, 'it's been a month since she got hit, and she's yet to wake.'

'So? Is that an excuse to harm yourself?' I asked sternly.

'If she's gone, I would have no one to care for me. Why would I continue living when my momma isn't here anymore?' He answered sobbing.

'What about me? Aren't I a reason enough for you?'

'She's my momma. She's everything to me. I can't live in a world where she doesn't exist. I'm sorry, dad!' His tears were still flowing unhindered.

'Who said anything would happen to her? You harmed yourself based on some mere assumptions!' I was barely controlling my anger.

'A month in coma never was a positive sign, dad. I'm young, not dumb.' He answered calmly.

'As long as she's breathing you should have faith that she'll be back. She would fight death itself to be with us. You should pray for her safety instead of harming yourself'

'Are you serious dad? Is there a chance she would be back for us?' His eyes widened in anticipation.

'There is always hope as long as she's breathing, you just need to have patience, okay, son?' I assured.

He nodded.

'Good! Now, son, I need you to promise me to never think of doing something like that. Something you know your mother would never be happy about."

'I promise, dad. I just thought that if I did that I get to lessen the pain and be with her at the same time. Two birds, one stone.' He said shrugging.

I looked at him, dumfounded, how could a merely 10 years old boy have such horrendous thoughts. 'You best belief your mother will have a lengthy talk with you about your behaviour once she's awake and fully recovered!' I said sternly.

His eyes widened in fear before he started stuttering, 'd- dad, we really s- shouldn't bother her with this tiny matter.' He tried to act smart.

'Then you wouldn't have to worry if it's so tiny as you describe it!'

'Dad, please! You know I would grounded for the rest of eternity.' I almost laughed at his exaggeration. Well, at least he knows his mother well. 'Please.' He pouted cutely. I studied him in disbelief, my son who thought pouting was for children was actually pouting to get away from his mother's wrath. This sure is a phenomena.

'Not working. Now rest.' I said leaving to check on Zelda. I was about to give in to his cute antics but he needs to learn that the easy way is not always the best option. That problems need to be fronted and solved, and pain need to be fought. And who's better than my lovely wife at teaching that to our children.

End of Flashbacks.

Egan stayed with his mother from the day he was discharged. He never did anything harmful to himself again, but I knew a huge piece of him was snatched away by this incident. He seemed much more matured than he ever was, it seems as though his childhood innocence was snatched away from him in a blink.

As for Zelda it still breaks my heart whenever I see at her flat stomach, thinking how would she react when she finally wakes up and gets to know what happened.

She would be devastated.

My family was almost ripped apart. The light in my son's eyes was dulled, my wife is laying in a hospital bed fighting for her life, my unborn children-

All because of a bunch of fuckers who didn't know when to back off when the chance presented itself. They kept poking my dormant beast, urging him out of the cage I locked him up in all those years ago, and now that it was fully awake and vengeful. They would know why they should have never touched my family.

Lee called saying they got the ones responsible of the crash, I was about to exit the hospital room when a faint pained whisper had me frozen in place.

'Baby. My baby' I turned back to see if she was awake only to find her clutching her stomach tightly with her free hand, and a tear slipping her closed eye.

It wasn't the first time this happened, she would call for our baby, almost everyday for the past six months.

I sighed, marched back towards her, kissed her cheeks, forehead, and lips before walking out of the room.

Whomever the fucking mastermind behind this is better run before I have my hands on them.
